Christina Perri hits the studio with Sam Hollander, Kevin Griffin

Singer and songwriter Christina Perri has recently recorded new material with hitmakers Sam Hollander and Kevin Griffin.

It is yet to be known whether the session was intended for another artist or Perri’s upcoming third studio collection under Atlantic Records.

Hollander’s songwriting resume includes works for One Direction (“Rock Me”), Katy Perry (“If You Can Afford Me”), Olly Murs (“Beautiful to Me”), Daughtry (“Waiting for Superman”) and Alex & Sierra (“Almost Home”).

Meanwhile, Griffin is responsible for co-writing James Blunt’s “I’ll Be Your Man” [Atlantic Records], Howie Day’s “Collide” [Epic Records], Missy Higgins’ “Scar” [Eleven] and David Cook’s “Avalanche” [RCA Records].

Perri’s last album, 2014’s “Head or Heart,” peaked to number four on the US Albums Chart and spawned hit singles “Human” and “Burning Gold.”

That collection also featured collaborations with Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Hilary Duff), Kid Harpoon (Shakira, Florence Welch), John Hill (Rihanna, Charli XCX) and Martin Johnson (Jason Derulo, Taylor Swift).

On the songwriting front, Perri wrote “Empty Handed” for Lea Michele along with the song’s producers David Hodges and John Shanks. The track appears on Michele’s debut album, “Louder,” out now via Columbia Records.

Jim Eliot hints at new collaboration with Emeli Sande

Jim Eliot has hinted at a new collaboration with Emeli Sande.

“Here goes 2015 with @emelisande in the studio” the British record producer and songwriter tweeted on Saturday (January 3, 2015).

Eliot is known co-writing and producing Kylie Minogue’s “All the Lovers” [Parlophone Records], Olly Murs’ “Heart Skips a Beat” [Epic Records] and Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Could Happen” [Polydor Records].

His resume also includes works for Leona Lewis [Island Records], Maiday [Interscope Records], Christina Perri [Atlantic Records], Mikky Ekko [RCA Records] and Jetta [Polydor Records].

Meanwhile, Sande is currently working on her upcoming sophomore studio album under Capitol Records [US] and Virgin EMI Records [UK].

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Our Version of Events,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart.

For the hotly-anticipated LP, Sande has teamed with Naughty Boy (Miguel, Elle Varner), Chris Loco (Ella Eyre, Becky Hill), Jonny Coffer (Sam Smith, Gorgon City), Syience (Beyonce, Melanie Fiona) and Mojam (Sinead Harnett, Jess Glynne).

Christina Aguilera drafts David Hodges for new album?

Christina Aguilera has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“Waves” was written by Maggie Chapman and Meghan Kabir along with David Hodges, whose credits include Colbie Caillat (“Never Getting Over You”), Lea Michele (“Empty Handed”) and Christina Perri (“The Words”).

The track is expected to appear on Aguilera’s highly-anticipated eighth album, which will be released next year via RCA Records.

Her last studio collection, 2012’s “Lotus,” debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered international hit single “Your Body.”

Hilary Duff has enlisted Hannah Lux Davis for her new music video.

The pop artist christened “All About You” as the second promotional single from her upcoming studio album on RCA Records.

Davis is known for helming video clips such as “2 On” by Tinashe f/ Schoolboy Q [RCA Records], “On My Way” by Lea Michele [Columbia Records] and “Bang Bang” by Jessie J f/ Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj [Republic Records].

As previously reported, “All About You” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Savan Kotecha along with Kristian Lundin and Carl Falk.

The still-untitled new album by Duff serves as the follow-up to 2007’s “Dignity,” which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Among the tracks slotted for inclusion on the highly-anticipated LP are the Ed Sheeran-penned “Tattoo” and Toby Gad-produced “If I Fall.”

Other songwriters and producers backing the “So Yesterday” star on the album are Jake Gosling (Christina Perri, Nina Nesbitt), Wayne Hector (Olly Murs, Eliza Doolittle) and Lindy Robbins (Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez).

“Say You Love Me” marks the second promotional single from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album, “Tough Love,” out on October 6 via PMR Records / Island Records.

The track was co-written by Ed Sheeran, who also worked with artists including Hilary Duff [RCA Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records], Christina Perri [Atlantic Records] and Taylor Swift [Big Machine Records].

Production duties were handled by Benny Blanco and Two Inch Punch, whose credits include Sam Smith’s “Money on My Mind” [Capitol Records] and Becky Hill’s “Caution to the Wind” [Parlophone Records].

“Tough Love” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Devotion,” which debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart.

Charli XCX has teamed up with John Hill for her upcoming studio album.

Hill is known for co-writing and producing Shakira’s “Can’t Remember to Forget You” [RCA Records], Rihanna’s “You Da One” [Def Jam Recordings] and Christina Perri’s “Burning Gold” [Atlantic Records].

His extensive resume also includes works for Santigold [Atlantic Records], Rita Ora [Columbia Records], Natasha Bedingfield [Epic Records], Christina Aguilera [RCA Records] and Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated new album by Charli XCX – born Charlotte Aitchison – is scheduled for release later this year via Atlantic Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “True Romance,” which featured hit singles “Nuclear Seasons,” “You’re the One” and “Stay Away.”

The British singer/songwriter – born Jetta John Hartley – is scheduled to release “Crescendo” in the United Kingdom on July 1 via Polydor Records.

New single “Crescendo” was produced by Pharrell Williams, whose credits include Beyonce’s “Blow” [Columbia Records], Kylie Minogue’s “I Was Gonna Cancel” [Parlophone Records] and Ed Sheeran’s “Sing” [Atlantic Records].

The set also features includes productions from Jim Eliot, whose resume includes works for Olly Murs (“Heart Skips a Beat”), Christina Perri (“Sea of Lovers”) and Ellie Goulding (“Anything Could Happen”).
