Kelis teams up with Disclosure for new song “Watch Your Step”

American singer/songwriter Kelis has teamed up with Disclosure on a new song entitled “Watch Your Step,” which is slotted for inclusion on the British production duo’s upcoming third studio album, “Energy.”

Scheduled to arrive on August 28 via Island Records UK, “Energy” features additional guest appearances from Kehlani (“Birthday”), Common (“Riverie”), Amine (“My High”),  Channel Tres (“Lavender”), Mick Jenkins (“Who Knew”), Blik Bassy (“Ce N’est Pas”) and Fatoumata Diawara (“Douha”).

Disclosure’s last studio album, 2015’s “Caracal,” topped the UK Albums Chart and peaked to number nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. It also spawned singles including “Omen” (featuring Sam Smith), “Holding On” (featuring Gregory Portman) and “Magnets” (featuring Lorde).

Meanwhile, Kelis’s next project – which is expected to arrive later this year – reportedly boasts productions and songwriting contributions from Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike, Daniel “Grades” Traynor, Rowan “Loxe” Perkinson, and Dayo “Dyo” Olatunji.

Khalid confirms details for new single “Know Your Worth”

Khalid has confirmed the details for his new single.

The American singer/songwriter dubbed “Know Your Worth” as his next promotional cut and will release it on January 30 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

“Know Your Worth” was collectively helmed by Jimmy Napes alongside siblings Guy and Howard Lawrence of Disclosure, who have previously worked with Sam Smith (“Latch”), Mary J. Blige (“Right Now”), The Weeknd (“Nocturnal”), Miguel (“Good Intentions”) and Lion Babe (“Hourglass”).

As mentioned in various media outlets, Khalid’s upcoming third studio collection – featuring previous singles “Up All Night” and “Eleven” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The still-untitled project follows 2019’s “Free Spirit,” which topped the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles four singles in the shape of “Better,” “My Bad,” “Talk” and “Right Back.”

Lianne La Havas shares music video for “Tokyo”

Lianne La Havas has shared a new music video online.

The British singer/songwriter posted the Ravi Dhar-directed clip for “Tokyo” to her YouTube channel on Wednesday (August 09, 2017).

The track was co-written and produced by regular collaborator Matthew “Aqualung” Hales, whose resume boasts further works with Sara Bareilles (“Islands”), Birdy (“Blown Apart”), Rebecca Ferguson (“I Choose You”), Kandace Springs (“Chosen”), Pixie Geldof (“Escape Route”), Lea Michele (“Don’t Look Down”), Paloma Faith (“Flood”) and Bat for Lashes (“In Your Bed”).

Havas’ current studio collection “Blood” – featuring singles “Unstoppable” and “What You Don’t Do” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Is Your Love Big Enough?” boasts additional contributions from Al Shux (Kelela), Sam Dew (Marsha Ambrosius), Di Genius (Tanika), Shea Taylor (Bridget Kelly), Jimmy Napes (Alicia Keys), Howard Lawrence (Frances) and Mark Batson (Emeli Sande).

Frances premieres “Grow” music video

Frances has premiered a new music video online.

The British singer/songwriter – real name Sophie Cooke – posted the visual clip for “Grow” to her Vevo channel on Sunday (March 19, 2017).

This video was helmed in collaboration with Domestic Abuse Charity, “Refuge,” to help raise awareness of domestic violence and the work that “Refuge” does to help and support victims.

Frances’ debut album “Things I’ve Never Said” – featuring singles “Don’t Worry About Me,” “Don’t Matter” and “Say it Again” – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The highly-anticipated project boasts songwriting contributions from Jimmy Napes (Clean Bandit), Rachel Furner (Little Mix), Ollie Green (JONES), Jonny Lattimer (Izzy Bizu) and Dan McDougall (Bruno Major).

Album producers include Steve Fitzmaurice (Sam Smith), Two Inch Punch (Ella Eyre), Greg Kurstin (Adele), Mojam Music (Fleur East), Dave McCracken (Elle King), RITUAL (Dua Lipa), Mark Ralph (AlunaGeorge), Howard Lawrence (Liv Dawson) and Craze & Hoax (Maverick Sabre).

Liv Dawson has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer-songwriter posted the visual clip for “Searching” to her Vevo channel on Tuesday (February 28, 2017).

“Searching” – now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming outlets – was written by Jimmy Napes alongside the song’s producers Guy and Howard Lawrence of Disclosure.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Dawson is currently working on her upcoming debut album under Method Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further productions from TMS, Knightstarr, Phairo, Richard “Biffco” Stannard, Nexus, Two Inch Punch, GRADES, Fred Cox, Chris Leonard, and Mojam.

On the songwriting front, Dawson has worked with Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Sam Romans, Frances, Levi Lennox, Amy Wadge, Bruno Major, Dayo Olatunji, Grace Barker, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Laura Dockrill.

Frances has delivered her new single online.

“No Matter” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was produced by Mustafa Omer and James Murray of Mojam Music, who are also responsible for Naughty Boy’s “Should’ve Been Me,” Emeli Sande’s “Hurts,” Conor Maynard’s “Talkin’ About,” Gorgon City’s “Imagination,” James Arthur’s “Get Down,” and Sam Smith’s “Like I Can.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Frances – real name Sophie Cooke – will release her first studio collection “Things I’ve Never Said” – featuring singles “Say it Again” and “Don’t Worry About Me” – on March 17 via Cookie Records.

Taya has released her new single online.

“Deeper” is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Tom Havelock, whose other credits include Sinead Harnett (“Say What You Mean”), Ben Haenow (“Brother”), Kwabs (“Forgiven”) and Ginny Blackmore (“Right Spot”).

Production duties on “Deeper” were handled by Al Shux, whose resume boasts further works with BANKS (“Fuck With Myself”), Elle Varner (“Oh What a Night”), Cheryl (“Hummingbird”) and Leona Lewis (“Sugar”).

Meanwhile, Taya is expected to release her debut EP of the same name – featuring previous singles “Got Me Wondering,” “Fingerprints” and “Sweet Waste of Time” – on November 18 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The British singer-songwriter – real name Taylor Fowlis – recently provided guest vocals on Redlight’s “Here With Me” [Atlantic Records] and Zac Samuel’s “Never Letting Go” [Polydor Records].

She has also recorded new music with the likes of Diztortion, Nicola Roberts, Chris Loco, Ina Wroldsen, Digital Farm Animals, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Howard Lawrence, Starsmith, Chiara Hunter, James Newman, Maiday, and Parker Ighile.

Frances has confirmed the details for her upcoming debut album.

The British singer-songwriter – real name Sophie Cooke – christened her first studio collection “Things I’ve Never Said” and will release it on March 17, 2017 via Capitol Records in partnership with Method Records.

Current single “Say it Again” – which was co-written and produced by Greg Kurstin – is now available for download via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
