Taya enlists Frances, The Electric for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Taylor Fowlis, known mononymously as Taya, has drafted Frances and The Electric for a new collaboration.

Having released her debut album “Things I’ve Never Said” earlier this year via Method Records and Captiol Records; Frances (born Sophie Cooke) has also penned songs on the next projects by fellow recording artists Meghan Trainor, Jess Glynne, Ella Henderson, Liv Dawson, and Kara Marni.

Meanwhile, The Electric (composed of Edvard Erfjord and Henrik Michelsen) are responsible for producing Little Mix’s “Is Your Love Enough?,” Fifth Harmony’s “Don’t Say You Love Me,” Machine Gun Kelly’s “At My Best,” Fleur East’s “Sax,” Olly Murs’s “Love You More,” and M.O’s “Not in Love.”

Taya’s next project – boasting further productions and songwriting contributions from Alan Sampson, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Lostboy, Chiara Hunter, Evan “Kidd” Bogart, Dayo Olatunji, Ollie Green, Lauren Aquilina, and Tre Jean-Marie – is expected to arrive early next year via Atlantic Records.

Her self-titled mini-album – featuring promotional singles “When Ur Sober,” “Got Me Wondering” and “Deeper” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Hannah Jane Lewis hits the studio with Future Cut

Hannah Jane Lewis has teamed up with Future Cut for a new collaboration.

The British production and songwriting duo (composed of Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola) are known for their works with Lily Allen (“Smile”), Shakira (“Gypsy”), Laura Izibor (“Shine”), Foxes (“Let Go for Tonight”), Ella Eyre (“Forever”), Whinnie Williams (“Too Strong”) and Stooshe (“Black Heart”).

Future Cut have also worked with songwriters including Andrea Martin, James Fauntleroy, Nina Woodford, Ed Drewett, Amy Wadge, Claude Kelly, Joanna “Jo” Perry, Ian Dench, Amanda Ghost, Wayne Hector, Lindy Robbins, Justin Tranter, Chelcee Grimes, Iain James, Kara DioGuardi, and Sam Romans.

Meanwhile, Lewis’s upcoming debut project – featuring current promotional single “Raincheck” – is expected to arrive next year via Hot Hot Records in partnership with Polydor Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further productions from Lostboy (Maverick Sabre), Jordan Riley (Ray BLK), Dimitri Tikovoi (Mikky Ekko), Phil Cook (Jasmine Thompson), Bastian Langebaek (Jack Garratt), Sky Adams (Kylie Minogue), KIN (Calum Scott) and Mac & Phil (Leona Lewis).

On the songwriting front, Lewis has worked with Hannah Wilson (Fleur East), Karen Poole (Becky Hill), Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa), Anita Blay (Little Mix), Lauren Aquilina (Imani Williams), Chiara Hunter (Paloma Faith), Max McElligott (Rita Ora) and Tom Aspaul (AlunaGeorge).

Alma delivers new promotional single “Phases”

Finnish singer and songwriter Alma-Sofia Miettinen, professionally known as Alma, has released her new promotional single online.

“Phases” – which was collectively produced by Charlie Handsome alongside Stylaz Fuego and Rex Kudo – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was also co-written by Charlotte “Charli XCX” Aitchison (Raye, Camila Cabello), Alexandra “Sasha Sloan” Yatchenko (Lecrae, Tori Kelly) and Jonnali “Noonie Bao” Parmenius (Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen).

Alma’s upcoming debut studio collection – featuring previous single “Chasing Highs” – is expected to arrive later this year via PME Records in partnership with Polydor Records (UK) and Island Records (US).

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further songwriting contributions from Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani), Chiara Hunter (Paloma Faith), Trey Campbell (Ella Henderson), Dayo Olatunji (Fifth Harmony), Jesse Saint John (Nick Jonas) and Asia Whiteacre (Hailee Steinfeld).

MAAD enlists Hannah Yadi, Lostboy for new single “Wonderland”

American singer, songwriter, model, and DJ Natasha Jihane Ferguson, known mononymously as MAAD, has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Wonderland” – featuring Jimi Tents – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by MAAD alongside fellow recording artist Hannah Yadi, whose songwriting resume boasts further works with Tara Carosielli (“Leave You Lonely”), Frank Gamble (“J’adore”), Maxine Ashley (“Run from Reason”) and Zac Samuel (“Losing You”).

Production duties on “Wonderland” were handled by Lostboy (real name Peter Rycroft), who is also responsible for Gabrielle Aplin’s “Waking Up Slow,” Sarah Close’s “Call Me Out,” Lauren Faith’s “Let Them Talk,” Caitlyn Scarlett’s “Hell for a Honeymoon,” and Skinny Living’s “Why.”

On the follow-up to “Le Funk,” which was released earlier this year, MAAD has also worked with songwriters and producers including Fred Ball (Rihanna, Alicia Keys), Trey Campbell (Kiana Lede, Ella Henderson), GRADES (Raleigh Ritchie, Jessie Ware) and Chiara Hunter (Fleur East, Imani Williams).

Mollie King reunites with Xenomania’s Brian Higgins for new single “Hair Down”

Mollie King has announced the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Hair Down” as the second promotional cut from her upcoming debut album and will release it on September 1st via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written and produced by Brian Higgins of Xenomania, who previously teamed up with King as part of The Saturdays on “All Fired Up,” which peaked to number three on the UK Singles Chart.

Some of his other notable credits include Girls Aloud’s “Something New,” Alesha Dixon’s “The Boy Does Nothing,” Sugababes’ “Red Dress,” Melanie Blatt’s “Do Me Wrong,” Little Mix’s “Pretend It’s Okay,” Kylie Minogue’s “Giving You Up,” and Rebecca Ferguson’s “Mr. Bright Eyes.”

King’s first studio collection, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records UK.

Antigoni Buxton has teased a new collaboration with Nicola Roberts.

“Sick day at the studio yesterday with the lovely @lilcola & Henry Binns,” the British singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Tuesday (July 18, 2017).

Roberts’ songwriting resume boasts works with Girls Aloud (“On the Metro”), Cheryl (“Goodbye Means Hello”), Little Mix (“Going Nowhere”), Tiffany (“Talk”), Joel Compass (“Girlfriends”), Taya (“Redlight”), Nina Nesbitt (“Take You to Heaven”) and Tinashe (“Ghetto Boy”).

The former Girls Aloud member has also worked with top producers including Richard “Biff” Stannard, Electric, Devonte Hynes, GRADES, Lucas Secon, MNEK, Fred Ball, Knightstarr, Scott Hoffman, Diztortion, James Draper, Moon Willis, Adriano Buffone, and Dimitri Tikovoi.
