Teyana Taylor selects release date for sophomore album

Teyana Taylor has selected the release date for her upcoming sophomore album.

The American singer, songwriter, and actress’ second studio collection will arrive on June 22 via GOOD Music in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.

The still-untitled project is executive-produced by Kanye West, who also helmed tracks for Mariah Carey (“Stay the Night”), Janet Jackson (“My Baby”), Keyshia Cole (“I Changed My Mind”), Brandy (“Talk About Our Love”), Monica (“Knock Knock”), Alicia Keys (“You Don’t Know My Name”) and Beyonce (“Party”).

Taylor’s debut studio collection, 2014’s “VII,” debuted at number nineteen on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Maybe,” “Business” and the Chris Brown-featuring “Do Not Disturb.”

That project also delivered contributions from Harmony Samuels (“Put Your Love On”), James Fauntleroy (“Just Different”), Stacy Barthe (“Outta My League”), Eric Bellinger (“Broken Hearted Girl”), Courtney Harrell (“It Could Just Be Love”), Vidal Davis (“Sorry”) and Brian Kennedy (“Dreams”).

Kacy Hill confirms title for new single

Kacy Hill has confirmed the title for her new single.

The British singer-songwriter christened “Hard to Love” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album under Kanye West’s label GOOD (Getting Out of Your Dreams) Music and Def Jam Recordings.

“Hard to Love” follows previous single “Lions,” which was collectively produced by Jamie Hartman of Ben’s Brother and Stuart Price.

Other producers expected to appear on the album are Alex Hope (Troye Sivan), Fraser T. Smith (Craig David), Two Inch Punch (Noah Cyrus), BURNS (Charli XCX), Jon Levine (Bebe Rexha), Matt “Aqualung” Hales (Lianne La Havas), Steve Booker (Pixie Lott), Kid Harpoon (Eliza Doolittle), Luke Laird (Kacey Musgraves), Joel Little (Ellie Goulding) and Daniel Heath (Lana Del Rey).

On the songwriting front, Hill has reportedly collaborated with Natalie Hemby (Carly Rae Jepsen), Autumn Rowe (Dua Lipa), Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele), Andrew Wyatt (Lion Babe), Chelsea Lena (Sabrina Carpenter), Diana Gordon (Rita Ora) and Jonny “Ghost” Harris (Ed Sheeran).

Hill’s mini-collection “Bloo” – featuring “Foreign Fields,” “Arm’s Length” and “Shades of Blue” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Kacy Hill hits the studio with Jamie Hartman

Kacy Hill has recorded new music with Jamie Hartman.

“@KacyHill we wrote a beauty yesterday ma’am. An honour and pleasure, thank you!” the singer, songwriter, and recorded producer posted on Instagram.

Hartman’s extensive resume includes works with Marlon Roudette [Vertigo], Andy Grammar [S-Curve], Christina Aguilera [RCA], Ronan Keating [Polydor], Will Young [Island] and Delta Goodrem [Sony Music].

His recent songwriting/production credits include Anastacia’s “Army of Me” [Sony Music], Kylie Minogue’s “Your Body” [Parlophone], Marina Kaye’s “Dark Star” [Capitol] and James Bay’s “Move Together” [Republic].

Meanwhile, Hill is scheduled to release her first as-yet-untitled studio collection next year through PMR Records in conjunction with GOOD (Getting Out of Your Dreams) Music and Def Jam Recordings.

The still-untitled project reportedly boasts contributions from Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Jessie Ware), Autumn Rowe (Zendaya, Fifth Harmony) and Matthew Burns (Charli XCX, Britney Spears).

Meanwhile, Hill’s debut EP “Bloo” – featuring the Jack Garratt-produced “Foreign Fields” and Tourist-assisted “Arm’s Length” – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Kacy Hill teams up with Tourist for new song “Arm’s Length”

Kacy Hill has debuted a new song online.

The British model, singer, and songwriter posted the audio clip for “Arm’s Length” to her YouTube channel on Thursday (October 08, 2015).

“Arm’s Length” was co-written and produced by William “Tourist” Phillips, whose other credits include Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” [Capitol], Jessie Ware’s “Pieces” [Island] and Lapsley’s “Hurt Me” [XL].

Hill’s debut mini-collection “Bloo” – featuring further contributions from Jack Garratt, Casey Barth, and Riley Knapp – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings.

Teyana Taylor confirms Andre Harris, Vidal Davis for debut album

Singer/songwriter Teyana Taylor has confirmed Andre Harris and Vidal Davis for her upcoming debut album, scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / GOOD Music / Def Jam Records.

The songwriting and production duo – better known as Dre & Vidal – are responsible for helming tracks including “So Simple” by Alicia Keys [Sony Music Entertainment / J Records], “Lullaby” by Mariah Carey [Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings] and “Your Hands” by Marsha Ambrosius [Sony Music Entertainment / J Records].

Meanwhile, Teyana Taylor recently featured on two tracks – “Sin City” and “Bliss” – from the GOOD Music compilation album “Cruel Summer.” That release debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart, selling 205,000 copies in its first week. The album also reached the top 10 of charts in Australia, Canada, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
