Yuna reveals tracklisting for new international album “Chapters”

Yuna has revealed the tracklisting for her upcoming international album.

The Malaysian singer/songwriter will release “Chapters” – featuring the DJ Premier-produced “Places to Go” – on May 20 through Verve Records.

Current single “Crush” – featuring vocals from R&B crooner Usher – is now available for download via iTunes and all other online outlets.

Brian Warfield and Mac Robinson of Fisticuffs serve as executive producers on “Chapters.” The duo’s resume includes works with Mariah Carey (“#Beautiful”), Jhene Aiko (“The Worst”) and Miguel (“Quickie”).

Yuna announces new international album “Chapters”

Yuna has announced the details for her upcoming international album.

The Malaysian singer-songwriter christened her next studio collection “Chapters” and will release it on May 20 via Verve Records.

Lead single “Places to Go” was produced by DJ Premier, whose other credits include Mack Wilds’ “Keepin’ it Real” [Larger Than Life], Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man” [RCA] and Dr. Dre’s “Animals” [Interscope].

“Chapters” – featuring further productions from Brian Warfield and Mac Robinson of the Fisticuffs – serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Nocturnal,” which peaked to number 27 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart.

Miguel unleashes music video for new single “Coffee”

Miguel has unleashed the music video for his new single online.

The R&B singer, songwriter and record producer posted the visual clip for “Coffee” to his Vevo channel on Tuesday (June 16, 2015).

“Coffee” – which was written and produced by Miguel – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

The track also appears on Miguel’s upcoming third album, “Wildheart,” out on June 30 via ByStorm Entertainment and RCA Records.

Album producers include Benny Blanco (Ryn Weaver, Charli XCX), Cashmere Cat (Tinashe, Ariana Grande), Salaam Remi (Usher, Amy Winehouse) and DJ Premier (Christina Aguilera, Mack Wilds).

Miguel’s last studio collection, 2012’s “Kaleidoscope Dream,” peaked to number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart an spawned three hit singles in the shape of “Adorn,” “Do You…” and “How Many Drinks?”

Mack Wilds releases “Don’t Turn Me Down” music video

Mack Wilds has released the music video for his new single online.

“Don’t Turn Me Down” is lifted from the R&B singer/songwriter’s debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” out now via Larger Than Life Records.

The track was co-written by Rico Love, whose credits include Melanie Fiona’s “4 AM” [Republic Records], Sean Paul’s “Body” [Atlantic Records] and Brandy’s “Hardly Breathing” [Chameleon Entertainment / RCA Records].

Production duties were handled by Salaam Remi, who is also responsible for Jazmine Sullivan’s “Dumb” [RCA Records], Liam Bailey’s “On My Mind” [Flying Buddha Records] and James Arthur’s “New Tattoo” [Syco Music].

“New York: A Love Story” – which was Grammy Nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album – also features singles “My Crib” and “Own It.”

Other album contributors include James Fauntleroy (Usher, Leona Lewis), Roosevelt “Bink” Harrell (Mario, John Legend), DJ Premier (Christina Aguilera, Laura Izibor) and James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Mariah Carey).

Yuna premieres “Come Back” music video

Yuna has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Come Back” is lifted from the Malaysian singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Nocturnal,” out now via Universal Recordings imprint Verve Music Group.

The track was produced by Chris Braide, whose recent credits include Sia’s “Big Girls Cry” [Monkey Puzzle Records], Paloma Faith’s “Impossible Heart” [RCA Records] and Lea Michele’s “You’re Mine” [Columbia Records].

Yuna is currently recording her next studio album, which is expected to be released either later this year or early 2015.

Among the hitmakers backing the “Lullabies” star on the highly-anticipated project are Angela Hunte (Elle Varner, Sevyn Streeter), DJ Premier (Mack Wilds, Laura Izibor) and Just Blaze (Mariah Carey, LeToya Luckett).

Mack Wilds has dropped the music video for his new single online.

“My Crib” marks the fourth promotional single from the singer/songwriter’s debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” out now via Larger than Life Records.

The track was produced by Salaam Remi along with Roosevelt “Bink” Harrell, whose credits include John Legend’s “Who Do We Think We Are” [Columbia Records] and Mario’s “Fatal Distraction” [RCA Records].

“New York: A Love Story” boasts further productions from James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Mariah Carey), Rico Love (Usher, Kelly Rowland), DJ Premier (Kanye West, Christina Aguilera) and Ne-Yo (Rihanna, Lionel Richie).

Meanwhile, fans of Salaam Remi’s production work should look out for the next albums by Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Liam Bailey [Flying Buddha Records], Ella Henderson [Syco Music] and Kat Dahlia [Epic Records].

AlunaGeorge enlist Diplo for sophomore album

Best Be Believing

AlunaGeorge have enlisted Diplo for their upcoming sophomore album.

The hit songwriter and record producer – born Thomas Wesley Pentz – previously collaborated with artists including Madonna [Interscope Records], Britney Spears [RCA Records], and Katy Perry [Capitol Records].

Some of his notable credits include Tamar Braxton’s “One on One Fun” [Epic Records], MØ’s “XXX 88” [RCA Records], Brooke Candy’s “Opulence” [Monkey Puzzle Records] and Tinie Tempah’s “Trampoline” [Parlophone Records].

Meanwhile, the new LP by AlunaGeorge – consisting of members Aluna Francis and George Reid – will be released later this year via Island Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Body Music,” which debuted at number eleven on the UK Albums and featured hit singles “You Know You Like It,” “Your Drums, Your Love,” “Attracting Flies” and “Best Be Believing.”

Other producers on the still-untitled project are Dallas Austin (Janet Jackson, Macy Gray) and Christopher “DJ Premier” Martin (Mack Wilds, Kanye West).

Yasmin hits the studio with DJ Premier

British singer/songwriter Yasmin has recently recorded new material with legendary hip hop producer DJ Premier.

The results of this collaboration are expected to appear on Yasmin’s upcoming debut album with Levels Entertainment / Ministry of Sound.

DJ Premier – born Christopher Martin – has previously teamed up with the likes of Jay-Z [Roc-A-Fella Records], Kanye West [Def Jam Recordings], The Game [Interscope Records] and Nas [Def Jam Recordings].

Some of his notable credits include “Keeping It Real” by Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records], “Ain’t No Other Man” by Christina Aguilera [RCA Records] and “From My Heart to Yours” by Laura Izibor [Atlantic Records].

Meanwhile, Yasmin recently featured on the track “You’re No Good” along with Danielle Haim, Santigold and Vybz Kartel, taken from Major Lazer’s latest album, “Free the Universe,” out now via Mad Decent Records.

Her highly-anticipated LP is said to feature further collaborations with Future Cut: Darren Lewis & Tunde Babalola (Nicole Scherzinger, Bruno Mars), Shy FX (Liam Bailey, Ms. Dynamite) and Labrinth (Rihanna, Emeli Sande).
