Aston Merrygold drafts Chelcee Grimes, Future Cut for debut album

British singer/songwriter Aston Merrygold has added Chelcee Grimes and Future Cut to the list of contributors for his upcoming debut album.

Grimes’ songwriting resume includes works for Fleur East [Syco Music], Karen Harding [Capitol Records], Little Mix [Columbia Records], Conor Maynard [Parlophone Records] and Tulisa Contostavlos [All Around the World].

Some of her notable credits are “Million Miles” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone] and “Walking Through the Desert” by The Saturdays [Polydor].

Meanwhile, Future Cut are known for producing and co-writing Olly Murs’ “Please Don’t Let Me Go” [Epic Records], Lily Allen’s “Smile” [Parlophone Records] and Stooshe’s “Black Heart” [Warner Bros Records].

The hitmaking duo – consisting of Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola –also contributed to the next projects by Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Whinnie Williams [Night Beach Records], Alesha Dixon [Asylum Records] and Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor Records].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Merrygold is expected to release his first studio collection later this year under Warner Bros. Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly features additional alliances with The Underdogs (Ciara, Justin Timberlake), Jin Jin (MNEK, Jess Glynne), Dem Jointz (Rihanna, Madison Beer) and Lil’ Eddie (Usher, Prince Royce).

Jasmine V hits the studio with Rob Knox for new music

Jasmine V has recorded new material with Rob Knox.

The hitmaker is known for co-writing and producing Ciara’s “Love Sex Magic” f/ Justin Timberlake [Jive Records], Rihanna’s “Cold Case Love” [Def Jam Recordings] and Joe Jonas’ “Just in Love” [Hollywood Records].

His extensive resume includes further works for Britney Spears [RCA Records], Katharine McPhee [Columbia Records], Leona Lewis [Island Records], Pixie Lott [Virgin EMI Records] and Nathan Sykes [Global Talent Entertainment].

Meanwhile, Jasmine V is expected to release her debut album later this year under Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s EP “That’s Me Right There,” which featured singles “Walk Away” and “I Love Your Crazy.”

Production-wise, the full-length CD will boast contributions from Soundz (Usher, K. Michelle), Benny Cassette (Miguel, Elle Varner), Ne-Yo (Keri Hilson, Sevyn Streeter) and Dem Jointz (Brandy, Aston Merrygold).

Jasmine V has worked with Dem Jointz for her upcoming debut album.

“@JasmineVillegas and I are back at it,” the record producer posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday (April 14, 2015).

Dem Jointz is known for co-writing and producing hits for Brandy f/ Chris Brown (“Put it Down”), JLS (“Hottest Girl in the World”), Christina Aguilera (“Shut Up”) and Sevyn Streeter (“Call Me Crazy”).

His extensive resume includes further works for Marsha Ambrosius [RCA Records], Madison Beer [Island Records], Jordin Sparks [Larger Than Life Records] and Candice Pillay [KIDinaKORNER].

Meanwhile, Jasmine V is expected to release her first studio collection later this year under Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts additional alliances with Soundz (Jeremih, K. Michelle), Ne-Yo (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland), Benny Cassette (Elle Varner, Keri Hilson) and Jon Bellion (Eminem, Jason Derulo).

Jasmine’s debut EP “That’s Me Right There” – featuring previous promotional cuts “Walk Away,” “I Love Your Crazy” and the Kendrick Lamar-assisted title track – is now available for download via iTunes.

Jordin Sparks has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for the 2 Chainz-assisted “Double Tap” to her official Vevo channel on Wednesday (March 11, 2015).

“Double Tap” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Victoria Monet (Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande), Thomas Lumpkins (Britney Spears, Janet Jackson) and Jonas Jeberg (Nicole Scherzinger, Pixie Lott).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Sparks’ third studio album “Right Here, Right Now” will hit stores later this year via Larger Than Life Records.

The follow-up to 2009’s “Battlefield” is executive-produced by Salaam Remi, who also worked with Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Leona Lewis [Island Records] and Mack Wilds [Larger Than Life Records].

Other album contributors are Dem Jointz (Brandy, Madison Beer), Crada (Drake, Emeli Sande), Elijah Blake (Usher, Keyshia Cole), Tommy Brown (Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez) and DJ Mustard (Omarion, Jhene Aiko).

Dem Jointz has confirmed a new collaboration with Madison Beer.

“Madison Beer got a banger! Thanks to Sha Sha Jones and Danny Carter,” he posted to his Instagram page on Tuesday (March 03, 2015).

The Hip-Hop and R&B record producer – real name Dwayne Abernathy – is known for his work with Danity Kane (“All in a Day’s Work”), Brandy f/ Chris Brown (“Put it Down”) and Christina Aguilera (“Shut Up”).

Among the other artists he worked with are Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Marsha Ambrosius [RCA Records], Jordin Sparks [Larger Than Life Records] and Tinie Tempah [Parlophone Records].

Meanwhile, Beer is expected to release her first studio collection later this year via Universal Music Group imprint Island Records.

Music mogul Scooter Braun serves as the project’s executive producer. His client list also includes Ariana Grande [Republic Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Carly Rae Jepsen [Interscope Records].

Other contributors on the still-untitled LP are Tricky Stewart (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland), The-Dream (Usher, Mariah Carey), Ina Wroldsen (Janelle Monae, Britney Spears) and Toby Gad (Madonna, John Legend).

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Double Tap” – featuring 2 Chainz – to her official SoundCloud channel.

“Double Tap” – which was initially featured on the artist’s mixtape “#ByeFelicia” – is slotted for inclusion on the artist’s third album, “Right Here, Right Now,” out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / Larger Than Life Records.

Salaam Remi serves as the new CD’s executive producer. His most recent credits include Jazmine Sullivan’s “Dumb” [RCA Records], Kat Dahlia’s “Mirror” [Epic Records] and Ella Henderson’s “Hard Work” [Syco Music].
