Kenzie May teams up with Felix Joseph for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Kenzie May has recorded new music with Felix Joseph.

The record producer, songwriter, photographer, and art director is known for his works with Abi Ocia (“Konfyt”), Jorja Smith (“Beautiful Little Fools”), Cosima (“Hymns for Him”), Kwabs (“Perfect Ruin”), Ray BLK (“50/50”), Elli Ingram (“Canna Butter Kisses”), Birdy (“Take My Heart”) and JJ (“City Lights”).

May, on the other hand, is expected to release her debut project – featuring promotional single “Never Find Another” – later this year.

Among the other musicians May has worked with are Future Cut, Hannah Yadi, Blue May, KiTo, Natalia Hajjara, GRADES, Phil Cook, BURNS, Matt Parad, Nylo, Joel Compass, Nate Cyphert, Mike “Scribz’ Riley, Lucas Secon, Josh Wilkinson, Francis “Eg” White, and Cass Lowe.

On the songwriting front, May – born Mackenzie Bryant – has penned songs for Dua Lipa (“Worst Enemy”), FTSE (“Float”), Bronze Whale (“Hear Me”), Dionne Bromfield (“Get Loose”) and Race Banyon (“Surface”).

Charlotte OC releases acoustic rendition of “Darkest Hour”

British singer/songwriter Charlotte OC has released a new song online.

The acoustic rendition of “Darkest Hour” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Charlotte OC alongside Jarrad Rogers (Demi Lovato, Rita Ora) and Sean Foreman (Kesha, Ariana Grande).

Production duties on “Darkest Hour” were handled by Tim Anderson, whose other credits include BANKS’ “Mind Games,” Sam Sparrow’s “Yellow Orange Rays,” Halsey’s “Hurricane,” and Solange’s “Sleep in the Park.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Charlotte OC will release her sophomore studio collection “Careless People” on March 31 via Harvest Records.

The highly-anticipated project delivers further songwriters contributions from Tom Aspaul (Celeste Waite), Andrew Jackson (Ellie Goulding), Nate Campany (Tori Kelly), Daniel Nigro (Sky Ferreira) and Laura “LP” Pergolizzi (Becky Hill).

On the follow-up to 2011’s “For Kenny,” Charlotte OC has also worked with Francis “Eg” White (Sam Smith), Martin Sjolie (Maria Mena), Jone Levine (Bebe Rexha), Sacha Skarbek (Lana Del Rey) and Adam Argyle (Ella Henderson).

Charlotte OC enlists Laura Pergolizzi, Jon Levine for new single “Medicine Man”

Charlotte OC has released her new single online.

“Medicine Man” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Laura “LP” Pergolizzi, whose other credits include Rihanna’s “Cheers (Drink to That),” Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful People,” Ella Henderson’s “Mirror Man,” Leona Lewis’ “Fingerprint,” and Cher’s “Red.”

Production duties on “Medicine Man” were handled by Jon “The Rabbi” Levine, who is also responsible for Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song,” Dua Lipa’s “Blow Your Mind (Mwah),” and Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy.”

John Legend has delivered his new album online.

“Darkness and Light” – featuring promotional singles “Love Me Now,” “Penthouse Floor” and “I Know Better” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Love in the Future” delivers songwriting contributions from Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele), Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez), Justin Tranter (Nicole Scherzinger) and Tyler Johnson (Miley Cyrus).

Album producers are Blake Mills (Laura Marling), Greg Kurstin (Sia), John Henry Ryan (Colbie Caillat), Francis “Eg” White (Sam Smith), Ludwig Göransson (Childish Gambino) and BloodPop (Lady GaGa).

The project features productions and songwriting contributions from Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Craig David), Lindy Robbins (Brandy, Jason Derulo), Mark Batson (Nas, Alicia Keys), Diane Warren (Aaliyah, Lady GaGa), Paul Barry (Enrique Iglesias, James Bay) and Francis “Eg” White (Adele, Sam Smith).

Rimes’s last studio collection, 2013’s “Spitfire,” debuted at number nine on the US Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and spawned singles including “What Have I Done,” “Borrowed” and “Gasoline and Matches.”

Rebecca Ferguson releases new album “Superwoman”

Rebecca Ferguson has released her fourth studio collection online.

“Superwoman” – featuring lead single “Bones” – is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Lady Sings the Blues” was entirely produced by Troy Miller, who also worked with the likes of Mark Ronson, Laura Mvula, James Newman, Gregory Porter, and CeeLo Green.

Other musicians backing Ferguson on “Superwoman” are Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding), Francis “Eg” White (James Morrison), Bradford Ellis (Leona Lewis), Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran), Chris Leonard (Shawn Mendes) and Matt Prime (Charlie Puth).

On the songwriting front, Ferguson has teamed up with Negin Djafari (Fifth Harmony), Chiara Hunter (Fleur East), Diana Gordon (Rita Ora), Jennifer Decilveo (Madison Beer) and Isabella “Isa Machine” Summers (Katharine McPhee).

Rebecca Ferguson has announced the details for her upcoming fourth album.

The British singer-songwriter christened her next studio collection “Superwoman” and will release it on October 14 via Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music in partnership with RCA Records.

Lead single “Bones” – which was penned and initially recorded by New Zealand artist Ginny Blackmore – is now available for download via iTunes.

For the follow-up to 2015’s “Lady Sings the Blues,” Ferguson has teamed up with Troy Miller (Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse), Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, Izzy Bizu), and Francis “Eg” White (Adele, Sam Smith).

“Superwoman” reportedly delivers additional alliances with Jake Gosling (Shania Twain, Ed Sheeran), Chris Leonard (Shawn Mendes, Ella Henderson), Bradford Ellis (Anne-Marie, Fleur East), and Negin Djafari (Fifth Harmony, KStewart).
