Craig David enlists Cathy Dennis for new collaboration

Craig David has enlisted Cathy Dennis for a new collaboration.

The former British recording artist is known for co-writing Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” Britney Spears’s “Toxic,” Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl,” Janet Jackson’s “Island Life,” Rachel Stevens’ “Sweet Dreams My LA Ex,” Livvi Franc’s “Automatik,” and Spice Girls’ “Bumper to Bumper.”

Dennis has also worked with producers including Stargate, Greg Kurstin, Scott Storch, Devonte Hynes, Mark Ronson, Greg Wells, Jack Splash, Rick Nowels, Christopher Braide, Guy Chambers, Harvey Mason Jr., and Future Cut.

Besides regular collaborators Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fraser T. Smith, Craig David has also worked on new music with Naughty Boy, Ed Drewett, Nile Rodgers, Rachel Furner, ADP, Carmen Reece, Oliver Heldens, Grace Barker, Alan Sampson, and Banx & Ranx.

David’s last studio collection “The Time is Now,” which was released earlier this year, peaked to number two on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles “Heartline,” “I Know You” and “Magic.”

Craig David hits the studio with Naughty Boy, Ed Drewett

Craig David has teamed up with Naughty Boy and Ed Drewett for a new collaboration.

“Blessed day writing with my brothers @craigdavid and @eddrewett can’t wait for you all to hear what we have created, some songs are made with pure magic in the air, and I’m grateful for this song and for our conversations,” Naughty Boy posted to Instagram on Thursday (15 November 2018).

Besides previously working with David on “Going On” and “Couldn’t Be Mine,” Drewett is also responsible for co-writing Jonas Blue’s “Polaroid,” Little Mix’s “Black Magic,” Louisa Johnson’s “So Good,” Sinead Harnett’s “Do It Anyway,” Britney Spears’ “Hard to Forget Ya,” and Olly Murs’s “Hand on Heart.”

Meanwhile, Naughty Boy’s production resume boasts works with Emeli Sande (“Heaven”), Leona Lewis (“Trouble”), Rihanna (“Half of Me”), Mary J. Blige (“Pick Me Up”), James Arthur (“Supposed”), Marlon Roudette (“Anti Hero”), Tanika Bailey (“Runaway”) and Cheryl Cole (“Craziest Things”).

As mentioned on earlier posts, David has recently worked on new music with Nile Rodgers, Jin Jin, Rachel Furner, ADP, Carmen Reece, Oliver Heldens, Grace Barker, Alan Sampson, and Banx & Ranx.

Olly Murs confirms details for new album “You Know I Know”

Olly Murs has confirmed the details for his new album.

The British singer/songwriter christened his sixth studio collection “You Know I Know” and will release it on November 9 via Syco Music / RCA Records.

Current promotional single “Moves” – which was co-written by Ed Sheeran alongside Ammar Malik and Steve Mac – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

On the follow-up to 2016’s “24 Hrs,” Murs has also worked with Steve Robson, Wayne Hector, Claude Kelly, TMS, Iain James, Caroline Ailin, Digital Farm Animals, Grace Barker, James Newman, Kamille, and Ed Drewett.

Max George liberates debut solo single, “Barcelona”

British singer/songwriter Max George, formerly of UK boy band The Wanted, has liberated his debut solo single online.

“Barcelona” – which was written by Lindy Robbins alongside Ed Drewett, Clarence Coffee Jr. and Steve Mac – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

For his upcoming project under Barry Weiss’ label Records; George has also worked with Diane Warren, Phil Cook, Fiona Bevan, Jon Green, Amy Wadge, Harry Sommerdahl, Christopher Baran, and JHart.

Thomas Rhett premieres “Leave Right Now” music video

Thomas Rhett has premiered the music video for his new single online.

The visual clip for “Leave Right Now (Martin Jensen Mix)” was posted to the American singer/songwriter’s YouTube channel on Monday (May 21, 2018).

The track, which appears on Rhett’s latest album “Life Changes,” was co-written by Ed Drewett (Craig David, Sinead Harnett), John “JRY” Ryan (Raye, Jessie Ware) and Julian Bunetta (Harry Styles, Niall Horan).

Rhett is also recording new music with the songwriters and producers including Brian Kennedy, James Fauntleroy, Dallas Davidson, Ryan Tedder, Zach Skelton, Jacob Kasher, and Charlie Puth.

Craig David selects “Magic” as new promotional single

Craig David has announced the details for his new promotional single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Magic” as the next promotional cut from his latest studio collection “The Time is Now,” which was released earlier this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Insanity Records.

The track was co-written by regular collaborators Ed Drewett and Tre Jean-Marie, who previously teamed up with David on “Couldn’t Be Mine,” taken from the artist’s chart-topping album “Following My Intuition.”

Furthermore, the “Fill Me In” star is currently working on new music with songwriters and producers including Fraser T. Smith, Nile Rodgers, Carmen Reece, Alan Sampson, Grace Barker, and Amish “ADP” Patel.

Chelcee Grimes hits the studio with Lindy Robbins, Future Cut

British singer/songwriter Chelcee Grimes has teamed up with Lindy Robbins and Future Cut for a new collaboration.

Recent songwriting credits by Robbins include DJ Snake’s “A Different Way,” Sam Fisher’s “This City,” Jennifer Hudson’s “Burden Down,” Dua Lipa’s “No Goodbyes,” Paloma Faith’s “Crybaby,” and Rachel Platten’s “Collide.”

Composed of Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola, Future Cut’s production resume boasts works with Maxine Ashley (“Happy”), Lilly Ahlberg (“Bad Boys”), Whinnie Williams (“What About Me”), Matt Terry (“Heartless”), Bakar (“Small Town Girl”), Alex Adair (“Casual”) and Matt Wills (“Marry You”).

Grimes, on the other hand, is scheduled to release her upcoming debut project later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Label Group UK.

The still-untitled collection reportedly delivers further contributions from RedOne, Negin Djafari, Knightstarr, Phil Cook, Jonas Blue, Sam Romans, Fiona Bevan, Wayne Wilkins, Shelly Peiken, Ed Drewett, Richard “Biff” Stannard, Ash Howes, Kara DioGuardi, Jamie Hartman, Stuart Crichton, and Cutfather.
