Meleni Smith, also known by her stage name Polly A., is an American singer-songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She is known for her singles “The Brooklyn Sun,” “Denial,” “Pick Your Poison,” “Nature,” “Meet Me in the Bathroom” and “Happy,” which was featured on the original motion picture soundtrack “Hitch” and later on covered by Natasha Bedingfield.

On the songwriting front, Smith has co-penned tracks for Alicia Keys (“Love is My Disease”), J. Cole (“Crooked Smile”), Selena Gomez (“Bang Bang Bang”), Nadine Coyle (“Feels Like Love”), Jordin Sparks (“Left … Right”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Satellite”), and Kat Dahlia (“Mirror”).

She also collaborated with top producers and fellow songwriters including Soulshock & Karlin, Frankie Storm, Toby Gad, Priscilla Renea, Salaam Remi, Crada, Kwame Holland, Syience, Jonas Jeberg, Fernando Garibay, Happy Perez, Boi-1da, Quiz & Larossi, Dave Tozer, Chuck Harmony, and Stargate.

Her latest single “Ghetto Gold Dream” – which was produced by regular collaborator Synematik – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with 222 Records and Interscope Records.

Lea Michele reunites with Ali Tamposi for sophomore album

Lea Michele has reunited with Ali Tamposi for her upcoming sophomore album.

“Evening writing session for album number two with Amanda and @AliTamposi, having the most fun recording this album… I’m so excited about it,” Michele posted to her official Instagram account.

Tamposi previously co-wrote “On My Way” for Michele along with Fernando Garibay and Clarence Coffee Jr. Production duties on the track were handled by The Monsters and The Strangerz.

Some of Tamposi’s other notable credits are Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” [RCA], Beyonce’s “Save the Hero” [Columbia], Alex and Sierra’s “Little Do You Know” [Syco Music] and Ciara’s “Overdose” [Epic Records].

Meanwhile, Michele is expected to release her sophomore studio collection later this year under Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Louder,” which peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Kylie Minogue debuts Fernando Garibay-produced songs

Kylie Minogue has debuted four new songs online.

The Australian singer/songwriter posted the Fernando Garibay-produced “Glow,” “Wait,” “Break This Heartbreak” and “Chasing Ghosts” to her official SoundCloud page on Wednesday (September 24, 2014).

These songs are part of a mini-film played at the beginning of her ‘Kiss Me Once’ world tour, which opened recently in Liverpool (United Kingdom).

Garibay previously co-wrote and produced works for Enrique Iglesias (“I’m Not in Love”), Pussycat Dolls (“Bottle Pop”), Paradiso Girls (“Who’s My Bitch?”), Shakira (“Chasing Shadows”) and Jordin Sparks (“Save Me”).

Among the other artists he collaborated with are Lady Gaga [Interscope Records], Britney Spears [RCA Records], Sia [Monkey Puzzle Records], Natalia Kills [Cherrytree Records] and Starshell [Matriarch Records].

Minogue’s last studio album “Kiss Me Once” peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and number thirty one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also spawned hit singles “Into the Blue” and “I Was Gonna Cancel.”

Lea Michele has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“On My Way” – produced by The Monsters & The Strangerz along with Kuk Harrell – marks the second promotional single from the artist’s debut album, “Louder,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The track – now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets – was written by Ali Tamposi along with Fernando Garibay, Macrus Lomax, Jordan Johnson, Stefan Johnson, and Clarence Coffee.

Video treatment was handled by Hannah Lux Davis, whose credits include Tinashe’s “2 On” [RCA Records], Paris Hilton’s “Good Time” [Republic Records] and Jason Derulo’s “Marry Me” [Beluga Heights / Warner Bros. Records].

“Louder” boasts further productions and songwriting contributions from Sia Furler (Carly Rae Jepsen, Rita Ora), Stargate (Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland), Benny Blanco (Rihanna, Katy Perry) and Chris Braide (Beyonce, Lana Del Rey).

Lea Michele has teamed up with Hannah Lux Davis for her next video.

“On My Way” – produced by The Monsters and the Strangerz – marks the second promotional single from the artist’s debut album, “Louder,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The track was written by Ali Tamposi, Fernando Garibay, Jordan Johnson, Stefan Johnson, and Clarence Coffee Jr.

Hannah Lux Davis has previously directed clips for Miley Cyrus [RCA Records], Ciara [Epic Records], Fifth Harmony [Syco Music], Jay Sean [Republic Records] and Delta Goodrem [Sony Music Australia].

Shakira has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Empire” marks the second promotional single from the Columbian singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Shakira,” out now via RCA Records.

The track was co-written by Ina Wroldsen, whose notable credits include Shontelle’s “Impossible” [Motown Records], Cover Drive’s “Twilight” [Polydor Records] and The Wanted’s “I Found You” [Island Records].

Production duties were handled by Steve Mac, who is also responsible for The Saturdays’ “30 Days” [Polydor Records], James Blunt’s “Satellites” [Atlantic Records] and Union J’s “Carry You” [Syco / RCA Records].

Shakira’s latest album features additional collaborations with Sia Furler (Britney Spears, Katy Perry), Livvi Franc (Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis), Fernando Garibay (Lea Michele, Sean Paul) and Max Martin (Kelis, Avril Lavigne).

Shakira has revealed the official credits for her upcoming album.

The Columbian singer/songwriter is scheduled to release the self-titled project on March 25 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

New single “Empire” is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets. The track was co-written by Ina Wroldsen (Britney Spears, Pixie Lott) and produced by Steve Mac (Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis).

Other album producers include Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Henry “Cirkut” Walther, Mathieu “Billboard” Jomphe, Michael Busbee, Greg Kurstin, Nasri Atweh, Adam Messinger, John Hill, and Tom “Kid Harpoon” Hull.

On the songwriting front, the follow-up to 2010’s “Sale el Sol” boasts contributions from Max Martin, Sia Furler, Fernando Garibay, Livvi Franc, Hillary Lindsey, Erik Hassle, Mark Bright, and Chantel Kreviazuk.
