Katy B drops new song “Little Red Light”

Katy B has dropped a new song online.

The British singer/songwriter – born Kathleen Brien – posted “Little Red Light” to her official SoundCloud page on Tuesday (August 19, 2014).

The track was produced by Geeneus along with Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, whose credits include Maverick Sabre’s “Emotion (Ain’t Nobody)” [Island Records] and Nelly Furtado’s “Don’t Leave Me” [Interscope Records].

In related news, Katy B recently wrote songs for Becky Hill’s upcoming debut album along with regular collaborator Geeneus.

She also teamed up with Gorgon City to record a new song entitled “Lover Like You.” The Jimmy Napes-assisted track will appear on the British production duo’s first studio collection, “Sirens,” out on October 6 via Black Butter Records in partnership with Universal Music Group / Virgin EMI Records.

Katy B has released the music video for her new single online.

“Still” is lifted from the British singer/songwriter’s sophomore album, “Little Red,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Rinse / Columbia Records.

The track was produced by Gordon “Geeneus” Warren and Fraser T. Smith, who also worked with the likes of Adele [XL Recordings], Britney Spears [RCA Records], Rita Ora [Columbia Records] and Taio Cruz [Island Records].

Video treatment was handled by Sophie Muller, whose credits include Robin Thicke’s “Feel Good” [Interscope Records], Birdy’s “Wings” [Atlantic Records] and Tom Odell’s “Hold Me” [Columbia Records].

Katy B has announced the details of her new single.

The British singer/songwriter – born Kathleen Anne Brien – christened “Still” as the next promotional single from her latest album, “Little Red,” out now via Sony Music Entertainment / Rinse / Columbia Records.

The track was written by Katy B along with Gordon Warren and Fraser T. Smith, whose recent credits include Birdy’s “Standing in the Way of Light” [Atlantic Records] and Ellie Goulding’s “Hearts without Chains” [Polydor Records].

He also worked on the next albums by Sam Smith [PMR Records], Ella Eyre [Virgin EMI Records], Kwabs [Atlantic Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records], Bebe Rexha [Warner Bros. Records] and Charli XCX [Asylum Records].

“Still” serves as the follow-up to previous release “Crying for No Reason,” which peaked at number five on the Official UK Singles Chart.

In addition to Smith and Warren, “Little Red” boasts further contributions from Al Shux (Leona Lewis, Ella Henderson), The Invisible Men (Conor Maynard, Nicola Roberts) and Guy Chambers (Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams).
