Craig David reunites with Mojam Music for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Craig David has reunited Mustafa Omer and James Murray of Mojam Music for a new collaboration.

The songwriting and production duo previously teamed up with David on “Talking About,” performed by fellow UK recording artist Conor Maynard. Peaking to number fourty-four on the UK Singles Chart, the track was also co-written alongside Jonathan “Jonny” Coffer and Hanni “Youthonix” Ibrahim.

Other notable credits by Mojam Music include Emeli Sande’s “Hurts,” Naughty Boy’s “La La La,” Sinead Harnett’s “Do it Anyway,” James Arthur’s “Get Down,” Cheryl’s “Boys,” Jess Glynne’s “I Cry When I Laugh,” Gorgon City’s “Imagination,” One Direction’s “Na Na Na,” Leona Lewis’s “Mountains,” Sam Smith’s “Like I Can,” and Mutya Keisha Siobhan’s “Too in Love.”

Their extensive resume boasts additional works with songwriters Andrew Jackson, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, JHart, Emily Warren, Wayne Hector, Lolene Everett, Scott Harris, Viktoria Hansen, Jarred Cotter, Maiday, Ben Harrison, Maegan Cottone, Patrick Patrikious, Jin Jin, Iain James, Fiona Bevan, James Fauntleroy, Niara Scarlett, Eric Dawkins, Jem Cooke, BullySongs, Emily Phillips, Jimmy Napes, and Sam Romans.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts further songwriting contributions from Negin Djafari (Fifth Harmony), Eyelar (Tinashe), Caroline Ailin (Imani Williams), Talay Riley (Usher), Ed Drewett (Britney Spears), Sam Dew (Zayn Malik), Claude Kelly (Olly Murs) and Max McElligott (Kygo).

Among the producers David has worked with so far are Steve Robson (James Blunt), Tre Jean-Marie (Mabel), Diztortion (Sean Paul), Nineteen85 (PartyNextDoor), MNEK (Beyonce), Dave Tozer (Ella Eyre), Fraser T. Smith (Adele), TMS (Louisa Johnson) and Daecolm (Elijah Blake).

Craig David has teased a new collaboration with Claude Kelly and Steve Robson.

“Amazing day in the studio with Steve Robson & @claudekelly,” the British singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Tuesday (May 30, 2017).

Kelly and Robson have collectively written and produced songs for Olly Murs (“Back Around”), Ella Henderson (“Giants”), James Arthur (“Is This Love?”), Christina Aguilera (“Just a Fool”), James Morrison (“Right By Your Side”) and One Direction (“Why Don’t We Go There?”).

Meanwhile, David is expected to release his next studio collection, which serves as the follow-up to 2016’s “Following My Intuition,” later this year via Sony Music Entertainment UK in partnership with Speakerbox / Insanity Records.

Craig David has worked with Negin Djafari for his upcoming album.

The Swedish singer/songwriter recently co-wrote James Arthur’s “Can I Be Him,” Snakehips’ “Don’t Leave,” Fifth Harmony’s “Not That Kinda Girl” and Rebecca Ferguson’s “Superwoman,” in addition to providing guest vocals on Wilkinson’s “Faded” and Wolfgang Gartner’s “Looking for You.”

Djafari has also contributed to the next projects by Liza Owen, Kyla Smith, Nina Nesbitt, Folly Rae, Imani Williams, L Devine, Jess Kent, Karen Harding, Louisa Johnson, Antigoni Buxton, Mabel McVey, KStewart, Bobii Lewis, and M.O.

Craig David has reunited with Ed Drewett for his upcoming album.

The British singer/songwriter previously co-wrote “Couldn’t Be Mine” for David alongside the song’s producer Tre Jean-Marie. The track appears on 2016’s “Following My Intuition,” which topped the UK Albums Chart.

Drewett’s songwriting resume boasts further works with One Direction (“Best Song Ever”), Little Mix (“Black Magic”), The Vamps (“Cheater”), Olly Murs (“Dear Darling”), Fleur East (“Gold Watch”), Stooshe (“Kiss Chase”), Sinead Harnett (“Do it Anyway”), Ben Haenow (“Greatest Mistake”), SG Lewis (“All Night”), Madeon (“OK”) and The Wanted (“Glad You Came”).

In addition Jean-Marie, Drewett has also collaborated with top producers including Future Cut, Steve Mac, TMS, Richard “Biff” Stannard, Ash Howes, Two Inch Punch, Fred Ball, Mojam Music, Julian Bunetta, Red Triangle, Fraser T.
