Fefe Dobson announces new single “In Better Hands”

Fefe Dobson has announced the title of her new single.

The Canadian singer/songwriter dubbed “In Better Hands” as the second promotional single from her upcoming fourth studio album, “Firebird.”

The track was written by Fefe Dobson along with Edwin “Lil’ Eddie” Serrano, whose credits include “A Million Ways to Love You” by Charlie Wilson [RCA Records] and “All I See” by Kylie Minogue [Parlophone Records].

Production duties were handled by Hasham Hussein and Denarius Motes, who are also responsible for Celine Dion’s “Loved Me Back to Life” [Columbia Records] and Guy Sebastian’s “Summer Love” [Sony Music Australia].

“Firebird” serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “Joy,” which featured contributions from Kara DioGuardi, Jonathan Rotem, and Claude Kelly. It also delivered three hit singles in the shape of “Ghost,” “Stuttering” and “Can’t Breathe.”

Jasmine Villegas works with Harmony “H-Money” Samuels for debut album

Jasmine Villegas has tapped the production services of Harmony “H-Money” Samuels for her upcoming debut album with Interscope Records.

Some of his recent credits include “I Like It” by Sevyn Streeter [CBE / Atlantic Records], “Right There” by Ariana Grande featuring Big Sean [Republic Records] and “Lose to Win” by Fantasia Barrino [RCA Records].

The British songwriter and producer is also known for collaborating with the likes of Kelly Rowland [Republic Records], Chris Brown [RCA Records], Keyshia Cole [Geffen Records] and Ne-Yo [Motown Records].

Meanwhile, Villegas’ still-untitled collection is expected to yield further contributions from Dreamlab: Leah Haywood & Daniel Pringle (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj), Kevin McCall (Sevyn Streeter, Wynter Gordon), Taurian “Adonis” Shropshire (Ciara, Danity Kane) and Ester Dean (Rihanna, Bridget Kelly).

Jasmine Villegas has released the music video for her new single online.

“Paint a Smile” marks the second promotional single from her upcoming as-yet-untitled debut album, which is due later this year via Mosci Music.

The track was co-written by Edwin “Lil’ Eddie” Serrano, whose credits include “Been Lying” by Rita Ora [Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records], “Rainbow” by Jessie J [Universal Music Group / Republic Records] and “All I See” by Kylie Minogue [EMI Music Group / Parlophone Records].

Production credits were handled by Hasham “Sham” Hussein and Denarius “Motesart” Motes, who are also responsible for “Is Anybody Out There?” by K’Naan featuring Nelly Furtado [Warner Music Group / Octone Records], “Summer Love” by Guy Sebastian [Sony Music Entertainment Australia], and “Rock, Paper, Scissors” by Melanie Fiona [Universal Music Group / Republic Records].
