The Weeknd releases new album “Starboy”

The Weeknd has released his third studio collection online.

“Starboy” – featuring singles “False Alarm,” “Party Monster” and “I Feel it Coming” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2014’s “Beauty Behind the Madness” reunites The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – with Doc McKinney, Cirkut, Ben Billions, Belly, DaHeala, Lana Del Rey, Savan Kotecha, Ali Payami, Peter Svensson, Max Martin, Labrinth, Cashmere Cat, Benny Blanco, and Diplo.

Other album contributors include Billy Walsh, Dan Wilson, Frank Dukes, Jake One, Emmanuel Nickerson, Dylan Wiggins, Metro Boomin, Prince 85, Sir Dylan, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Daft Punk.

The Weeknd announces details for new single “False Alarm”

The Weeknd has announced the details for his new single online.

The Canadian singer-songwriter christened “False Alarm” as the second promotional cut from his upcoming third album “Starboy” and will release it on September 30 via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Starboy” – featuring productions from Daft Punk, Doc McKinney and Cirkut – is scheduled to arrive on November 25 via XO in partnership with Republic Records.

The keenly-awaited project follows 2015’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” which debuted topped the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “In the Night” and “The Hills.”

On the songwriting front, The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – co-penned tracks for fellow recording artists including Drake (“Crew Love”), Ariana Grande (“Love Me Harder”), Disclosure (“Nocturnal”), Rihanna (“Woo”), Wiz Khalifa (“Remember You”) and Beyonce (“6 Inch”).

The Weeknd has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The Canadian singer-songwriter posted the Grant Singer-directed clip for “Starboy” to his Vevo channel on Wednesday (September 28, 2016).

Production duties on “Starboy” were handled by French electronic music duo Daft Punk alongside Doc McKinney and Cirkut.

The track also marks the first promotional cut from The Weeknd’s upcoming album, “Starboy,” which will arrive on November 25 via XO / Republic Records.

The Weeknd’s previous studio collection, 2015’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Can’t Feel My Face,” “In the Night” and “The Hills.”

Pharrell Williams unveils “Gust of Wind” music video

harrell Williams has debuted the music video for his new single online.

The singer, songwriter and record producer posted the Edgar Wright-directed clip for “Gust of Wind” to his official Vevo page on Tuesday (October 07, 2014).

“Gust of Wind” – featuring Daft Punk – is lifted from Pharrell’s second studio collection, “G I R L,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

“G I R L” boasts further guest appearances from Justin Timberlake [RCA Records], Timbaland [Interscope Records], Jojo [Atlantic Records], Leah LaBelle [Epic Records] and Miley Cyrus [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, fans of Pharrell’s production work should look out for the next releases by Gwen Stefani [Interscope Records], Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Maxine Ashley [Polydor Records].

Rudimental hit the studio with Nile Rodgers

Rudimental have recently recorded new material with Nile Rodgers.

The legendary musician, producer, composer, arranger, and guitarist has teamed up with the likes of Daft Punk [Columbia Records], Avicii [Island Records] and Disclosure [PMR Records] over the last couple of years.

Some of his notable songwriting and production credits include “Upside Down” by Diana Ross [Motown Records], “Let’s Dance” by David Bowie [EMI Records] and “Like a Virgin” by Madonna [Warner Bros. Records].

Meanwhile, Rudimental’s as-yet-untitled sophomore album is expected to be released later this year via Black Butter Records / Asylum Records.

The highly-anticipated LP serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Home,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart.

The band – consisting of Amir Amor, DJ Locksmith, Kesi Dryden and Piers Agget – also co-wrote “Bloodstream” for Ed Sheeran along with Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol. The track is lifted from Sheeran’s latest album, “x.”

Pharrell Williams has unleashed the music video for his new single online.

“Come Get it Bae” – featuring Miley Cyrus – marks the third promotional single from the singer, songwriter and record producer’s latest album, “G I R L,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The collection also features previous releases “Happy” and “Marilyn Monroe,” as well as further guest appearances from Justin Timberlake (“Brand New”), Daft Punk (“Gust of Wind”) and Alicia Keys (“Know Who You Are”).

In related news, Pharrell has confirmed songwriting and production placements on the next releases by Usher [RCA Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records], Elijah Blake [Def Jam Recordings], Stacy Barthe [Motown Records], Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records] and Leah LaBelle [Epic Records].
