Ella Eyre returns with new single “Mama” featuring Kiana Lede, Banx & Ranx

Ella Eyre has shared her new single online.

“Mama” – featuring Banx & Ranx and Kiana Lede – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Eyre and Lede alongside Dyo (Lauren Jauregui, Zara Larsson), Shakka (Kamille, Sean Paul), Zacharie Raymond (Jason Derulo, Craig David) and Yannick Rastogi (Dua Lipa, Stefflon Don).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Eyre’s upcoming sophomore album, which serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “Feline,” is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records UK.

The still-untitled project reportedly features additional songwriting contributions from Linnea Sodahl, Grace Barker, Caroline Ailin, Natt Dunn, Jin Jin, Chiara Hunter, Sarah Aarons, and Caitlyn Scarlett.

On the production front, Eyre has teamed up with Lostboy, Jay Weathers, Tre Jean-Marie, Laconic, Andrew Wells, DannyBoyStyles, Hitimpulse, Di Genius, Moon Willis, Jordan Riley, Elof Loelv, Mojam, and Invisible Men.

Melissa Steel hits the studio with Rymez, Jin Jin for a new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Melissa Steel has teamed up with Rodney “Rymez” Hwingwiri and Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett for a new collaboration.

Rymez recently produced the entirety of Stefflon Don’s current project under Polydor Records, “Secure,” which features guest appearances from Future (“What You Want”), DJ Khaled (“Win”), Sean Paul (“Hurtin’ Me”), Ebenezer (“Uber”) and Tiggs Da Author (“Pretty Girl”).

Meanwhile, Jin Jin’s songwriting resume boasts works with Jess Glynne (“Hold My Hand”), Tinie Tempah (“Not Letting Go”), Jax Jones (“You Don’t Know Me”), Yebba Smith (“Evergreen”), Raye (“Decline”), Little Mix (“Grown”), Kiesza (“Don’t Want You Back”) and Sabrina Carpenter (“Alien”).

Steel’s upcoming project, on the other hand, reportedly delivers further contributions from Banx & Ranx, Caitlyn Scarlett, Ill Blu, Grace Ackerman, Alex Adair, Grace Barker, Knightstarr, Lekenah, TobyShyBoy, Dyo, Maestro Tha Baker, Chiara Hunter, ADP, Lauren Aquilina, and Diztortion.

Lennon Stella enlists Caroline Ailin for debut album

Lennon Stella has enlisted Caroline Ailin for a new collaboration.

The Norwegian singer/songwriter is responsible for co-penning Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” Olivia Holt’s “History,” Aanysa’s “Burn Break Crash,” Grades’ “Crocodile Tears,” JKay’s “Danger,” and Alex Adair’s “Casual.”

Ailin has also contributed to the next projects by Alma, Jojo, Ella Mai, Hailee Steinfeld, Louisa Johnson, Melissa Steel, Natalie La Rose, Ella Eyre, John Newman, Olly Murs, Zara Larsson, Alice Chater, Ella Henderson, Dua Lipa, Imani Williams, James Arthur, and L Devine.

Meanwhile, Stella is expected to release her debut project later this year via Barry Weiss’ label RECORDS in partnership with Columbia Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly yields additional contributions from Jenna Andrews, Max McElligott, Emily Warren, Nate Cyphert, Fiona Bevan, Sean Douglas, Caitlyn Scarlett, Sam Fischer, Chloe Angelides, Trey Campbell, Ali Tamposi, Gladius James, Ashe, Sarah Aarons, and Ella Henderson.

Caitlyn Scarlett has released her new promotional single online.

“B.I.G.” – which was co-written and produced by Eddy Atlantis – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Scarlett’s upcoming project “Red Tape, Vol. 2” – featuring previous singles “Ornaments” and “Happy When” – is expected to arrive later this year.

Having signed a publishing deal with BMG, Scarlett has contributed to the next releases by Lennon Stella, Dan Caplen, and Ella Eyre.

Ella Eyre hits the studio with Caitlyn Scarlett, Mojam Music

Ella Eyre has teamed up with fellow recording artist Caitlyn Scarlett and songwriting/production duo Mojam Music for a new collaboration.

In addition to putting the final touches on her upcoming project “Red Tape, Vol. 2,” Scarlett also co-penned a new song for Columbia Records-signee Lennon Stella entitled “Script” alongside Fiona Bevan and MNEK.

Meanwhile, Mojam (composed of Mustafa Omer and James Murray) previously collaborated with Eyre on the remix to “If I Go,” as well as Naughty Boy’s “Think About It,” which peaked to number twelve on the UK R&B Singles Chart.

Eyre, on the other hand, is expected to release her sophomore studio collection and follow-up to 2015’s “Feline” later this year via Virgin EMI Records.

Caitlyn Scarlett premieres music video for new single “Happy When”

Caitlyn Scarlett has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The visual clip for “Happy When” was posted to the British singer/songwriter’s Vevo channel on Tuesday (January 30, 2018).

The track was co-written by Jonny Lattimer, whose other credits include Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed,” Kwabs’ “Walk,” Sinead Harnett’s “Rather Be with You,” Rebecca Ferguson’s “Backtrack,” Foxes’ “Amazing,” Zak Abel’s “Rock Bottom,” The Shires’ “Common Language,” and Frances’ “Let it Out.”

Production duties on “Happy When” were handled by Fred Cox, who is also responsible for Kiah Victoria’s “Treat Me,” Betsy’s “Heavy Head,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Grace,” Denai Moore’s “Leave it Up to You,” Tanika’s “Fuck Boy,” Rosie Lowe’s “So Human,” and Chloe Leone’s “Comfortably Me.”

As mentioned in various media outlets, Scarlett’s upcoming project “Red Tape, Vol. 2” is scheduled to arrive later this year via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Having recently signed a publishing deal with BMG, Scarlett has also penned songs on the forthcoming releases by Lennon Stella [RECORDS / Columbia Records] and Dan Caplen [Atlantic Records UK].

Lennon Stella signs new deal with RECORDS / Columbia Records

Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress Lennon Stella has signed a new deal with RECORDS/Columbia Records and will release her upcoming debut project later this year.

“Lennon’s unique artistry, point of view, distinctive vocal ability and star-power is simply overwhelming,” says Barry Weiss, Partner & Co-Founder, RECORDS. “We’re super excited to have her here at RECORDS. I’m elated that Jenna Andrews (who does A&R for the label) brought her to us.”
