TLC confirm new single details

TLC have confirmed the details for their new single.

The American girl group christened “Way Back” – featuring Snoop Dogg – as the lead single from their upcoming album and will release it on April 14 via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by group member T-Boz – real name Tionne Watkins – alongside James “JHart” Abrahart, whose credits include Jake Miller’s “Good Thing,” Zara Larsson’s “I Would Like,” Charlie Puth’s “Dangerously,” Little Mix’s “Power,” Justin Bieber’s “Company,” and Rita Ora’s “Body on Me.”

Production duties on “Way Back” were handled by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile, who is also responsible for LeToya Luckett’s “I’m Ready,” Usher’s “Mind of a Man,” Jordin Sparks’ “Casual Love,” Daye Jack’s “Supernatural,” Wynter Gordon’s “Back to You,” Mack Wilds’ “Go Crazy,” and Ariana Grande’s “Moonlight.”

As mentioned in various media outlets, TLC’s final studio collection – which was executive produced by Ron Fair – will arrive on June 30.

The follow-up to 2002’s “3D” reportedly delivers additional alliances with Dallas Austin (Madonna, Janet Jackson), Makeba Riddick (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez), Kwame Holland (Fantasia, Christina Aguilera), Rock City (Ciara, Kelly Rowland) and Candice Pillay (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera).

Sevyn Streeter shares “Love in Competition” acoustic performance

Sevyn Streeter has shared a new live performance video online.

The singer/songwriter posted the acoustic rendition for “Love in Competition” to her YouTube channel on Tuesday (January 05, 2016).

“Love in Competition” was co-written by J-Doe, whose other credits include Jennifer Lopez’s “Acting Like That” [Capitol], Ariana Grande’s “Right There” [Republic], and Kelly Rowland’s “Keep it Between Us” [Motown].

Production duties on the original version were handled by Da Internz, who are also behind Tamar Braxton’s “If I Don’t Have You” [Epic], John Legend’s “Made to Love” [Columbia], and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Cash Money].

Streeter’s latest mini-collection “Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

Other EP contributors include Dem Jointz (Dr. Dre), Candice Pillay (Rihanna), Hit-Boy (Beyonce), Micah Powell (Tank), B.A.M. (K. Michelle), Count Justice (Chris Brown), Tiffany Fred (Zendaya), and Mansur Zafr (Ashanti).

Rihanna has unleashed the artwork for her upcoming eighth album.

The singer/songwriter christened her next studio collection “Anti” and will release it later this year through Roc Nation Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic” features singles “FourFiveSeconds,” “American Oxygen” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

It is also executive-produced by Kanye West, whose resume includes works with Madonna (“Illuminati”), Alicia Keys (“Unbreakable”), The Weeknd (“Tell Your Friends”), Mariah Carey (“Stay the Night”) and Janet Jackson (“My Baby”).

Other producers associated with the keenly-awaited project are Mike Dean (Sky Ferreira), Dallas Austin (Lionel Richie), Alex Da Kid (John Legend), Naughty Boy (Beyonce), DJ Mustard (Keyshia Cole) and Stargate (Demi Lovato).

On the songwriting front, Rihanna has collaborated with Kirby Lauryen (Ariana Grande), Bibi Bourelly (Selena Gomez), Candice Pillay (Christina Aguilera), Charli XCX (Gwen Stefani) and Kiesza (Jennifer Lopez).

Rihanna reunites with Priscilla Renea for eighth album

Rihanna has reunited with Priscilla Renea for her upcoming eighth album.

Renea previously co-wrote “Watch ‘N Learn” for Rihanna along with Alja Jackson and Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis. She also co-wrote “California King Bed,” which peaked to number eight on the UK Singles Chart.

Other notable credits by Renea include Mariah Carey’s “Infinity” [Epic], Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It” [Syco], Cheryl’s “Promise This” [Polydor], Tamar Braxton’s “Tip Toe” [Streamline] and Demi Lovato’s “Fix a Heart” [Hollywood].

She has also contributed to the next projects by Clean Bandit [Atlantic], Rita Ora [Columbia], Chromeo [Last Gang] Usher [RCA] and K. Michelle [Atlantic].

Meanwhile, Rihanna is expected to release her next studio collection later this year through Westbury Road Entertainment and Roc Nation Records.

The highly-anticipated LP will be executive produced by Kanye West, who also worked with Madonna (“Illuminati”), Mariah Carey (“Stay the Night”), Alicia Keys (“You Don’t Know My Name”) and Janet Jackson (“My Baby”).

Sevyn Streeter has unveiled the track list for her upcoming EP.

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Shoulda Been There – Part 1” on July 17 through iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Shoulda Been There” was produced by B.A.M. (K. Michelle, Chris Brown) and Count Justice (Wiz Khalifa, Alesha Dixon).

