Ruth B announces new promotional single “Rare”

Ruth B has announced the details for her new single.

The Canadian singer/songwriter (born Ruth Berhe) christened “Rare” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming sophomore album under Columbia Records.

Co-written and produced by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile (Janet Jackson’s “Feedback,” Mary J. Blige’s “Gonna Breakthrough,” Rihanna’s “That La La,” Victoria Monet’s “Little More Time,” and The Carters’ “Boss”), the track will arrive on September 21 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

On the follow-up to 2017’s “Safe Haven,” which is expected to arrive later this year, Ruth B has also worked with songwriters and producers including Justin Tranter (Bebe Rexha), Simon Wilcox (Nick Jonas), Andrew Wells (Meghan Trainor) and Danny Parker (Shawn Mendes).

Liza Owen signs worldwide publishing deal with Reservoir Media Management

Liza Owen has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Reservoir Media Management, which also houses fellow songwriters including Ali Tamposi, Carla Marie Williams, Ina Wroldsen, and Lauren Christy.

The British-Cambodian singer/songwriter recently co-penned “16 Steps” for Martin Jensen and Olivia Holt alongside Tamposi, John “JRY” Ryan, and AFTERHRS (aka Andrew Haas and Ian Franzino).

Owen’s promotional singles “Better with Me,” “Don’t Call Me Baby” and “Fallin” are now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

Her resume boasts additional works with songwriters/producers including Goldfingers, Chloe Angelides, Teddy Geiger, Emily Weisband, Jesse Saint John, Tayla Parx, Big Taste, Steph Jones, Julian Bunetta, Shungudzo, Danny Parker, Ilsey Juber, Knighstarr, Sarah Hudson, and Steve Mac.

Mullally drafts Mojam Music for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Connor Mullally-Knight, known mononymously as Mullally, has enlisted Mojam Music for a new collaboration.

Composed of Mustafa Omer and James Murray, the songwriting and production duo are responsible for Emeli Sande’s “Hurts,” Plan B’s “In the Name of Man,” Sinead Harnett’s “Do it Anyway,” Conor Maynard’s “Talking About,” Naughty Boy’s “Should’ve Been Me,” and James Arthur’s “Get Down.”

Mojam have also contributed to the next projects by WENS, Tori Kelly, Ben Platt, Kah-Lo, Rozzi Crane, Nstasia, Ella Henderson, Kranium, Bobii Lewis, Elderbrook, Christian Leave, Bugzy Malone, Mack Wilds, and L Devine.

Meanwhile, Mullally’s upcoming project – featuring further contributions from Jason Evigan, Courage, Jay Mooncie, Phil Cook, Danny Parker, Ed Thomas, Utters, Cook Classics, H-Money, Rodney Jerkins, Grades, Jordan Riley, and Robopop – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Atlantic Records UK.

His current single “Sweet Coffee” – which was co-written by Grace Barker and produced by Ari PenSmith and P2J – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Canadian singer, songwriter, and pianist Ruth Berhe (professionally known as Ruth B.) has enlisted Justin Tranter for a new collaboration.

Tranter recently co-wrote “Make Me Feel” for Bad Boy recording artist Janelle Monae alongside Julia Michaels and Swedish production duo Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson of Mattman & Robin.

The Warner/Chappell signee’s credits also include Camila Cabello’s “Into It,” Nick Jonas’ “Home,” Gwen Stefani’s “My Gift is You,” Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party,” Justin Bieber’s “Friends,” Selena Gomez’s “Bad Liar,” Fergie’s “Tension,” Jason Derulo’s “If I’m Lucky,” and Halsey’s “Bad at Love.”

Meanwhile, Ruth B. is expected to release her second project – featuring further songwriting contributions from Simon Wilcox, Andrew Wells, and Danny Parker – later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

Her debut studio collection, 2017’s “Safe Haven,” peaked to number thirteen on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart and spawned three promotional singles in the shape of “Lost Boy,” “In My Dreams” and “Superficial Love.”

Louisa Johnson has confirmed the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Yes” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album under Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

The 2 Chainz-featuring track was written by Camille “Kamille” Purcell, Andrew “BullySongs” Bullimore, Matthew Radosevich, Christopher “Chris Loco” Crowhurst and Goldfingers (aka Linus Nordstrom and Frank Nobel).

Louisa’s last single “Best Behaviour” – which was co-written by Shungudzo and Danny Parker and produced by Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas “Froe” Barnes – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her debut album reportedly boasts additional productions from Toby Gad, Burns, Steve Mac, Jake Gosling, Dave Bassett, Ian Lovatt, Arnthor Birgisson, Joe Janiak, Digital Farm Animals, Jason Evigan, and Cutfather.

Dua Lipa has reunited with Ilsey Juber for a new collaboration.

Juber previously co-wrote “No Goodbyes” for Dua Lipa alongside Lindy Robbins and Daniel “Grades” Traynor. The track appears on Dua Lipa’s self-titled debut album, which peaked to number five on the UK Albums Chart.

Additionally, Juber’s recent songwriting credits include Camila Cabello (“She Loves Control”), Alisan Porter (“Revolution”), Majid Jordan (“What You Do to Me”), Paloma Faith (“WW3”), Kelly Clarkson (“Meaning of Life”), DJ Snake (“A Different Way”), Noah Cyrus (“Almost Famous”), Tinashe (“Flame”), Demi Lovato (“Only Forever”), Hey Violet (“When Will I Learn”) and Drake (“Glow”).

Ella Henderson drafts Sasha Sloan, Two Inch Punch for new single “Ugly”

British singer/songwriter Ella Henderson has selected “Ugly” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming sophomore album and will release it later this year via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets.

The track was co-written by Henderson alongside fellow recording artist Sasha Sloan, whose other credits include Camila Cabello’s “Never Be the Same,” Niia Rocco’s “Nobody,” Alma’s “Phases,” Maggie Lindemann’s “Pretty Girl,” Kygo’s “This Town,” and Louis Tomlinson’s “Just Hold On.”

Production duties on “Ugly” were handled by Two Inch Punch, who is also responsible for Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human,” Dan Caplen’s “Two Fingers,” Saya’s “Cold Fire,” JP Cooper’s “Good Friend,” Sam Smith’s “Money on My Mind,” Anne-Marie’s “Boy,” Ella Eyre’s “Deeper,” and Moko’s “With You.”

The follow-up to 2014’s “Chapter One” reportedly boasts further contributions from Moon Willis, Lindy Robbins, Robopop, Cara Salimando, Danny Parker, Kamille, Fred Ball, Jennifer Decilveo, Martin Sjolie, Dyo, Cass Lowe, Shungudzo, Fraser T.
