Darhyl “DJ” Camper has teased a new collaboration with John Legend.

“I still remember sending fan mail online in the seventh grade letting you know I play wishing to meet you,” the American record producer and songwriter posted to Instagram on Friday (April 19, 2019).

Camper previously teamed up with Legend on “Open Your Eyes,” “Dreams” and “Angel,” taken from the artist’s fourth album, 2013’s “Love in the Future,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Camper’s resume boasts additional works with Tamar Braxton (“Love & War”), Mary J. Blige (“Thick of It”), Ne-Yo (“Good Man”), Jessie J (“Not My Ex”), Trey Songz (“Pretty Girl’s Lie”), Christina Aguilera (“Masochist”), Mariah Carey (“Dedicated”) and Keyshia Cole (“Trust & Believe”).

Meanwhile, Legend’s current single “Preach” – which was co-written by Sarah Aarons and produced by Greg Kurstin – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

His upcoming seventh studio collection reportedly delivers further contributions from Scott Storch, Cutfather, Warren “Oak” Felder, Stacy Barthe, Dan Wilson, Mr. Hudson, Max Wolfgang, Nasri Atweh, and Twice As Nice.

John Legend enlists Scott Storch, Sick Drumz for new collaboration

American singer, songwriter and record producer John Legend has enlisted Scott Storch and Sick Drumz for a new collaboration.

As part of music production team Twice As Nice, Sick Drumz (born Te Whiti Warbrick) has helmed songs for Rihanna (“Needed Me”), Post Malone (“Big Lie”), Camila Cabello (“In the Dark”), R3hab (“Rumors”), Ty Dolla Sign (“Wavy”), Ella Mai (“Breakfast in Bed”), Raye (“Cigarette”) and Ella Vos (“I Know You Care”).

Meanwhile, Storch is responsible for producing Beyonce’s “Naughty Girl,” Chris Brown’s “Undecided,” Kelly Rowland’s “Work,” Mario’s “Let Me Love You,” Christina Aguilera’s “Can’t Hold Us Down,” Justin Timberlake’s “And She Said (Take Me Now),” Toni Braxton’s “Please,” and Ricky Martin’s “I Don’t Care.”

Legend’s latest album “A Legendary Christmas” – featuring contributions from Ruth-Anne Cunningham (“No Place Like Home”), Raphael Saadiq (“Merry Merry Christmas”), Amy Wadge (“By Christmas Eve”) and Wayne Hector (“Wrap Me Up in Your Love”) – is now available via all digital streaming outlets.

For his upcoming studio collection, Legend has worked with Warren “Oak” Felder (Usher), Dan Wilson (Taylor Swift), Raye (Ellie Goulding), Mr. Hudson (Janelle Monae), Max Wolfgang (Craig David), Sasha Sloan (Camila Cabello), Nasri Atweh (Justin Bieber) and Cutfather (Katy Perry).

Leon Bridges delivers sophomore album “Good Thing”

American singer, songwriter and record producer Leon Bridges has delivered his sophomore studio collection under Columbia Records.

“Good Thing” – featuring promotional singles “Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand,” “Bad Bad News” and “Beyond” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project was prominently produced by Ricky Reed, whose resume boasts additional works with Meghan Trainor (“No”), Jessie J (“Burning Up”), Halsey (“Alone”), Fifth Harmony (“Bo$$”), Kesha (“Hymn”), Jason Derulo (“Swalla”) and Christina Aguilera (“Unless it’s with You”).

Other musicians backing Bridges on the follow-up to 2015’s “Coming Home” are Nate Mercereau, Wayne Hector, Dan Wilson, Justin Tranter, Teddy Geiger, Zach Cooper, King Garbage, Steve Wyreman, and Niles City Sound.

John Legend reunites with BloodPop for new single “A Good Night”

American singer/songwriter John Legend has unleashed his new single online.

“A Good Night” – which was co-written by fellow recording artists Raye and Sasha Sloan – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “A Good Night” were handled by BloodPop, who previously teamed up with Legend on the Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter-assisted “What You Do to Me.” The track appears on Legend’s album “Darkness and Light,” which peaked to number fourteen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Legend’s sixth studio collection reportedly yields further productions and songwriting contributions from Cutfather, Max McElligott, RuthAnne, Dan Wilson, and Warren “Oak” Felder.

RuthAnne teases new collaboration with John Legend

Irish singer/songwriter Ruth-Anne Cunningham, professionally known as RuthAnne, has teased a new collaboration with John Legend and Dan Wilson.

“2 legends, 1 Irish writing songs together @johnlegend @danwilsonmusic ❤️❤️☘️☘️,” she posted to Instagram on Sunday (January 21, 2018).

RuthAnne’s songwriting resume boasts works with Jojo (“Too Little, Too Late”), Katharine McPhee (“Over It”), Leona Lewis (“Perfection”), Martin Garrix (“In the Name of Love”), Britney Spears (“Work Bitch”), Pixie Lott (“Broken Arrow”), Zac Samuel (“Never Letting Go”) and Niall Horan (“Slow Hands”).

In addition to working on her upcoming debut record with regular collaborator James “Malay” Ho, RuthAnne has also contributed to the next projects by Stanaj, Louisa Johnson, Ella Henderson, Liza Owen, and Fleur East.

Meanwhile, Legend is expected to release his sixth studio collection – featuring further contributions from Dan Wilson, Warren “Oak” Felder, and Rachel “Raye” Keen – later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2016’s “Darkness and Light,” which peaked to number fourteen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Love Me Now,” “Penthouse Floor” and “Surefire.”

Vance Joy has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The visual clip for “We’re Going Home” was posted to the Australian singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Tuesday (January 10, 2018).

The track was written by Vance Joy (real name James Keogh) alongside Dan Wilson, whose resume boasts additional works with John Legend (“You and I”), Adele (“Somebody Like You”), Noah Cyrus (“Almost Famous”), LeAnn Rimes (“Borrowed”), The Weeknd (“Sidewalks”) and Halsey (“Alone”).

Joy’s upcoming sophomore studio collection “Nation of Two” – featuring previous promotional single “Lay It On Me” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Having previously worked with Legend on “You & I (Nobody in the World),” Wilson’s extensive songwriting resume boasts additional collaborations with Adele (“Someone Like You”), Halsey (“Alone”), LeAnn Rimes (“Borrowed”), Taylor Swift (“Treacherous”) and Pink (“The Great Escape”).

Meanwhile, Felder’s recent production credits include Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry,” Bea Miller’s “To the Grave,” Andy Grammer’s “This Ain’t Love,” Betty Who’s “Some Kinda Wonderful,” ZZ Ward’s “Ghost,” Kehlani’s “Distraction,” Britney Spears’ “Clumsy,” and Jordan Fisher’s “Counterfeit.”

Legend’s latest studio collection “Darkness and Light” – featuring promotional singles “Love Me Now,” “Penthouse Floor” and “Surefire” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

He also provided guest vocals on the Zak Abel-penned / TMS-produced cut “I’ll Be Gentle,” taken from Paloma Faith’s chart-topping album “The Architect.”
