Kelis confirms new EP release for 2020

According to a recent interview with SSENCE, American singer, songwriter and chef Kelis is scheduled to release her new EP later this year.

Among the songwriters and producers Kelis worked with on this project are Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike (Kara Marni, Ella Eyre), Daniel “Grades” Traynor (Dua Lipa, Lianne La Havas), Rowan “Loxe” Perkinson (Sinead Harnett, Tamera Foster) and Dayo “Dyo” Olatunji (Lauren Jauregui, David Guetta).

Kelis’ last studio album, the David Andrew Sitek-produced “Food,” debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned two singles in the shape of “Jerk Ribs” and “Rumble.”

She also provided guest vocals on the track “Back and Forth,” taken from Italian DJ Giorgio Moroder’s fourteenth studio album, “Deja Vu,” which was released in 2015 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Kara Marni drafts ADP, Daecolm for new collaboration

Kara Marni has drafted Amish “ADP” Patel and Daecolm for a new collaboration.

ADP recently co-produced and co-wrote “We Made It” for Louis Tomlinson alongside Levi Lennox, John Henry Ryan, and Julian Bunetta. The track appears on Tomlinson’s debut solo album, “Walls,” which peaked to number nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Meanwhile, Daecolm’s songwriting credits include Chris Brown’s “Bite My Tongue” and Mario’s “Drowning.” His most recent project ‘Figures” – featuring eight new tracks in the shape of “Flashing Lights,” “Cadillac ’95,” “Swervin,” “Loud,” “Righteous,” “Three,” “Neon” and “Sex Birds” – is out now via iTunes, Apple Music, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Marni is currently working on her upcoming third project under Access Records, which serves as the follow-up to 2018’s “Love Just Ain’t Enough” and 2019’s “No Logic.”

The still-untitled collection reportedly features productions from Invisible Men, Cadenza, Phil Cook, Mojam, Che Pope, Grades, Loxe, Mike Woods, Goldfingers, Jay Mooncie, Mnek, Preditah, and Sons of Sonix.

On the songwriting front, Marni has worked with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Dayyon Alexander, Sam Harper, Autumn Rowe, Nadine Samuels, Carmen Reece, Ruth-Anne Cunningham, Philip Plested, and Chiara Hunter.

Kara Marni has teamed up with Craig David for a new collaboration.

The British singer/songwriter’s current single “Do You Miss Me Much” – which was co-written by regular collaborators Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fraser T. Smith – is now available via all other digital streaming outlets.

His upcoming eighth studio album – featuring lead single “When You Know What Love Is” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment UK / Insanity Records.

Meanwhile, Marni is currently working on her upcoming third project under Access Records, which serves as the follow-up to 2018’s “Love Just Ain’t Enough” and 2019’s “No Logic.”

Dua Lipa has unveiled the artwork and release date for her upcoming album.

The British singer/songwriter will release her second studio collection “Future Nostalgia” on April 3rd via Warner Bros. Records.

Current single “Physical” – which was co-written by Sarah Hudson, Clarence Coffee Jr., and Jason Evigan – will arrive on January 31 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2018’s “Dua Lipa” features additional songwriting contributions from from Billy Walsh, Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren, Scott Harris, Julia Michaels, Tove Lo, Jaramye Daniels, Kennedi Lykken, Tayla Parx, Kamille, Sarah Aarons, Ilsey Juber, Jozzy, Sasha Sloan, and Lindy Robbins.

On the production front, Dua Lipa has worked with Stephen “Koz” Kozmeniuk, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Ian Kirkpatrick, Jeff Bhasker, Grades, King Henry, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Max Martin, Joel Little, Fred Ball, Danja, Supa Dups, Metro Boomin’, John Ryan, and Sly.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Physical” as her next promotional cut and will release it on January 30 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Dua Lipa alongside Sarah Hudson (Katy Perry, Rita Ora), Clarence Coffee Jr. (Justin Bieber, Chris Brown) and Jason Evigan (David Guetta, Nick Jonas).

Lianne La Havas has teased the completion of her upcoming album.

“It’s finished :-)” the British singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Wednesday (15 January 2020).

The highly-anticipated project follows 2015’s “Blood,” which peaked to number two on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles “Unstoppable” (produced by Paul Epworth) and “What You Don’t Do” (produced by Matt Hales and Al Shux).

On her third studio album, Havas has worked with songwriters and producers Bruno Major, Kito, Jeff Gitty, Kamille, Sam Crowe, Nao, Mark Guilina, Loxe, Andy Vickery, and Grades.

Somali-Canadian singer songwriter Amaal Nuux has teamed up with Daniel “Grades” Traynor and Rowan “Loxe” Perkinson for a new collaboration.

Grades songwriting and production resume boasts works with H.E.R. (“Lights On”), Dua Lipa (“No Goodbyes”), Tove Lo (“Lies in the Dark”), Fantasia (“Wait for You”), Sinead Harnett (“If You Let Me”), Hamzaa (“Hard to Love”), Raleigh Ritchie (“Time in a Tree”) and Khalid (“Winter”).

Meanwhile, Loxe had previously co-written and produced songs for Nao (“Love Supreme”), Jaz Karis (“Doubt My Love”), Chelou (“Out of Sight”), Jvck James (“Fears”), Vanessa Elisha (“Butter”) and MAAD (“Y.O.U”).

Amaal is currently working on her next project under Universal Music Canada. Her debut mini-collection “Black Dove” – featuring contributions from Jason Pounds, Hayley Gene Penner, JP Saxe, and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes of The Rascals – is now available via all other digital streaming outlets.
