Little Mix debut new single “Black Magic”

Little Mix - Black Magic

Little Mix have debuted their new single online.

The British girl band – consisting of members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson – posted the audio clip for “Black Magic” to their Vevo channel on Thursday (May 21, 2015).

“Black Magic” was written by Camille Purcell (Ella Henderson, Fleur East) and Ed Drewett (One Direction, Charli XCX). Production duties were handled by Henrik Barman Michelsen and  Edvard Førre Erfjord of Norwegian duo Electric.

The track also marks the first promotional cut from Little Mix’s upcoming third album under Syco Music (UK) and Columbia Records (US).

Their sophomore collection, 2013’s “Salute,” peaked to number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned hit single “Move.”

Other musicians backing Little Mix on the new album are Babyface (Sevyn Streeter, Jess Glynne), Iain James (Ella Eyre, Sinead Harnett), Future Cut (Rihanna, Livvi Franc) and Tom Aspaul (AlunaGeorge, Becky Hill).

Fleur East collaborates with Future Cut for debut album

British singer and songwriter Fleur East has collaborated with Tunde Babalola and Darren Lewis of Future Cut for her upcoming debut album.

“Fun morning in the studio with @FutureCut today! And got to meet the lovely @FleurEast,” regular Future Cut collaborator Whinnie Williams tweeted.

Future Cut have recently produced “Together” for Ella Eyre. The track is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Virgin EMI Records.

Their other credits include Stooshe’s “Black Heart” [Warner Bros Records], Laura Izibor’s “Shine” [Atlantic Records], Olly Murs’ “Dance With Me Tonight” [Epic Records] and Foxes’ “Holding On to Heaven” [RCA Records].

Meanwhile, East is expected to release her first studio collection later this year under Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music.

The still-untitled project reportedly features further productions from Cutfather (Kylie Minogue, Demi Lovato), Jack Splash (Solange, Alicia Keys), Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Craig David) and Richard Stannard (Gabrielle, Leona Lewis).

Future Cut, on the other hand, have contributed to the next projects by Little Mix [Columbia Records], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Conor Maynard [Parlophone Records] and Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor Records].

Alesha Dixon unveils music video for new single “The Way We Are”

Alesha Dixon - The Way We Are

Alesha Dixon has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

The British singer and songwriter posted the visual clip for “The Way We Are” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (May 19, 2015).

“The Way We Are” – available for download from June 21 via iTunes (UK) – was written by Dixon along with Alex James (Olly Murs, Rebecca Ferguson) and Harry Sommerdahl (Carrie Underwood, The Saturdays).

The track also marks the first promotional cut from Dixon’s upcoming fourth studio collection, which will hit stores and digital outlets later this year under her own imprint Precious Stone Records.

Other musicians backing Dixon on the follow-up to 2010’s “The Entertainer” are Future Cut (Ella Eyre, Conor Maynard), Shaznay Lewis (Stooshe, Little Mix) and Count Justice (Sevyn Streeter, Chris Brown).

Little Mix have confirmed the title for their new single.

The British group – consisting of members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson – christened “Black Magic” as the first promotional cut from their upcoming third album.

Little Mix’s second studio collection, 2013’s “Salute,” peaked to number four on the UK Albums Chart and number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

For their third album, Little Mix have reunited with TMS (Labrinth, Ella Eyre), Iain James (Craig David, Emeli Sande), Camille Purcell (Fleur East, Ella Henderson) and Future Cut (Rihanna, Melanie Fiona).

As mentioned in earlier posts, the still-untitled project will hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Syco Music 9(UK) and Columbia Records (US).

Furthermore, Little Mix co-wrote “Pretty Girls” for Britney Spears with Maegan Cottone (Demi Lovato, Olly Murs) and The Invisible Men (DJ Fresh, Rita Ora). The Iggy Azalea-assisted track is now available for download via iTunes.

Ella Eyre schedules release date for debut album “Feline”

Ella Eyre - Feline

Ella Eyre has scheduled the release date for her upcoming debut album.

The British singer/songwriter – born Ella McMahon – will release “Feline” on August 14 under Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

Current single “Together” was produced by Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola of Future Cut, who are also responsible for Lily Allen’s “Smile” [Parlophone], Little Mix’s “How Ya Doin?” [Syco] and Stooshe’s “Black Heart” [Warner Bros].

The keenly-awaited CD also includes previous singles “Deeper” (produced by Two Inch Punch), “If I Go” (co-written by Natalia Hajjara), “Comeback” (produced by Ilya KnocDown) and “Gravity” (co-written by The Invisible Men).

Other album contributors are Starsmith (Cheryl, Ellie Goulding), Jonny Lattimer (Kwabs, Rebecca Ferguson), Mark Taylor (Cher, Kylie Minogue), Paul O’Duffy (Gabrielle, Andreya Triana) and Chris Loco (Emeli Sande, Rita Ora).

Alesha Dixon has unveiled the official artwork for her new single online.

“The Way We Are” marks the first promotional cut from the British singer/songwriter’s upcoming fourth studio album.

The track – available for download from June 21 via iTunes (UK) – was written by Dixon along with Alex James (Olly Murs, Rebecca Ferguson) and Harry Sommerdahl (Carrie Underwood, The Saturdays).

Dixon’s third studio album, 2010’s “The Entertainer,” peaked to number sixteen on the UK R&B Albums Chart and delivered hit singles including the Shama Joseph-produced “Drummer Boy” and Emeli Sande-assisted “Radio.”

For her new album, the “Breathe Slow” star has teamed with former All Saints member Shaznay Lewis (Little Mix, Mutya Keisha Siobhan) and production duo Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola of Future Cut (Rihanna, Ella Eyre).

Aston Merrygold drafts Chelcee Grimes, Future Cut for debut album

British singer/songwriter Aston Merrygold has added Chelcee Grimes and Future Cut to the list of contributors for his upcoming debut album.

Grimes’ songwriting resume includes works for Fleur East [Syco Music], Karen Harding [Capitol Records], Little Mix [Columbia Records], Conor Maynard [Parlophone Records] and Tulisa Contostavlos [All Around the World].

Some of her notable credits are “Million Miles” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone] and “Walking Through the Desert” by The Saturdays [Polydor].

Meanwhile, Future Cut are known for producing and co-writing Olly Murs’ “Please Don’t Let Me Go” [Epic Records], Lily Allen’s “Smile” [Parlophone Records] and Stooshe’s “Black Heart” [Warner Bros Records].

The hitmaking duo – consisting of Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola –also contributed to the next projects by Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI], Tamera Foster [Syco Music], Whinnie Williams [Night Beach Records], Alesha Dixon [Asylum Records] and Mutya Keisha Siobhan [Polydor Records].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Merrygold is expected to release his first studio collection later this year under Warner Bros. Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly features additional alliances with The Underdogs (Ciara, Justin Timberlake), Jin Jin (MNEK, Jess Glynne), Dem Jointz (Rihanna, Madison Beer) and Lil’ Eddie (Usher, Prince Royce).
