Tourist hints at new collaboration with Kacy Hill

Tourist has hinted at a new collaboration with Kacy Hill.

“So @KacyHill likes to do handstands in the studio” he posted to his official Twitter profile on Wednesday (February 04, 2015).

It is yet to be known whether the session is intended for a future Tourist release or Hill’s debut album.

The British hitmaker – real name William Phillips – co-wrote “Stay with Me” for Sam Smith along with Jimmy Napes, which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart and peaked to number two on the US Billboard Chart.

His songwriting and production resume includes further works with Years and Years [Polydor Records], Jessie Ware [PMR Records / Island Records] and Lianne La Havas [Warner Bros. Records].

Meanwhile, Hill is expected to release her first studio collection later this year via Kanye West’s label G.O.O.D. Music.

The American record company houses other artists and musicians including John Legend, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, Benny Cassette, Jeff Bhasker, Hudson Mohawke, Mos Def and Ernest “No I.D.” Wilson.

Teyana Taylor has unveiled a new song online.

“Sorry” is expected to appear on the singer/songwriter’s upcoming debut album with G.O.O.D. Music / Def Jam Recordings.

The track was penned by songwriting team A-Plus, which consists of sisters Antea Joy Shelton and Anesha Dorene Birchett.

As previously reported, Teyana Taylor’s highly-anticipated LP will boast further collaborations with Vidal Davis (Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson) and Harmony “H-Money” Samuels (Chris Brown, LeToya Luckett).

The “Google Me” star will also feature in the upcoming BET scripted show “The Start Up” alongside Diggy Simmons and Bria Murphy.

Singer/songwriter Teyana Taylor has worked with British music producer Harmony “H-Money” Samuels for her upcoming debut album.

The still-untitled project is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / G.O.O.D. Music / Island Def Jam Recordings.

Recent songwriting and production credits by Samuels include Fantasia Barrino’s “Without Me” [RCA Records], Fifth Harmony’s “Better Together” [Epic Records] and Kelly Rowland’s “Put Your Name On It” [Republic Records].

He also confirmed placements on the next albums by Adrien Marcel [Republic Records], LeToya Luckett [eOne Music], Jasmine Villegas [Interscope Records], Jordin Sparks [RCA Records] and Ariana Grande [Republic Records].

Other musicians backing Teyana Taylor on the highly-anticipated LP are Andre Harris (Usher, Marsha Ambrosius), Vidal Davis (Ciara, Mariah Carey) and A-Plus: Anesha Birchett & Antea Shelton (Candice Glover, Jennifer Lopez).

John Legend enlists Alicia Keys, Gary Clark Jr. for ’12 Years a Slave’ soundtrack

John Legend has confirmed his role as executive producer for the upcoming motion soundtrack “12 Years a Slave.”

The British-American historical drama film – based on the 1853 autobiography “Twelve Years a Slave” by Solomon Northup – will be released in US theatres on October 18 via Fox Searchlight Pictures.

Among the artists contributing to the soundtrack are singer/songwriter Alicia Keys [RCA Records] and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. [Warner Bros. Records].

Legend co-wrote the Rodney Jerkins-produced “Listen to Your Heart” and the Stacy Barthe-assisted “When It’s All Over” from Alicia Keys’ latest album “Girl on Fire,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

His new album “Love in the Future” was released recently via G.O.O.D. Music / Columbia Records. The follow-up to 2007’s “Evolver” includes hit singles “Who Do We Think We Are (featuring Rick Ross),” “Made to Love” and “All of Me.”

John Legend drafts Toby Gad, Dave Tozer for new single ‘All of Me’

John Legend has chosen his new single.

The singer/songwriter will release “All of Me” as the next promotional single from his latest album, “Love in the Future,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / G.O.O.D. Music / Columbia Records.

The track was written by John Legend along with Toby Gad, whose credits include Alicia Keys [RCA Records], Robin Thicke [Interscope Records], Rihanna [Island Def Jam Recordings] and Beyoncé [Columbia Records].

Production duties were handled by Legend and Dave Tozer, who also worked with the likes of Kanye West [Def Jam Recordings], Jay-Z [Roc Nation Records], Estelle [New London Records] and Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records].

Australian professional photographer, music video, and film director Nabil Elderkin will be responsible for the video treatment. He previously teamed with Legend for the hit single “P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care).”

Some of Elderkin’s other credits include “Twenty Eight” by The Weeknd [Republic Records], “Novocane” by Frank Ocean [Island Def Jam Recordings] and “Wavin’ Flag” by K’Naan [A&M / Octone Records].
