Zara Larsson teams with Tom Walker on new song “Now You’re Gone”

Zara Larsson has teamed up with fellow recording artist Tom Walker on a new song “Now You’re Gone,” taken from Walker’s debut studio collection, “What a Time to Be Alive,” which is now available via Sony Music/Relentless Records.

The track was co-written by Chelcee Grimes (Dua Lipa’s “Kiss and Make Up”, Louisa Johnson’s “So Good,” Kylie Minogue’s “Million Miles”) and Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Rita Ora’s “Your Song,” Craig David’s “Brand New”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Larsson is currently working on her upcoming studio collection under TEN Music Group / Epic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers productions from Max Martin, HitImpulse, Will IDAP, Jordan Riley, Goldgfingers, Rami Yacoub, Carassius Gold, Grades, Cass Lowe, Digital Farm Animals, and Electric.

On the songwriting front, Larsson has worked with Caroline Ailin, Max Wolfgang, Dyo, Erik Hassle, Jin Jin, Marlon Roudette, Nat Dunn, Leland, Whitney Phillips, Michael Pollack, and Delacey.

Alina Baraz reunites with Warren “Oak” Felder for new collaboration

Alina Baraz has reunited with Warren “Oak” Felder for a new collaboration.

Felder previously teamed up with Baraz on two songs – “Coming to My Senses” (co-written by Michael Pollack) and “I Don’t Even Know Why Though” (co-written by Alexandra “Shungudzo” Govere).

Recent credits by the Turkish-American songwriter and record producer include The Chainsmokers’ “Who Do You Love,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Sue Me,” Alessia Cara’s “Growing Pains,” and Calum Scott’s “Stop Myself (Only Human).”

Baraz’s latest promotional single “Feels Right” – which was co-written by Cara Salimando and produced by Ajay “Stint” Bhattacharyya – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Her upcoming project and follow-up to 2018’s “The Color of You” – featuring further productions and songwriting contributions from The Stereotypes, Michael Pollack, Grades, Mary Weitz, Jeff Gitty, Mayila, Hue Strother, J Mills, Skylar Grey, and Jason Evigan – is expected to arrive later this year.

Mahalia drafts Sam Dew for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Mahalia Burkmar, known mononymously as Mahalia, has drafted fellow recording artist Sam Dew for a new collaboration.

Dew’s songwriting resume boasts works with Kelela (“Blue Light”), Lianne La Havas (“What You Don’t Do”), Santigold (“Before the Fire”), Jessie Ware (“Sweetest Song”), Mary J. Blige (“Self Love”), Rihanna (“Numb”), Bridget Kelly (“The Mouth”) and Marsha Ambrosius (“Night Time”).

Meanwhile, Mahalia’s current promotional single “Do Not Disturb” – which was co-written by Alastair O’Donnell, Felix Joseph, Aston Rudi, and Jonny Lattimer – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

For her upcoming sophomore album under Atlantic Records UK, Mahalia has also worked with Kuya Productions (Ella Henderson, Tamera Foster), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue), Grades (Nao, Paloma Faith), Jennifer Decilveo (Anne-Marie, Diana Gordon) and Sam Romans (Raye, Craig David).

Ella Eyre hits the studio with DannyBoyStyles

Ella Eyre has teamed up with DannyBoyStyles for a new collaboration.

The Grammy award-winning record producer and songwriter (born Daniel Schofield) has previously worked with Beyonce (“6 Inch”), Charie Puth (“Does it Feel”), Banks (“Judas”), Zara Larsson (“So Good”), Cassie (“Love a Loser”), Nicki Minaj (“Blow Ya Mind”) and The Weeknd (“Kiss Land”).

Meanwhile, Eyre recently provided guest vocals on Sigala’s “Just Got Paid” and Banx & Ranx’s “Answerphone,” which peaked to numbers 11 and 5 on the UK Singles Chart, respectively. She also co-wrote “Your Ex” for Paloma Faith alongside Peter Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas Barnes of TMS.

Among the musicians expected to appear on Eyre’s sophomore album are Hitimpulse, Invisible Men, Grades, Moon Willis, Laconic, Tre Jean-Marie, Mojam, Elof Loelv, T-Collar, Jordan Riley, Di Genius, and MNEK.

American singer/songwriter Alina Baraz has enlisted Mary Weitz and Daniel “Grades” Traynor for a new collaboration.

Weitz is responsible for co-writing “Waves” for Normani alongside Felicia Ferraro and Jonah Christian. The 6lack-featuring track peaked to number nineteen on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.

Meanwhile, Grades’ recent production and songwriting credits include Ady Suleiman’s “Strange Roses,” TS Graye’s “Honestly,” Nao’s “Drive and Disconnect,” M.O.’s “Wondering,” Years & Years’ “Karma,” Cosha’s “U Better,” Sinead Harnett’s “Body,” and Four of Diamonds’ “Name on It.”

Dua Lipa teams with Joel Little for new collaboration

Dua Lipa has teamed up with Joel Little for a new collaboration.

The New Zealand record producer and songwriter is responsible for Lorde’s “Royals,” Imagine Dragons’ “Whatever it Takes,” Shawn Mendes’s “Youth,” Ruth B’s “If This is Love,” Daya’s “Safe,” Kesha’s “This is Me,” Bebe Rexha’s “The Way I Are (Dance with Somebody),” and Khaled’s “Young, Dumb & Broke.”

Besides renewing his worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV; Little has also contributed to the next projects by Normani, OneRepublic, Ina Wroldsen, and Ella Eyre.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa’s next single “Swan Song” – taken from the original motion picture soundtrack “Alitta: Battle Angel” – will arrive on January 25 via all digital streaming outlets. The track was co-written by Justin Tranter and Kennedi Lykken, with collective production duties handled by Junkie XL alongside Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson (aka Mattman & Robin).

Dua Lipa has enlisted fellow recording artist Tayla Parx for a new collaboration.

Parx recently co-wrote “Thank U, Next” for Ariana Grande alongside Victoria Monet, Tommy Brown, Charles Anderson, and Micheal Foster. The track peaked to number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Parx’s current promotional single “Slow Dancing,” taken from her upcoming project “We Need to Talk,” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa is expected to release her sophomore album next year via Warner Music Group / Warner Brothers Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly yields additional contributions from Jason Evigan, Kamille, Savan Kotecha, Caroline Ailin, Ilya, Tove Lo, Sasha Sloan, Andrew Wyatt, Ilsey Juber, Koz, Lindy Robbins, MNEK, Sarah Hudson, Grades, Emily Warren, Dayyon Alexander, Sarah Aarons, and Clarence Coffee Jr.
