Diane Warren graces debut album by Karen Harding

British singer/songwriter Karen Harding has drafted the songwriting services of Diane Warren for her upcoming debut album.

The legendary songwriter is known for her works with Toni Braxton (“Unbreak My Heart”), Christina Aguilera (“I Turn to You”), Beyonce (“I Was Here”) and Celine Dion (“Because You Loved Me”).

Furthermore, Warren has contributed to the next projects by Brandy [MBK Entertainment], Ciara [Epic], Leona Lewis [Island], Jojo [Atlantic],  Kelly Rowland [Def Jam] and Grace Sewell [RCA].

Meanwhile, Harding is expected to release her first studio collection later this year under Method Records in conjunction with Capitol Records.

Lead single “Say Something” is now available for download via iTunes. The MNEK-produced track peaked to number seven on the UK Singles Chart.

Other musicians backing Harding on the album are Rodney Jerkins, Camille Purcell, Richard Stannard, Jin Jin, Tom Aspaul, Chelcee Grimes, Jimmy Napes, Laura Dockrill, Bradford Ellis, Autumn Rowe and Fraser T. Smith.

Kandace Springs works with Carmen Reece for debut album

Kandace Springs has worked with Carmen Reece for her debut album.

Reece is known for co-writing Ariana Grande’s “Almost is Never Enough” [Republic Records], Teyana Taylor’s “Put Your Love On” [Def Jam Recordings] and Michelle Williams’ “Say Yes” f/ Beyonce & Kelly Rowland [eOne Music].

Her resume also includes works for Samantha Jade [Sony Music Entertainment Australia], Melissa Steel [Atlantic Records], Zendaya [Hollywood Records] and Little Mix [Syco Music / Columbia Records].

Meanwhile, Springs’ first studio collection will be released later this year via SRP Records in partnership with Capitol Records and Black Note Records. The still-untitled project is executive produced by Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.

On the songwriting and production front, the still-untitled project features further contributions from Rodney Jerkins, Andrea Martin, James Poyser, Stacy Barthe, Andre Harris, Dan Wilson, Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge and Jack Splash.

Kandace Springs hints at new collaboration with Rodney Jerkins

Kandace Springs has hinted at a new collaboration with Rodney Jerkins.

“Bout to head into the studio with @RodneyJerkins” the singer, songwriter and pianist tweeted on Wednesday (February 25, 2015).

Jerkins recently served as executive producer for Mary J. Blige’s latest album “The London Session,” which is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Universal Music Group imprint Capitol Records.

His extensive resume also includes works for Mariah Carey [Epic Records], Toni Braxton [Motown Records], Sia [RCA Records], Rihanna [SRP Records], Ariana Grande [Republic Records] and Tori Kelly [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, Springs is expected to release her debut album later this year via SRP Records in partnership with Blue Note Records and Capitol Records.

The still-untitled project will be prominently helmed New York-based songwriting and production duo Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken.

Other songwriters and producers backing Springs on the still-untitled project are Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, Jack Splash, Stacy Barthe, Andre Harris, James “Malay” Ho, Dan Wilson, Andrea Martin and James Poyser.

Evan Ross drops “How to Live Alone” lyric video

Evan Ross is out with the lyric video for his new single online.

The singer and actor posted the lyric-based visual clip for “How to Live Alone” to his official Vevo page on Saturday (December 13, 2014).

“How to Live Alone” was penned by Jon Bellion, who is also responsible for co-writing Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets” [Warner Bros. Records] and Eminem’s “The Monster” featuring Rihanna [Interscope Records].

Meanwhile, the upcoming project by Ross is expected to be released during the first quarter of 2015 via Evolve Music Group in partnership with Capitol Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly spawns alliances with Rodney Jerkins (Brandy, Michael Jackson), DJ White Shadow (R. Kelly, Lady Gaga), Savan Kotecha (Usher, Ariana Grande) and Novel (Fantasia, Avery Wilson).

The actor and singer christened “How to Live Alone” as the first promotional cut from his upcoming project, which will be released in 2015 via Rodney Jerkins’ label Evolve Music Group and Capitol Records.

He also executive-produced Mary J. Blige’s latest album “The London Sessions” along with fellow songwriter and record producer, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. The project – featuring hit singles “Right Now” and “Therapy” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Capitol Records.

Meanwhile, Goulding has confirmed that her third studio collection will be released in 2015 via Polydor Records (UK) and Interscope Records (US).

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Halcyon,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and peaked at number nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

British electronic music duo Disclosure posted the audio clip for “Follow” to their official SoundCloud page on Wednesday (November 19, 2014).

“Follow” was co-written by Mary J. Blige along with Jimmy Napes, who also worked with the likes of Sam Smith (“Stay with Me”), Jessie Ware (“Pieces”), Gorgon City (“Unmissable”) and Clean Bandit (“Rather Be”).
