Sevyn Streeter shares “Love in Competition” acoustic performance

Sevyn Streeter has shared a new live performance video online.

The singer/songwriter posted the acoustic rendition for “Love in Competition” to her YouTube channel on Tuesday (January 05, 2016).

“Love in Competition” was co-written by J-Doe, whose other credits include Jennifer Lopez’s “Acting Like That” [Capitol], Ariana Grande’s “Right There” [Republic], and Kelly Rowland’s “Keep it Between Us” [Motown].

Production duties on the original version were handled by Da Internz, who are also behind Tamar Braxton’s “If I Don’t Have You” [Epic], John Legend’s “Made to Love” [Columbia], and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Cash Money].

Streeter’s latest mini-collection “Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

Other EP contributors include Dem Jointz (Dr. Dre), Candice Pillay (Rihanna), Hit-Boy (Beyonce), Micah Powell (Tank), B.A.M. (K. Michelle), Count Justice (Chris Brown), Tiffany Fred (Zendaya), and Mansur Zafr (Ashanti).

Alesha Dixon confirms new album “Do It for Love”

Alesha Dixon has confirmed the title for her upcoming fourth album.

The British singer/songwriter christened her next collection “Do It for Love” and will release it on October 09 through Precious Stone Records.

Current single “The Way We Are” – which was written by Dixon along with Alex James and Harry Sommerdahl – is now available for download via iTunes.

Other CD contributors are Future Cut (Rihanna, Olly Murs), Shaznay Lewis (Little Mix, Fleur East) and Count Justice (Sevyn Streeter, Chris Brown).

Dixon’s last studio collection, 2010’s “The Entertainer,” peaked to number sixteen on the UK R&B Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including the Shama Joseph-produced “Drummer Boy” and Emeli Sande-assisted “Radio.”

Sevyn Streeter has unveiled the track list for her upcoming EP.

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Shoulda Been There – Part 1” on July 17 through iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Shoulda Been There” was produced by B.A.M. (K. Michelle, Chris Brown) and Count Justice (Wiz Khalifa, Alesha Dixon).

Other producers backing Streeter on the EP are Mansur Zafr (Ashanti, Keri Hilson), Dem Jointz (Marsha Ambrosius, Janet Jackson), Hit-Boy (Ciara, Selena Gomez) and Cameron Wallace (Beyonce, Christina Milian).

On the songwriting front, Sevyn has teamed up with J-Doe (Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez), Candice Pillay (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera), Michah Powell (Omarion, Chris Brown) and Tiffany Fred (Zendaya, Tamar Braxton).

Sevyn Streeter has shared the lyric video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the lyrical clip for “Shoulda Been There” – featuring B.O.B – to her YouTube channel on Monday (July 13, 2015).

Production duties on “Shoulda Been There” were handled by B.A.M. (Chris Brown, Kandace Springs) and Count Justice (Wiz Khalifa, Alesha Dixon).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Sevyn’s upcoming EP “Shoulda Been There (Part 1)” will hit digital outlets on July 17 through Atlantic Records.

The highly-anticipated project features previous single “Don’t Kill the Fun” (featuring Chris Brown) along with new cuts “Consistent,” “Love in Competition,” “Just Being Honest” and “Boomerang” (featuring Hit-Boy).

Sevyn’s debut mini-collection, 2013’s “Call Me Crazy, But…,” peaked to number five on the US Billboard R&B Albums Chart and delivered hit singles including “It Won’t Stop,” “nEXt” and “Sex on the Ceiling.”

On the songwriting front, Sevyn has penned songs for K. Michelle [Atlantic Records], Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Tamar Braxton [Epic Records], Ariana Grande [Republic Records] and Jordin Sparks [Louder Than Life Records].

Chris Brown releases “Don’t Be Gone Too Long” music video

Chris Brown has released a new music video online.

“Don’t Be Gone Too Long” – which features Ariana Grande – is taken from the R&B singer/songwriter’s upcoming sixth album, “X,” out on September 16 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track was written by Chris Brown along with Cathy Dennis, Jean Baptiste Kouame, Michael McHenry, Ryan “DJ Replay” Buendia, Kyle Edwards, Scott “BabyDaddy” Hoffman, and Clarence Coffee Jr.

“X” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Fortune,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “Don’t Judge Me” and “Turn Up the Music” and “Don’t Wake Me Up.”

The highly-anticipated LP boasts further contributions from RoccStar, Danja, Count Justice, Sevyn Streeter, Diplo, Verse Simmonds, Darhyl Camper, Eric Bellinger, Tommy Brown, Lauren Christy, and Victoria Monet.

Sevyn Streeter hints at new collaboration with Polow Da Don

Sevyn Streeter has hinted at a new collaboration with Polow Da Don.

The hitmaker – born Jamal Jones – recently helmed “Anaconda” for Nicki Minaj along with Marcos “Kosine” Palacios and Ernest “Tuo” Clark of Da Internz.

He is also responsible for co-writing and producing “London Bridge” by Fergie [Interscope Records], “Promise” by Ciara [Jive Records], “Someone Else” by Mario [RCA Records] and “Like This” by Kelly Rowland [Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, the first studio collection by Streeter is expected to is be released later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013 EP “Call Me Crazy, But…,” which debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and featured singles “It Won’t Stop” and “Sex on the Ceiling.”

For the highly-anticipated LP, Sevyn has also teamed up with Babyface , Eric Bellinger, Count Justice, Verse Simmonds, and Dem Jointz.
