Mariah Carey liberates new album “Caution”

Mariah Carey has liberated her fifteenth studio collection online.

“Caution” – featuring singles “GTFO,” “With You,” “The Distance” and “A No No” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

On the highly-anticipated project, Carey has worked with songwriters and producers including The Stereotypes, Dev Hynes, Skrillex, Priscilla Renea, Timbaland, Bibi Bourelly, Lido, Prince Charlez, Fred Ball, WondaGurl, Nineteen85, Poo Bear, Shea Taylor, DJ Mustard, and No I.D.

Mariah Carey hits the studio with Prince Charlez, No ID for new collaboration

Mariah Carey has enlisted Prince Charlez and No I.D. for a new collaboration.

Charlez is responsible for co-writing Zedd & Liam Payne’s “Get Low,” Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” Mary J. Blige’s “U + Me (Love Lesson),” K. Michelle’s “Talk to God,” Ella Mai’s “Who Knew,” and Tey Songz’s “Song Goes Off.”

Meanwhile, No I.D.’s production resume boasts works with Kanye West (“Bound 2”), Jhene Aiko (“To Love and Die”), Big Sean (“Control”), Melanie Fiona (“This Time”), Jay-Z (“Holy Grail”) and Drake (“Find Your Love”).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Carey is expected to release the follow-up to 2014’s “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse” later this year via Butterfly MC Records in partnership with Epic Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further productions and songwriting contributions from Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Johnta Austin, Crystal Nicole, Eric Hudson, Priscilla Renea, and Diane Warren.

Snoh Aalegra taps DJ Dahi for debut album

Swedish singer/songwriter Snoh Aalegra has added DJ Dahi to the list of contributors for her upcoming debut album.

The record producer and songwriter – born Dacoury Natche – is known for collaborating with the likes of Drake [Republic Records], Kendrick Lamar [Interscope Records] and Vince Staples [Def Jam Recordings].

Some of his notable credits include Madonna’s “Beautiful Scars” [Interscope Records], Jazmine Sullivan’s “Brand New” [RCA Records], Lily Allen’s “Sheezus” [Parlophone Records] and Tinashe’s “Bet” [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, Aalegra is expected to release her first studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

Current single “Emotional” – now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets – was produced by Robert “RZA” Diggs.

The still-untitled CD boasts other alliances with No I.D. (Estelle, Jhene Aiko), James Fauntleroy (Beyonce, Mariah Carey), Sam Dew (Rihanna, Jessie Ware), Ilsey Juber (Kaskade, Pia Mia) and Clarence Coffee Jr. (Sia, Kylie Minogue).

Elijah Blake debuts new single “I Just Wanna”

Elijah Blake has debuted his new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the official audio clip for “I Just Wanna” to his Vevo channel on Monday (March 16, 2015).

“I Just Wanna” was written by Blake along with Andrew Swanson, Colby Zinser, Lyrica Anderson, Floyd Bentley and Anthony Williams.

The Djemba Djema-produced track is lifted from the artist’s debut album, “Songs About Melody,” out soon via ARTium and Def Jam Recordings.

Other producers associated with the project are No I.D. (Jhene Aiko, Snoh Aalegra), Two Inch Punch (Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware), Tiago Carvalho (Brandy, James Fauntleroy) and Chris Loco (Kwabs, Emeli Sande).

On songwriting front, Blake has contributed the next releases by Rihanna [SRP Records] and Jordin Sparks [Larger Than Life Records].

His previous credits include Usher’s “Climax” [RCA Records], Justin Bieber’s “Thought of You” [Island Records], Cover Drive’s “Headphones” [Polydor Records] and Keyshia Cole’s “I Choose You” [Geffen Records].

Snoh Aalegra is out with the music video for her new single.

The Swedish singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for the RZA-produced “Emotional” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (March 12, 2015).

“Emotional” – which was co-written by Ilsey Juber and Clarence Coffee Jr – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Video treatment was handled by British director Sarah Chatfield, whose other credits include Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation” [Republic Records] and The Saturdays’ “What About Us” [Fascination / Polydor Records].

Aalegra’s debut studio collection will be released later this year via Sony Music Entertainment imprint Epic Records, which is also home to artists including Mariah Carey, Tamar Braxton, Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony.

Furthermore, the still-untitled project and follow-up to 2014’s “There Will Be Sunshine” EP is executive produced Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson.

Snoh Aalegra announces new single “Emotional”

Snoh Aalegra has announced the details for her new single.

The singer/songwriter dubbed “Emotional” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming debut album and follow-up to 2014’s EP “There Will Be Sunshine.”

“Emotional” – which was written by Ilsey Juber and Clarence Coffee Jr. and produced by RZA – will be available for download from 11 February via iTunes in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment imprint Epic Records.

Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson serves as the executive producer for Aalegra’s first studio collection. The Hip Hop and R&B hitmaker is also overseeing the careers of Def Jam recording artists Jhene Aiko and Elijah Blake.

Jhene Aiko is out with a new music video online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Spotless Mind” to her official Vevo page on Thursday (January 22, 2014).

“Spotless Mind” was co-written and produced by regular collaborator Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson, who also contributed to the next projects by Elijah Blake [Def Jam Recordings] and Snoh Aalegra [Epic Records].

The track is lifted from Aiko’s debut album, “Souled Out,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

Other musicians backing Aiko on “Souled Out” are Fisticuffs (Miguel, Jazmine Sullivan), Clams Casino (Mikky Ekko, FKA twigs), Key Wane (Beyonce, Ariana Grande) and Dot da Genius (WZRD, Kid Cudi).

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “Wading” to her official YouTube page on Saturday (December 13, 2014).

“Wading” is lifted from the artist’s debut album, “Souled Out,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

Production duties on “Wading” were handled by Dot da Genius, who also teamed with Aiko on “Souled Out” track “Limbo Limbo Limbo.”

Elijah Blake has revealed the artwork for his upcoming mini-album.

The R&B singer/songwriter – born Sean Fenton – is scheduled to release “Drift” on September 30 via ARTium Records / Def Jam Recordings.

The highly-anticipated project will be executive produced by Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson, whose extensive resume includes works for Common [Def Jam], Kanye West [Roc-A-Fella], Toni Braxton [Motown] and Jhene Aiko [ARTium].

Other EP contributors are Warren “Oak” Felder (K. Michelle, Alicia Keys), Andrew “Pop” Wansel (Trey Songz, Chris Brown), Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese (Drake, The Weeknd) and Tiago Carvalho (Ina Wroldsen, James Arthur).
