[Songs Meant for Other Artists] Monica – Stay or Go

10 Mar

Track Title: “Stay or Go.”

Written by: Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith and Brandon “Bei Maejor” Green.

Originally Recorded By: Tynisha Keli.

Made Famous By: Monica.

“Stay or Go” was initially slotted for inclusion on Tynisha Keli’s debut album “The Chronicles of TK” [Warner Music Group / Warner Bros. Records].

The “I Wish You Loved Me” singer even posted a video clip with Ne-Yo on her MySpace profile, talking about the song and how excited she was to have collaborated with Ne-Yo on the project.

Unfortunately, the track did not make the album’s final cut and ended up on Monica’s critically-acclaimed sixth offering “Still Standing.” That release debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered hit singles “Everything to Me” and “Love All Over Me.”
