Brandy reunites with LaShawn Daniels, Harvey Mason Jr. for new collaboration

American singer, songwriter, and actress Brandy Norwood (known mononymously as Brandy) has reunited with Harvey Mason Jr. and LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels for a new collaboration.

Mason Jr. previously co-produced and co-wrote “Truthfully” alongside Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Marc Nelson, and Brad Gilderman. The track appears on Brandy’s sophomore studio collection, “Never Say Never” (1998), which peaked to number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Meanwhile, Daniels is responsible for co-writing fan favorites including “Fall” and “Nothing,” as well as international hit singles “The Boy is Mine” (featuring Monica), “Top of the World” (featuring Mase) and “What About Us.”

Brandy, on the other hand, is scheduled to release her seventh album – featuring further contributions from Darhyl “DJ” Camper, Kelly Rowland, Fantasia, and Jazmine Sullivan – later this year via Primary Wave / eOne Music.

The still-untitled project follows 2012’s “Two Eleven,” which topped the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and spawned two singles in the shape of “Wildest Dreams” and the Chris Brown-featuring “Put it Down.”

Fantasia Barrino premieres music video for new single “When I Met You”

Fantasia Barrino has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “When I Met You” to her Vevo channel on Friday (January 27, 2017).

The track was co-written by Priscilla Renea, whose recent credits include Sabrina Carpenter’s “Thumbs,” Nick Jonas’ “Touch,” Charlie Puth’s “River,” K. Michele’s “Time,” Fifth Harmony’s “Write on Me,” and Mariah Carey’s “Infinity.”

Production duties on “When I Met You” were collectively handled by Theron “Neff-U” Feemster (David Guetta, Tori Kelly, Demi Lovato) and Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, Keyshia Cole, Vanessa Carlton).

Fantasia’s latest studio collection “The Definiton Of …” – featuring previous singles “No Time for It” and “Sleeping With the One I Love” – is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The project also delivers alliances with J-Roc (Kat Dahlia), Brian Kennedy (Lady GaGa), Paris Jones (Usher), Rock City (Fergie), Stacy Barthe (Rihanna), Audra Mae (Kelly Clarkson), Scott Hoffman (Tinashe) and GRADES (Dua Lipa).

Fantasia unveils new single “No Time for It”

Fantasia has unveiled her new single online.

The singer and actress posted “No Time for It” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (January 07, 2016).

Production duties on “No Time for It” were handled by Brian Kennedy, whose resume include further works with Chris Brown (“Don’t Wake Me Up”), Brandy (“Fall”), Kelly Clarkson (“Mr. Know It All”), and Rihanna (“Disturbia”).

The track also marks the first promotional cut from Fantasia’s upcoming fifth album under 19 Recordings and RCA Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Side Effects of You,” which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Lose to Win” and “Without Me.”

Sevyn Streeter drafts Chris Brown for new single “Don’t Kill the Fun”

Sevyn Streeter has confirmed the title for her new single.

The R&B songbird christened “Don’t Kill the Fun” as the first promotional cut from her debut album, which will be released next year via Atlantic Records.

“Don’t Kill the Fun” features guest vocals from Chris Brown, who previously teamed with Streeter on several singles including “Fine China,” “Yeah 3x,” “Next to You,” “Wet the Bed” and “It Won’t Stop.”

Other musicians backing Streeter on the highly-anticipated LP are Mansur Zafr (Ashanti, Keri Hilson), Tiffany Fred (Zendaya, Jennifer Hudson), Da Internz (Ciara, Nicki Minaj) and Eric Bellinger (Usher, Teyana Taylor).

On the songwriting front, Streeter recently co-wrote “Keep Us Together” for Jessie J along with Cory Rooney and Louis Biancaniello. The track appears on the British artist’s third album, “Sweet Talker,” out now via iTunes.

Her other credits include Ariana Grande (“The Way”), Kelly Rowland (“Put Your Name On It”), Alicia Keys (“New Day”), Trey Songz (“International Serious”), Brandy (“Slower”), Fantasia (“Get it Right”) and Tamar Braxton (“Pieces”).

Michelle Williams reveals new album “Journey to Freedom” credits

Michelle Williams has revealed the songwriting credits for her upcoming album.

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release her fourth studio collection “Journey to Freedom” on September 9 via Entertainment One Music.

Current single “Say Yes” – which features Beyonce and Kelly Rowland – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

“Journey to Freedom” was executive produced by Harmony “H-Money” Samuels, who also worked on the next projects by Jasmine V [Interscope], Teyana Taylor [Def Jam Recordings] and Jojo [Atlantic].

On the songwriting front, the follow-up to 2008’s “Unexpected” boasts contributions from Carmen Reece, Al Sherrod Lambert, Courtney Harrell, Lonny Bereal, David Brown, and Lecrae Moore.

Tamia inks new deal with Def Jam Recordings

Tamia has inked a new deal with Def Jam Recordings.

The Universal Music Group imprint is also home to artists including Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Teyana Taylor, and Jhene Aiko.

Meanwhile, the yet to be titled sixth LP by the Canadian singer/songwriter is expected to be released later this year.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Beautiful Surprise,” which debuted at number twenty six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Among the contributors on the highly-anticipated studio collection are Da Internz (Kelly Rowland, Jazmine Sullivan), Claude Kelly (Whitney Houston, Faith Evans) and Chuck Harmony (Toni Braxton, Fantasia Barrino).

Jessica Sanchez hits the studio with Beau Dozier

Jessica Sanchez has recently recorded new material with Beau Dozier.

Dozier is known for helming “Anything” by Jojo [Blackground Records], “Stupid Shit” by Girlicious [Interscope Records], “Don’t Ask Why” by Vanessa Hudgens [Hollywood Records] and “Flip the Script” by Prima J [Geffen Records].

His songwriting and production resume also includes works for Beyonce [Columbia Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records], Nicole Scherzinger [RCA Records] and Guy Sebastian [Sony Music Australia].

Sanchez is currently working on her second studio collection, which is expected to be released later this year.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Me, You & The Music,” which features hit single “Tonight” featuring Ne-Yo.

It will also yield collaborations with Stargate (Rihanna, Christina Milian), Sia (Cheryl Cole, Mikky Ekko), Ryan “RyKeyz” Williamson (Little Mix, Fantasia Barrino) and Roahn “First Born” Hylton (Candice Glover, Keyshia Cole).
