Antonique Smith debuts new single “Higher”

Antonique Smith has debuted her new single online.

The actress, singer, and songwriter posted the audio clip for “Higher” to her official YouTube channel on Friday (August 28, 2015).

Co-production duties on “Higher” – out now via iTunes – were handled by Kevin Risto and Wayne Nugent of Midi Mafia, who are also behind John Legend’s “Quickly” f/ Brandy and Justin Bieber’s “Overboard” f/ Jessica Jarrell.

Smith’s upcoming mini-collection “Love is Everything” – featuring previous promotional cut “Hold Up Wait a Minute (Woo Woo)” – is slated to hit digital outlets later this year through 9:23 Music Group.

Among the musicians who reportedly contributed to the EP are Toby Gad (Beyonce, Alicia Keys), Danja (Usher, Britney Spears), Novel (Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson) and Dr. Dre (Eminem, Kendrick Lamar).

Jean Baptiste Kouame graces debut album by KStewart?

Jean Baptiste Kouame has hinted at a new collaboration with KStewart.

“@K_Stewart_Music is like a monster! I was blown away!” the songwriter and record producer tweeted on Friday (August 14, 2015).

Baptiste recently co-produced and co-wrote “Talk About It” for Dr. Dre along with DJ Dahi and regular collaborators Ryan Buendia and Michael McHenry. The track is now available via iTunes in partnership with Interscope Records.

Furthermore, Baptiste’s resume boasts additional works with Madonna (“I’m a Sinner”), Rihanna (“Photographs”), Tulisa (“Damn”), Sevyn Streeter (“It Won’t Stop”), Kelis (“Scream”) and Chris Brown (“Don’t Be Gone Too Long”).

Meanwhile, KStewart is expected to release her first studio collection – featuring hit single “Keeping You Up” – later this year through Cherry Bomb Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers other collaborations with Richard X (Kylie Minogue, Will Young), Future Cut (Rita Ora, Olly Murs), MNEK (Little Mix, Karen Harding) and Shift K3Y (Andrea Martin, James Fauntleroy).

Antonique Smith has shared the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the Larenz Tate-directed clip for “Hold Up Wait a Minute (Woo Woo)” to her official Vevo page on Monday (1st December, 2014).

“Hold Up Wait a Minute (Woo Woo)” – which was written by Smith along with Darryl Farmer and Elijah Kelley – is now available for download via iTunes.

The track appears on the artist’s upcoming debut album, “Love is Everything,” which will be released during the first quarter of 2015.

Among the musicians backing Smith on the highly-anticipated project are Toby Gad (Madonna, Alicia Keys), Danja (Usher, Keri Hilson), Novel (Avery Wilson, Leona Lewis) and Dr. Dre (Mary J. Blige, Gwen Stefani).

Marsha Ambrosius has revealed the official tracklisting for her new album.

The British singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Friends & Lovers” on July 15 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

New single “Run” – written by Marsha Ambrosius along with Jenna Andrews and Dillon Pace – is now available for download via iTunes.

“Friends & Lovers” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Late Nights and Early Mornings,” which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered singles “Hope She Cheats on You” and “Far Away.”

Antonique Smith has worked with super producer Danja for her debut album.

The singer/songwriter – best known for portraying Faith Evans on the 2009 biopic “Notorious” – is expected to release the still-untitled LP in 2014.

Danja – born Nathaniel Hills – has previously collaborated with the likes of Nelly Furtado [Interscope Records], Justin Timberlake [RCA Records], Mary J. Blige [Geffen Records] and Mariah Carey [Island Def Jam Recordings].

Some of his recent songwriting and production credits include “Strawberry Vapors” by Luke James [N.A.R.S. Records], “Bad Girls” by M.I.A. [Interscope Records] and “Can You Hear Me Now” by Brandy [RCA Records].

“New Day” is taken from the singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Girl on Fire,” which is out now via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.
