Britney Spears schedules release date for eighth studio album

Britney Spears has scheduled the release date for her eighth studio album.

The pop starlet will release the still-untitled collection on December 3 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

New single “Work Bitch” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Britney Spears along with Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Antony Preston, Otto James, Sebastian Ingrosso and Will Adams.

The follow-up to 2011’s “Femme Fatale” is expected to yield further songwriting contributions from Jean Baptiste Kouame (Sevyn Streeter, Chris Brown), Bonnie McKee (John Newman, Adam Lambert), Sia Furler (Labrinth, Mikky Ekko) and Charli XCX (Icona Pop, Marina and the Diamonds).

On the production front, Spears has collaborated with Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis (Luke James, Frank Ocean), Shahid “Naughty Boy” Khan (Ed Sheeran, Fantasia Barrino), Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Tamar Braxton, Janet Jackson) and William Orbit (Robbie Williams, Nadine Coyle).

Britney Spears has unwrapped the details for her new single.

The pop starlet will release “Work B1tch” as the lead single from her upcoming eighth studio album, out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track – available for download from September 17 – was written by Britney Spears and Ruth-Anne Cunningham along with Otto Jettman, Will Adams, Sebastian Ingrosso and Antony Preston.

Other songwriters backing Spears on the follow-up to 2011’s “Femme Fatale” are Ester Dean (Ciara, Nicki Minaj), Sia Furler (Beyoncé, Celine Dion), Bonnie McKee (Ke$ha, Adam Lambert), Charli XCX (Icona Pop, Sky Ferreira) and Jean Baptiste Kouame (Madonna, Chris Brown).

Producers include Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald (Kelis, Miley Cyrus), Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Brandy, Whitney Houston), Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis (Sevyn Streeter, Elle Varner), Shahid “Naughty Boy” Khan (Gabrielle, Ed Sheeran) and William Orbit (Robbie Williams, Katie Melua).

Charli XCX has confirmed plans to release her new album during March 2014.

The new collection serves as the follow-up to “True Romance,” which was released earlier this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records and delivered singles including “What I Like,” “You (Ha Ha Ha),” “Take My Hand,” “You’re the One” and “Nuclear Seasons.”

Among the musicians the British singer/songwriter – born Charli Aitchison – have recently collaborated with include William Orbit (Madonna, Chris Brown), Dimitri Tikovoi (Mikky Ekko, Sophie Ellis Bextor), Greg Kurstin (Sky Ferreira, Beyoncè Knowles) and Starsmith (Cheryl Cole, Ellie Goulding).

She also wrote a song for Britney Spears’ upcoming eighth studio album, out later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Britney Spears has added Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande to the list of songwriters for her upcoming as-yet-untitled eighth studio album, out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Sande is known for co-writing tracks including “Trouble” by Leona Lewis [Sony Music Entertainment / Syco Music], “Brand New Me” by Alicia Keys [RCA Records] and “Half of Me” by Rihanna [Island Def Jam Recordings].

She also contributed to the next albums by Katy Perry [Capitol Records], James Arthur [Syco Music], Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor Records], A*M*E [Epic Records] and Ella Henderson [Syco Music].

Icona Pop have revealed the official tracklisting for their upcoming album.

The Swedish duo – consisting of members Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo – will release “This Is…” in the United Kingdom on October 7 via Warner Music Group / Big Beat Records / Atlantic Records.

The set will feature new single “All Night” as well as breakout hit “I Love It,” which peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

The Swedish DJ duo will release “Just Another Night” as the next promotional single from their upcoming debut international album, out soon via Warner Music Group / Big Beat Records / Atlantic Records.

Production on the still-untitled project is headed by Dimitri Tikovoi, who previously teamed up with the artist – real name Charli Aitchison – on the Ariel Rechtshaid-assisted “Set Me Free.”

His other credits include “If I Can’t Dance” by Sophie Ellis Bextor [Fascination Records] and “Beat of My Drum” by Nicola Roberts [Polydor Records].
