Calum Scott releases debut album “Only Human”

British singer/songwriter Calum Scott has released his debut album online.

“Only Human” – featuring singles “Dancing on My Own,” “Rhythm Inside” and “You Are the Reason” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The album was prominently produced by Fraser T. Smith, whose credits also include Craig David’s “I Know You,” Raye’s “Decline,” Stormzy’s “Blinded By Your Grace,” Tom Grennan’s “Sober,” Dakota’s “Long Hot Summer,” Sam Smith’s “Not in That Way,” and Grace’s “Boyfriend Jeans.”

Other musicians backing Scott on “Only Human” are Warren “Oak” Felder, Sean Douglas, Talay Riley, Kane “KIN” Parfitt, Jayson DeZuzio, Hayley Warner, Plested, Jon Maguire, Corey Sanders, Jordan Riley, Kasper Larsen, Cutfather, Phil Cook, Jamie Scott, Oscar “OzGo” Gorres, and Ross Golan.

Mabel hits the studio with Corey Sanders, Jonny Coffer

Swedish singer/songwriter Mabel McVey, known mononymously as Mabel, has teamed up with Corey Sanders and Jonny Coffer for a new collaboration.

Sanders recently co-wrote “You are the Reason” for British recording artist Calum Scott alongside regular collaborator Jon Maguire. The Fraser T. Smith-produced track appears on Scott’s upcoming debut album “Only Human,” which will arrive on March 9th via Capitol Records.

Meanwhile, Coffer’s songwriting/production resume boasts works with Beyonce (“Freedom”), Emeli Sande (“Shakes”), Rag’n’Bone Man (“Skin”), Jess Glynne (“No Rights, No Wrongs”), James Arthur (“Get Down”), Weezer (“Feels Like Summer”) and Fall Out Boy (“Hold Me Tight or Don’t”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Mabel’s upcoming project – featuring the Marlon Roudette-assisted / JD Reid-produced “Fine Line” – is expected to arrive later this year via Polydor Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further contributions from TMS, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Fraser T. Smith, Rachel “Raye” Keen, Tre Jean-Marie, Negin Djafari, MNEK, Jordan Riley, Lostboy, and The Electric.

Lilly Ahlberg releases new promotional single “Bad Boys”

Swedish/British singer-songwriter Lilly Ahlberg has released her new promotional single online.

“Bad Boys” – which was written by Ahlberg alongside Anita Blay, Matt “HUMN” Newman and Jonny Hockings – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Bad Boys” were handled by Hockings alongside HUMN and Future Cut, who are also responsible for Maxine Ashley’s “Happy,” Whinnie Williams’ “What About Me,” Matt Terry’s “Heartless,” Bakar’s “Small Town Girl,” and Alex Adair’s “Casual.”

Ahlberg’s debut project – featuring further contributions from Jim Eliot, Corey Sanders, Rachel Furner, Danny Shah, Sam Merrifield, Hannah Wilson, Michael Angelo, Will Simms, Zena Kitt, Andreas Soederlund, and Knightstarr – is expected to arrive later this year via Hot Hot Records / Polydor Records.

Calum Scott has announced the details for his new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “You Are the Reason” as the next promotional cut from his upcoming debut album under Capitol Records.

The track – which was written by Scott alongside Jon Maguire and Corey Sanders – will arrive on November 17 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Scott’s debut project reportedly boasts further songwriting contributions from Kamille, Sam Romans, Hayley Warner, Ross Golan, Maureen “MoZella” McDonald, BullySongs, Grace Tither, Max McElligott, Hannah Wilson, Philip Plested, Audra Mae, Sean Douglas, Grace Barker, and Iain James.

Liza Owen reunites with Robopop for new collaboration

Liza Owen has reunited with Robopop for a new collaboration.

The pair previously teamed up on the Ali Tamposi-assisted “Don’t Call Me Baby,” which is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Born Daniel Thomas Omelio; Robopop’s songwriting and production resume boasts further works with Lana Del Rey (“Video Games”), Prince Royce (“Stuck on a Feeling”), Maroon 5 (“Payphone”), Little Mix (“Power”), Jojo (“When Love Hurts”), Marina Diamandis (“How to be a Heartbreaker”), James Blunt (“When I Find Love Again”) and Hey Violet (“Hoodie”).

Having signed a publishing deal with Universal Music’s Lava Records, Owen is expected to release her debut project – featuring the Skyler Stonestreet-penned/Goldfingers-produced “Better with Me” – later this year.

Ella Henderson has collaborated with Danny Parker for her second album.

The American songwriter is known for co-penning Louisa Johnson’s “Best Behaviour,” Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches,” Britney Spears’ “Liar,” James Blunt’s “Heart to Heart,” Birdy’s “Save Yourself,” and Nick Jonas’ “Chains.”

Parker’s resume boasts further works with fellow songwriters and producers including Jason Evigan, Ross Golan, Shungudzo Kuyimba, Patrik Patrikious, Ilsey Juber, Teddy Geigher, Steph Jones, Breyan Isaac, Emily Warren, Ammar Malik, Daniel “Daylight” Kyriakides, Clarence Coffee Jr., Warren “Oak” Felder, Jonas Jeberg, Nick Ruth, Daniel “Robopop” Omelio, and TMS.

Meanwhile, Henderson is scheduled release her sophomore studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Chapter One,” later this year via Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.
