Anne-Marie teases return with sophomore studio album

Anne-Marie has teased fans with her upcoming sophomore studio album.

“I’M BACK! #AM2,” the British singer/songwriter (born Anne-Marie Nicholson) posted to Instagram on Monday (27 January 2020).

Anne-Marie’s debut studio album, 2018’s “Speak Your Mind,” peaked to number three on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles “Alarm,” “Ciao Adios,” “Heavy,” “Then,” “Friends,” “2002” and “Perfect to Me.”

Among the producers backing Anne-Marie on her new album are TMS (Jess Glynne, Sinead Harnett), Jonas Jeberg (Tinashe, Era Istrefi), Fred Ball (Raye, Kevin Garrett), Louis Bell (Halsey, Rita Ora), Jussifer (Bebe Rexha, Kim Petras), Chris Loco (Kamille, Emeli Sande) and Jimmy Napes (Madonna, Alicia Keys).

On the songwriting front, Anne-Marie has worked with Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett (Tamera Foster, Craig David), Eyelar Mirzazadeh (Demi Lovato, Kara Marni), Tayla Parx (Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly), Jennifer Decilveo (Birdy, Dan Caplen) and Emily Warren (Dua Lipa, Charli XCX).

Dua Lipa announces details for new single “Physical”

Dua Lipa has announced the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Physical” as her next promotional cut and will release it on January 30 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Dua Lipa alongside Sarah Hudson (Katy Perry, Rita Ora), Clarence Coffee Jr. (Justin Bieber, Chris Brown) and Jason Evigan (David Guetta, Nick Jonas).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dua Lipa’s upcoming sophomore album “Future Nostalgia” – featuring lead single “Don’t Start Now” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Warner Bros. Records.

The highly-anticipated project reportedly features additional songwriting contributions from from Julia Michaels, Tove Lo, Kennedi Lykken, Tayla Parx, Kamille, Sarah Aarons, Ilsey Juber, Jozzy, Sasha Sloan, and Lindy Robbins.

On the production front, Dua Lipa has worked with Koz, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Grades, King Henry, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Max Martin, Joel Little, Fred Ball, Danja, Supa Dups, Metro Boomin’, John Ryan, and Sly.

Alicia Keys has revealed the artwork and release date for her upcoming album.

The American singer, songwriter, and record producer will release her seventh studio collection, “A.L.I.C.I.A,” on March 20 via RCA Records.

Current promotional single “Underdog” – which was co-written by Ed Sheeran alongside Johnny McDaid, Amy Wadge, Jonny Coffer, and Foy Vance – is now available via Apple Music and all other digital streaming outlets.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Here” reportedly boasts additional songwriting contributions from Tricky Stewart, Pierre Medor, Jeremiah Bethea, Emeli Sande, Linda Perry, Arrow Benjamin, and Fred Ball.

The track was co-written by Sebastian Kole, whose other credits include Alessia Cara’s “Here,” Brandy’s “Freedom Rings,” Sevyn Streeter’s “Whatchusay,” Leon Bridges’ “Go Crazy,” and Kara Marni’s “Golden.”

Production duties on “Time Machine” were collectively handled by Keys alongside Rob Knox, who is also responsible for Justin Timberlake’s “Morning Light,” Prince Royce’s “Paris on a Sunny Day,” Jamie Foxx’s “Winner,” Rihanna’s “Cold Case Love,” and Leona Lewis’ “Don’t Let Me Down.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Keys’ upcoming – and currently untitled – seventh studio album is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

Paloma Faith enlists Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Fred Ball for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Paloma Faith has enlisted Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and Fred Ball for a new collaboration.

The songwriting and production duo recently helmed Raye’s last single “Love Me Again,” which peaked to number fifty-five on the UK Singles Chart.

Jin Jin’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Craig David (“Do You Miss Me Much”), Sigala (“We Got Love”), Jess Glynne (“All I Am”), Jax Jones (“You Don’t Know Me”), Yebba Smith (“Evergreen”), Little Mix (“Grown”), Rita Ora (“Proud”), Don Diablo (“Brave”) and Jonas Blue (“Alien”).

Meanwhile, Fred Ball’s production credits include Toni Braxton’s “Please,” Mariah Carey’s “One Mo ‘Gen,” Harloe’s “Rivers Run Dry,” Justine Skye’s “Heaven,” Maeta’s “Babygirl,” Zara Larsson’s “One Mississippi,” Roses Gabor’s “Turkish Delight,” and Jessie Ware’s “Slow Me Down.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Faith is currently working on her upcoming fifth studio album under Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Maeta releases debut EP “Do Not Disturb”

American singer/songwriter Maeta Hall, known mononymously as Maeta, has released her debut EP online.

“Do Not Disturb” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Besides lead single “Babygirl” (which was co-written by Livvi Franc and produced by Fred Ball), the EP also features five new songs in the shape of “Press Play,” “Payback,” “You Lie,” “Kind of Fool” and “Too Good.”

Other musicians backing Maeta on “Do Not Disturb” are Zaire Kaolo, Trevor Brown, Jaquetta Singleton, Murda Beatz, Starrah, P2J, Miguel Lagos, Julian Poku-Kyei, India Perkins, SLMN, Dylan Wiggins, and The Rascals.
