Miguel selects title for fourth studio collection

Miguel has selected the title for his upcoming fourth album.

The American singer/songwriter (born Miguel Jontel Pimentel) christened his next studio collection “War & Leisure” and will release it later this year via Bystorm Entertainment / RCA Records.

Lead promotional single “Sky Walker” – which was co-written and produced by regular collaborator Happy Perez – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Follow-up single “Shock and Awe” was co-written with Warren “Oak” Felder (Usher), Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Chris Brown), Steve “Aceface” Mostyn (Prince Royce) and Ronald “Flip” Colson (Kendrick Lamar).

Other musicians expected to appear on “War & Leisure” are Raphael Saadiq (Adrian Marcel), Fraser T. Smith (Craig David), Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars), James “Malay” Ho (Sam Smith), Dave Sitek (Theophilus London), Salaam Remi (Mack Wilds) and Fisticuffs (Jazmine Sullivan).

Miguel’s last studio collection, 2015’s “Wildheart,” debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Coffee,” “Going to Hell,” “NWA” and “What’s Normal Anyway.”

Miguel reunites with Raphael Saadiq for new collaboration

Miguel has reunited with Raphael Saadiq for a new collaboration.

Saadiq previously co-wrote and produced “FLESH” for Miguel alongside Anup Kumar Paul. The track appears on Miguel’s 2015 album, “Wildheart.”

Saadiq’s credits also include Usher’s “Champions,” Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky,” Andra Day’s ‘Gold,” Whitney Houston’s “Fine,” Mary J. Blige’s “I See in Color,” and Erykah Badu’s “Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop).”

Miguel, on the other hand, is expected to release his fourth studio collection later this year via Bystorm Entertainment in partnership with RCA Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers additional alliances with Malay, Happy Perez, Emile Haynie, Dave Sitek, Salaam Remi, Fisticuffs, and MakeYouKnowLove.

Yuna reveals tracklisting for new international album “Chapters”

Yuna has revealed the tracklisting for her upcoming international album.

The Malaysian singer/songwriter will release “Chapters” – featuring the DJ Premier-produced “Places to Go” – on May 20 through Verve Records.

Current single “Crush” – featuring vocals from R&B crooner Usher – is now available for download via iTunes and all other online outlets.

Brian Warfield and Mac Robinson of Fisticuffs serve as executive producers on “Chapters.” The duo’s resume includes works with Mariah Carey (“#Beautiful”), Jhene Aiko (“The Worst”) and Miguel (“Quickie”).

Yuna announces new international album “Chapters”

Yuna has announced the details for her upcoming international album.

The Malaysian singer-songwriter christened her next studio collection “Chapters” and will release it on May 20 via Verve Records.

Lead single “Places to Go” was produced by DJ Premier, whose other credits include Mack Wilds’ “Keepin’ it Real” [Larger Than Life], Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man” [RCA] and Dr. Dre’s “Animals” [Interscope].

“Chapters” – featuring further productions from Brian Warfield and Mac Robinson of the Fisticuffs – serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Nocturnal,” which peaked to number 27 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart.

Jhene Aiko drops “Spotless Mind” music video

Jhene Aiko is out with a new music video online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Spotless Mind” to her official Vevo page on Thursday (January 22, 2014).

“Spotless Mind” was co-written and produced by regular collaborator Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson, who also contributed to the next projects by Elijah Blake [Def Jam Recordings] and Snoh Aalegra [Epic Records].

The track is lifted from Aiko’s debut album, “Souled Out,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

Other musicians backing Aiko on “Souled Out” are Fisticuffs (Miguel, Jazmine Sullivan), Clams Casino (Mikky Ekko, FKA twigs), Key Wane (Beyonce, Ariana Grande) and Dot da Genius (WZRD, Kid Cudi).

Jhene Aiko has revealed the credits for her upcoming debut album.

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Souled Out” on September 9 via Def Jam Recordings / Virgin EMI Records.

Current single “The Pressure” was helmed by Brian Warfield and Mac Robinson of songwriting and production duo Fisticuffs, who also worked with Mariah Carey and Miguel on hit single “#Beautiful.”

Other album contributors include No I.D. (Common, Kanye West), Clams Casino (Pia Mia, FKA twigs), James Fauntleroy (Usher, Justin Timberlake), Key Wane (Beyonce, Ariana Grande) and Dot Da Genius (WZRD, Kid Kudi).

Jhene Aiko premieres “The Pressure” music video

Jhene Aiko has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the CALMATIC and Donald Glover-directed clip for “The Pressure” to her official Vevo page on Tuesday (September 2, 2014).

Production duties on “The Pressure” were handled by Mac Robinson and Brian Warfield of The Fisticuffs, who also worked with the likes of Mariah Carey (“Beautiful”), Miguel (“Quickie”) and Jazmine Sullivan (“One Night Stand”).

As previously reported, Aiko is scheduled to release her debut album “Souled Out” on September 9 via ARTium Records / Def Jam Recordings.

The highly-anticipated studio collection will boast further alliances with No I.D. (Elijah Blake, Kanye West), James Fauntleroy (Brandy, Toni Braxton), Key Wane (Ariana Grande, Big Sean) and Dot Da Genius (Kid Cudi, Rockie Fresh).
