Keyshia Cole enlists DJ Mustard for new single “She”

Keyshia Cole has announced the details for her new single.

The singer/songwriter dubbed “She” as the third promotional release from her upcoming sixth studio album, “Point of No Return.”

The track was produced by Dijon “DJ Mustard” McFarlane, who’s also responsible for Tinashe’s “2 On” [RCA Records], Trey Songz’ “Na Na” [Atlantic Records] and Jennifer Lopez’ “Girls” [Capitol Records].

As previously reported, “Point of No Return” will be available later this year via Universal Music Group / Interscope Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Woman to Woman,” which debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and features singles “Enough of No Love,” “Trust and Believe” and “I Choose You.”

For the highly-anticipated new LP, Cole has teamed up with producers Roahn “First Born” Hylton (Candice Glover, Nicki Minaj), Mike WiLL Made It (Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey) and Noel “Detail” Fisher (Mario, Kelly Rowland).

Album songwriters include Sean “Elijah Blake” Fenton (Ciara, Bridget Kelly), Ursula Yancy (Mack Wilds, Avery Wilson), Nayvadius “Future” Wilburn (Rihanna, Kanye West) and Lundon Knighten (Usher, Leona Lewis).

Keyshia Cole has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Next Time (Won’t Give My Heart Away)” marks the second promotional single from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming sixth studio album, “Point of No Return,” out soon via Universal Music Group / Geffen / Interscope Records.

The track was co-written and produced by Antwan “Amadeus” Thompson, who also helmed works for Chris Brown [RCA Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records] and Trey Songz [Songbook / Atlantic Records].

Video treatment was handled by Colin Tilley, whose previous credits include Zendaya’s “Replay” [Hollywood Records], Tulisa’s “Live it Up” [Island Records] and Enrique Iglesias’ “Heart Attack” [Republic Records].

“Point of No Return” serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Woman to Woman,” which debuted at number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also delivered hit singles “Enough of No Love” and “I Choose You.”

R&B singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige has recently teamed up with Sam Hook on new material for her upcoming eleventh studio album.

The extensive resume by the hit songwriter – born Samuel Jean – includes works for Chris Brown [RCA Records], Keri Hilson [Interscope Records], Ne-Yo [Motown Records] and Christina Milian [Young Money Records].

Some of his recent songwriting placements include “SmartPhones” by Trey Songz [Songbook / Atlantic Records], “Benediction” by August Alsina [Def Jam Recordings] and “Drive” by Miley Cyrus [RCA Records].

The new album by Mary J. Blige is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music Group / Matriarch / Geffen Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1),” which debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Keyshia Cole hits the studio with Lundon “Da Bridge” Knighten

R&B singer/songwriter Keyshia Cole is making music with Lundon Knighten.

The pair previously teamed up on hit single “I Choose You,” taken from Keyshia’s last studio collection, “Woman to Woman.”

The track was written by Keyshia Cole and Lundon Knighten along with Sean “Elijah Blake” Fenton and Jack Splash.

Other notable songwriting credits by Knighten include Leona Lewis’s “Can’t Breathe” [RCA Records] and Usher’s “Lemme See” [RCA Records].

She also collaborated with top producers including Jim Jonsin, DJ Khaled, Harvey Mason Jr. of The Underdogs, and Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge.

There’s been no word on what exactly the pair worked on, or whether the sessions were intended for Keyshia’s upcoming sixth album.

The still-untitled LP – which will feature productions and songwriting contributions from Mike WiLL Made It, Future, Mario Winans, and Ursula Yancy – is expected to be released later this year via Geffen Records.

Keyshia Cole recruits Mario Winans for sixth studio album

Keyshia Cole has recruited the songwriting and production services of Mario Winans for her upcoming sixth album, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Woman to Woman” [Universal Music Group / Geffen Records].

The pair previously teamed up on Diddy’s hit single “Last Night,” taken from the artist’s album “Press Play” [Warner Music Group / Bad Boy / Atlantic Records]. The track peaked at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

Winans is also known for helming songs including “Through with Love” by Destiny’s Child [Columbia Records], “I Do (Wanna Get Close to You)” by 3LW [Epic Records], “Ever Wonder” by Faith Evans [Capitol Records], “Mr. Cool” by Tamia [Elektra Records] and “Wish Your Love Away” by Brandy [RCA Records].

In addition to Winans, the new collection by Cole is expected to yield further contributions from Sean “Elijah Blake” Fenton (Ciara, Jordin Sparks), Kevin McCall (Sevyn Streeter, Chris Brown), Nayvadius “Future” Wilburn (Monica, Jennifer Lopez) and Mike WiLL Made It (Kelly Rowland, Mariah Carey).
