Cassie hits the studio with Chris N Teeb, SickPen for new collaboration

Cassie has teamed up with Chris N Teeb and SickPen for a new collaboration.

Composed of Christopher Grayson and Kateeb Muhammad, Chris N Teeb previously collaborated with Cassie on the James Fauntleroy-penned “Skydiver.” Leaked in late 2009, the track was intended for Cassie’s sophomore album under Bad Boy Entertainment / Atlantic Records.

Besides recently working with Traci Braxton on the track “Out the Box,” Chris N Teeb have also helmed tracks for Ciara (“I’m On”), Jennifer Lopez (“Hooked On You”), Tiffany Evans (“If You Love Me”), Danity Kane (“Make Me Sick”), Asia Cruise (“Rewind”), Olivia (“Walk Away”) and 50 Cent (“Complicated”).

Meanwhile, Sickpen’s songwriting resume boasts works with Claudette Ortiz (“Automatic”), K. Michelle (“Talk to God”), Mario (“Let Me Help You”), LeToya Luckett (“Disconnected”) and Toni Braxton (“Missin”).

Cassie, on the other hand, is currently working on her upcoming project under Bad Boy Entertainment / Epic Records.

Her current promotional single “Don’t Play it Safe” – which was produced by Kaytranada – is now available via all digital streaming outlets.

Cassie unleashes new promotional single “Love a Loser”

American singer/songwriter Casandra Elizabeth Ventura, known mononymously as Cassie, has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Love a Loser” – featuring G-Eazy – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Love a Loser” were collectively handled by Benjamin “Ben Billion$” Diehl (Kelly Rowland, The Weeknd) and Daniel “DannyBoyStyles” Schofield (Zara Larsson, Charlie Puth).

Cassie’s upcoming sophomore album, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year Bad Boy Entertainment and Epic Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further contributions from Kaytranada (Mary J. Blige, Craig David), Tayla Parx (Christina Aguilera, Majid Jordan), Detail (Beyonce, Jhene Aiko) and Mario Winans (Tamia, Faith Evans).

Cassie hits the studio with Taylor Parks, KAYTRANADA

American recording artist, dancer, actress and model Cassie has teamed up with Taylor Parks and KAYTRANADA for a new collaboration.

Parks, also known by her stage name Tayla Parx, is responsible for co-writing Mariah Carey’s “Infinity,” Alicia Keys’ “In Common,” Jojo’s “Fuck Apologies,” Jason Derulo’s “Love Me Down,” Meghan Trainor’s “Better,” Fifth Harmony’s “Bo$$,” Jennifer Lopez’s “So Good,” and Keyshia Cole’s “Rick James.”

She has also contributed to the next projects by Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Paloma “Delilah” Stoecker, Demi Lovato, Kesha, Fleur East, Mollie King, Stanaj, Diana Gordon, Alina Baraz, Majid Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Skip Marley, Tori Kelly, and Cameron Dallas.

Meanwhile, KAYTRANADA’s production resume boasts works with Alicia Keys (“Sweet Love”), Craig David (“Sink or Swim”), Mary J. Blige (“Telling the Truth”), Zak Abel (“Say Something”), Kali Uchis (“Rush”), Anderson Paak (“Lite Weight”) and Sinead Harnett (“Say What You Mean”).

His debut album “99.9%” – featuring guest appearances from Syd, AlunaGeorge, Vic Mensa, and Little Dragon – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Cassie, on the other hand, is expected to release her sophomore studio collection later this year via Bad Boy / Epic Records.

Her self-titled debut album, which was released in 2006 via Bad Boy Records in partnership with Ryan Leslie’s Next Selection Group and Atlantic Records, peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Me & You” and “Long Way 2 Go.”

Jhené Aiko has unleashed a new song online.

“Drinking and Driving” – produced by Dot Da Genius – is lifted from the compilation album, “Saint Heron,” out now via Sony Music / Saint Records.

The singer/songwriter recently released her new EP “Sail Out,” which was prominently helmed by Brian Warfield and Mac Robinson of songwriting and production duo Fisticuffs.

Among the rappers backing Aiko on “Sail Out” are Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Vince Staples and Ab-Soul.

In addition to Aiko, “Saint Heron” boasts further contributions from artists including Solange Knowles, India Shawn, Cassie, Iman Omari, Petite Noir, BC Kingdom, and Jade De La Fleur.

Cassie debuts music video for ‘I Know What You Want’

Cassie has debuted a new music video online.

“I Know What You Want” – produced by THC, Sounwave and Terrace Martin – is taken from the artist’s mini-album, “RockaByeBaby,” out now via Universal Music Group / Bad Boy Records / Interscope Records.

The track was co-written by James Fauntleroy, whose recent credits include “Take Back the Night” by Justin Timberlake [RCA Records] and “Hold On Longer” by John Legend [Columbia Records].

He’s also known for collaborating with the likes of Rihanna [Island Def Jam Recordings], Leona Lewis [Syco Music], Ciara [Epic Records], Beyoncé Knowles [Columbia Records] and Rita Ora [Roc Nation Records].

Meanwhile, Cassie is expected to release her upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album sometime in 2014. The highly-anticipated collection is confirmed to yield alliances with Toby Gad (Robin Thicke, Alicia Keys), Makeba Riddick (Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Lopez) and Elijah Blake (Usher, Keyshia Cole).

Cassie has debuted the music video for “Paradise.”

The Wiz Khalifa-assisted track is included on her upcoming mixtape “RockaByeBaby,” scheduled to hit the net on April 11 via Bad Boy Records.

James Fauntleroy co-wrote “Paradise” along with Marcos “Kosine” Palacios and Ernest “Tuo” Clark of hip hop and R&B production duo Da Internz.

Recent songwriting credits by Fauntleroy include “Get it Over With” by Rihanna [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and “Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records].

Cassie drafts Da Internz, James Fauntleroy for new song ‘Paradise’

Cassie has scheduled the release date for her upcoming mini-album.

The Bad Boy/Interscope recording artist will unveil “Rock-A-Bye Baby” on April 11.

“Paradise” – which features Wiz Khalifa and Cocaine 80s – is among the tracks slotted for inclusion on the highly-anticipated project.

James Fauntleroy serves as the one of the song’s co-writers. He previously teamed up with the artist on fan-favorite “Skydiver.”

Meanwhile, production duties on “Paradise” were handled by Marcos “Kosine” Palacios and Earnest “Tuo” Clark – better known as Da Internz.

In related news, no release date has been set for Cassie’s much-delayed sophomore album. The follow-up to her self-titled debut is expected to yield further collaborations with Toby Gad, Makeba Riddick, Fernando Garibay and Planet VI.
