Disclosure, Gregory Porter unleash new single “Holding On”

Disclosure have unleashed their new single online.

The British electronic music duo posted the audio clip for “Holding On” to their Vevo channel on Tuesday (May 26, 2015).

“Holding On” – featuring vocals from Gregory Porter – marks the first promotional cut from the group’s upcoming sophomore album under PMR Records in conjunction with Island Records (UK) and Cherrytree Records (US).

The track was written by band members Guy and Howard Lawrence along with regular collaborator Jimmy Napes, whose other credits include Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” [Capitol] and Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” [Atlantic].

Disclosure’s debut album, 2013’s “Settle,” debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned several hit singles including “Latch,” “White Noise,” “You & Me,” “F for You” and “Voices.”

That collection also featured guest appearances from AlunaGeorge [Island Records], Sinead Harnett [Virgin EMI Records], Jessie Ware [PMR Records], London Grammer [Ministry of Sound] and Sasha Keable [Polydor Records].

In related news, Howard Lawrence of Disclosure has written “Wonderful” for fellow UK singer and songwriter Lianne La Havas along with Matt “Aqualung” Hales. The track is included on Havas’ second studio collection, “Blood,” which will hit stores on July 31 under Warner Bros Records.

Lianne La Havas has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Unstoppable” to her official YouTube channel on Wednesday (May 15, 2015).

Production duties on “Unstoppable” were handled by Paul Epworth, whose resume also includes works for John Legend [Columbia Records], FKA twigs [Young Turks Recordings] and Florence Welch [Republic Records].

The track marks the first promotional cut from Havas’ sophomore album, “Blood,” which will hit stores on July 31 under Warner Bros Records.

Shea Taylor (Rihanna, Janet Jackson), Di Genius (Ne-Yo, Melissa Steel), Matt Hales (Leona Lewis, Sara Bareilles) and Howard Lawrence of Disclosure (Mary J. Blige, Sam Smith) are among the contributors on the new album.

Havas’ first studio collection, 2012’s “Is Your Love Big Enough?,” peaked to number four on the UK Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “No Room for Doubt,” “Lost & Found,” “Forget” and “Age.”

Disclosure reunite with Jimmy Napes for second album

British electronic duo Disclosure have reunited with Jimmy Napes for their upcoming sophomore album.

“Guy and Howard putting the work on this second album,” Napes posted to his official Instagram account on Wednesday (March 25, 2015).

The singer, songwriter and record producer previously teamed with Disclosure on hit singles including “Latch,” “You and Me” and “White Noise.”

He also served as executive producer for Mary J. Blige’s latest album “The London Sessions” along with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

Meanwhile, Disclosure are expected to release their second studio collection later this year under PMR Records and Island Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Settle,” which peaked to number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned guest appearances from Sam Smith [Capitol Records] and Jessie Ware [Island Records].

In related news, fans of Napes’ songwriting and production work should look out for the next projects by Karen Harding [Capitol Records], Eliza Doolittle [Parlophone Records] and Ellie Goulding [Polydor Records].

Eliza Doolittle hints at new collaboration with Jimmy Napes

Eliza Doolittle has hinted at a new collaboration with Jimmy Napes.

“Bruva from anuva” the British singer/songwriter posted to her official Instagram page on Wednesday (February 04, 2015), referring to Napes.

Doolittle previously teamed with Napes on the track “So High,” taken from her self-titled debut album released in 2009 via Parlophone Records.

The Grammy-nominated musician – real name James Napier – also co-wrote Disclosure’s “You & Me,” which features guest vocals from Doolittle. The song peaked to number ten on the UK Singles Chart.

His upcoming mini-album, “The Making of Me,” will be released on March 9 via iTunes (UK) in partnership with Method Records and Polydor Records. The keenly-awaited EP includes current single “Give it Up.”

Meanwhile, Doolittle is expected to release her third studio collection and follow-up to 2013’s “In Your Hands” later this year.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts productions from Scott Storch (Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera) and Jack Splash (Pixie Lott, Katy Perry).

The singer, songwriter and record producer posted the Luke Monaghan-directed clip for “Give it Up” to his YouTube page on Tuesday (January 20, 2015).

“Give it Up” was produced by Howard Lawrence of Disclosure, who also teamed with Napes on hit singles “Latch,” “You & Me,” “Voices” and “White Noise.”

The track appears on Napes’ upcoming mini-album, “The Making of Me,” which will be available for download from March 9 via iTunes in partnership with Method Records and Polydor Records.

On the songwriting and production front, Napes – real name James Napier – has contributed to the next studio album by fellow British artist Ellie Goulding.

Jimmy Napes has revealed the details for his upcoming mini-album.

The British singer, songwriter and record producer – born James Napier – is scheduled to release “The Making of Me” on March 9 via iTunes (UK) in partnership with Method Records and Polydor Records.

Lead single “Give it Up” was produced by Howard Lawrence of British electronic music duo Disclosure, who also teamed with Napes on “Settle” tracks “Latch,” “You & Me,” “Voices” and “White Noise.”

On the songwriting and production front, Napes is co-responsible for Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” [PMR Records], Jessie Ware’s “Pieces” [Island Records] and Mary J. Blige’s “Nobody But You” [Capitol Records].

His resume also includes works for Ellie Goulding [Polydor Records], Jess Glynne [Atlantic Records], Eliza Doolittle [Parlophone Records], AlunaGeorge [Island Records] and Sasha Keable [Disturbing London].

“The London Sessions” – featuring hit singles “Right Now,” “Whole Damn Year” and “Therapy” – is now available for download via iTunes (UK) in partnership with Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

The highly-anticipated project was executively produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, whose extensive resume includes works for Beyonce (“Déjà vu”), Toni Braxton (“He Wasn’t Man Enough”) and Janet Jackson (“Make Me”).

Other album producers include Naughty Boy, Francis “Eg” White, Disclosure, Shakil Ashraf, M.J. Cole, Steve Fitzmaurice, Knox Brown, and Craze & Hoax.

On the songwriting front, Blige has teamed up with Emeli Sande, Jimmy Napes, Sam Smith, Ben Harrison, James Murray, and Sam Romans.