Other producers backing Streeter on the EP are Mansur Zafr (Ashanti, Keri Hilson), Dem Jointz (Marsha Ambrosius, Janet Jackson), Hit-Boy (Ciara, Selena Gomez) and Cameron Wallace (Beyonce, Christina Milian).

On the songwriting front, Sevyn has teamed up with J-Doe (Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez), Candice Pillay (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera), Michah Powell (Omarion, Chris Brown) and Tiffany Fred (Zendaya, Tamar Braxton).

Rihanna has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “American Oxygen” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (April 16, 2015).

“American Oxygen” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Sam Taylor of X Ambassadors and Candice Pillay, who previously teamed with Rihanna on the Bangladesh-produced hit singles “Cockiness (Love It).”

Production duties on “American Oxygen” were handled by Alex Da Kid, who is also responsible for Nicki Minaj’s “Bed of Lies” f/ Skylar Grey [Republic Records] and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” [KIDinaKORNER / Interscope Records].

Rihanna’s upcoming album eighth album – featuring previous promotional cuts “FourFiveSeconds” and “Bitch Better Have My Money” – will hit stores later this year under Westbury Road Entertainment and Roc Nation Records.

Candice Pillay reveals artwork for Dem Jointz-produced LP “The Mood Kill”

Candice Pillay has revealed the artwork for her upcoming LP.

On December 25, “The Mood Kill” will be available for download via SoundCloud & Audiomack and for streaming via Spotify and Beats Music.

Dwayne “Dem Jointz” Abernathy serves as the LP’s executive producer. His resume also includes works for Brandy (“Put it Down”), Danity Kane (“All in a Day’s Work”) and Jordin Sparks (“Right Here, Right Now”).

As a songwriter, Pillay has penned “Cockiness (Love It)” for Rihanna [Def Jam Recordings] as well as “Shut Up,” “Circles,” “Make the World Move,” “Light Up the Sky” and “Cease Fire” for Christina Aguilera [RCA Records].

She also collaborated with top hitmakers including Alex Da Kid (Nicki Minaj, Skylar Grey), Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford (Kelly Rowland, Teyana Taylor) and Christopher Braide (Jennifer Hudson, Britney Spears).

Kwame has hinted at a new collaboration with TLC.

The songwriter and producer is known for collaborating with artists including Algebra Blessett [eOne Music], Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records] and Jessica Mauboy [Sony Music Australia].

Some of his notable credits include “Understand” by Christina Aguilera [RCA Records], “Not the Way I Do” by Fantasia Barrino [J Records] and “No Other” by Keyshia Cole [Geffen Records].

TLC are currently working on their next studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2002’s “3D.” The still-untitled project is expected to be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

Among the tracks confirmed on the album is “Posh Life,” co-written by Stefani “Lady GaGa” Germanotta and produced by Dallas Austin.

Other album contributors include Planet VI (Kat Dahlia, Candice Glover), Makeba Riddick (Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Lopez), Young Yonny (Elijah Blake, Justin Bieber) and Candice Pillay (Tinie Tempah, Christina Aguilera).

Tinie Tempah has unwrapped the official tracklist for his upcoming album.

The British rapper – born Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu – will release “Demonstration” in the United Kingdom on November 4 via Warner Music Group / Disturbing London / Parlophone Records.

Lead single “Trampoline” – which features 2 Chainz – was produced by Thomas “Diplo” Pentz, whose recent credits include “One on One Fun” by Tamar Braxton [Epic Records] and “Pressure” by Chase & Status [Island Records].

Next single “Children of the World” – which features John Martin – is scheduled for download from October 28 via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The follow-up to 2010’s “Disc-Overy” will boast further appearances from Ella Eyre [Virgin Records], Laura Mvula [RCA Records], Candice Pillay [KIDinaKORNER], Emeli Sande [Capitol Records], Paloma Faith [Epic Records], Big Sean [Def Jam Recordings] and Ty Dolla $ign [Atlantic Records].

TLC have debuted a new song online.

“Meant to Be” is taken from the group’s upcoming compilation, “20,” out in the United States on October 15 via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The track was co-written by Ne-Yo, whose recent credits include “Own It” by Mack Wilds [Louder than Life], “Tonight” by Jessica Sanchez [Interscope Records] and “Make Love to Me” by Luke James [Mercury Records].

He also appeared on Salaam Remi’s debut album “One: In the Chamber,” available now for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Meanwhile, TLC are currently recording their fifth LP – which serves as the follow-up to 2002’s “3D” – with songwriters including Makeba Riddick (Solange Knowles, Tamar Braxton), Candice Pillay (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera) and Planet VI: Theron & Timothy Thomas (RaVaughn, Kelly Rowland).
