Rihanna recruits The-Dream for new album

Rihanna has recruited The-Dream for her upcoming eighth studio album.

The hitmaker – born Terius Nash – previously teamed up with the artist on hit singles “Umbrella,” “Hard (featuring Jeezy)” and “Rockstar 101.”

Some of The-Dream’s recent songwriting and production credits are “XO” (performed by Beyonce), “Skirt” (performed by Kylie Minogue), “Crazy Girl” (performed by Rita Ora), and “Skeletons” (performed by Tulisa).

He also confirmed placements on the next albums by Mariah Carey [Island Def Jam Recordings], Katharine McPhee [Columbia Records], Nicole Scherzinger [RCA Records] and Scotty Rebel [Motown Records].

Meanwhile, the follow-up to 2012’s “Unapologetic” is expected to be released later this year via Universal Music / SRP / Island Def Jam Recordings.

In addition to The-Dream, the “What Now” star also enlisted Da Internz (Tinashe, Candice Glover), Naughty Boy (Labrinth, Sam Smith), DJ Mustard (will.i.am, Trey Songz), Detail (Mario, Lil Wayne), and Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Cheryl Cole).

Rihanna has worked with Da Internz for her upcoming eighth album.

The new collection is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / SRP Music Group / Roc Nation / Island Def Jam Recordings.

The Hip Hop and R&B production duo – consisting of members Marcos “Kosine” Palacios and Ernest “Tuo” Clark – have previously collaborated with the Bajan beauty on “Talk That Talk” track “Birthday Cake.”

They have also confirmed placements on the next albums by Usher [RCA Records], Jojo [Atlantic Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records], Marsha Ambrosius [RCA Records] and Trey Songz [Atlantic Records].

Some of their recent credits include “Coulda Been Me” by Candice Glover [Interscope Records], “Sex on the Ceiling” by Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records] and “Where Have You Been” by The-Dream f/ Kelly Rowland [Island Records].

Other hitmakers backing Rihanna on the highly-anticipated LP are Noel “Detail” Fisher (Mario, Christina Aguilera), DJ Mustard (will.i.am, Trey Songz), Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Nicki Minaj) and Naughty Boy (Kat Dahlia, Lily Allen).

Teyana Taylor works with Harmony Samuels for debut album

Singer/songwriter Teyana Taylor has worked with British music producer Harmony “H-Money” Samuels for her upcoming debut album.

The still-untitled project is scheduled for release later this year via Universal Music Group / G.O.O.D. Music / Island Def Jam Recordings.

Recent songwriting and production credits by Samuels include Fantasia Barrino’s “Without Me” [RCA Records], Fifth Harmony’s “Better Together” [Epic Records] and Kelly Rowland’s “Put Your Name On It” [Republic Records].

He also confirmed placements on the next albums by Adrien Marcel [Republic Records], LeToya Luckett [eOne Music], Jasmine Villegas [Interscope Records], Jordin Sparks [RCA Records] and Ariana Grande [Republic Records].

Other musicians backing Teyana Taylor on the highly-anticipated LP are Andre Harris (Usher, Marsha Ambrosius), Vidal Davis (Ciara, Mariah Carey) and A-Plus: Anesha Birchett & Antea Shelton (Candice Glover, Jennifer Lopez).

Mariah Carey has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“You’re Mine (Eternal)” is taken from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming album, which serves as the follow-up to 2009’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.”

The track – now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets – was written and produced by Mariah Carey and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

The super producer also contributed to the next albums by Rihanna [Island Records], Sam Smith [PMR Records], Lauriana Mae [Atlantic Records], Tori Kelly [Capitol Records] and Candice Glover [Interscope Records].

Video treatment for “You’re Mine (Eternal)” was handled by Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri, whose previous credits include “New Day” by Alicia Keys [RCA Records] and “Valentine’s Day” by David Bowie [Columbia Records].

The highly-anticipated new collection by Carey – which boasts further productions from Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, and Mike WiLL Made It – is scheduled to be released on May 6 via Island Def Jam Recordings.

Mariah Carey has confirmed a new song title from her upcoming studio album.

“Thirsty” will be included on the singer/songwriter’s upcoming studio album, which serves as the follow-up to 2009’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.”

The track was produced by Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis, who previously teamed up with Chris Brown [RCA Records], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Nicki Minaj [Republic Records] and Keri Hilson [Interscope Records].

Some of his notable credits include “XO” by Beyonce [Columbia Records], “Lay It On Me” by Kelly Rowland [Republic Records], “Watch ‘N Learn” by Rihanna [Island Records] and “Gone” by Jennifer Hudson [RCA Records].

For her new CD, the “#Beautiful” star also enlisted Jermaine Dupri (Ashanti, Whitney Houston), Bryan Michael Cox (Usher, Faith Evans), Mike WiLL Made It (Ciara, Jamie Foxx) and Darhyl “DJ” Camper (Elle Varner, Chrisette Michele).

“You’re Mine (Eternal)” is lifted from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming album, which serves as the follow-up to 2009’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.”

The highly-anticipated collection is scheduled for release on May 6 via Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings. As previously reported, regular collaborator Jermaine Dupri will serve as the album’s executive producer.

“You’re Mine (Eternal)” was helmed by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who previously teamed up with the artist on hit single “The Art of Letting Go” as well as “The Emancipation of Mimi” track “So Lonely (One & Only Part II).”

Among the other musicians backing Carey on the new LP are Bryan Michael Cox, James “Big Jim” Wright, Miguel, Nathan “Happy” Perez, Mike WiLL Made It, Darhyl “DJ” Camper, and Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis.

Mariah Carey has scheduled the release date for her upcoming studio album.

The singer/songwriter will release the new collection on May 6 via Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings. The set is preceded by lead single “You’re Mine (Eternal),” which will premiere on February 12.

Jermaine Dupri serves as the album’s executive producer. He previously teamed up with the artist on several hit singles including “Always Be My Baby,” “It’s Like That,” “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off” and “Don’t Forget About Us.”

In addition to new single “You’re Mine (Eternal),” the follow-up to 2009’s “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” will also include the Miguel-assisted “#Beautiful” and the Rodney Jerkins-produced “The Art of Letting Go.”

Mariah Carey has confirmed the title of her new single.

The singer/songwriter dubbed “Be Mine” as the next promotional single from her upcoming studio album, “The Art of Letting Go,” out later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Def Jam Recordings.

The new track serves as the follow-up to previous single “The Art of Letting Go,” co-written and produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

Mariah’s last studio album, 2009’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart. That collection delivered hit singles including “Obsessed,” “Up Out My Face” and “Angels Cry.”

As previously reported, “The Art of Letting Go” will boast productions from Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox, Happy Perez, Darhyl “DJ” Camper, Mike WiLL Made It, and Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis.

Rihanna has reunited with Alex Da Kid for her upcoming eighth album.

The Barbadian princess is expected to release the new collection later this year via Universal Music Group / SRP / Roc Nation / Island Def Jam Recordings.

The pair previously teamed up on Eminem’s hit single “Love the Way You Lie,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. They also teamed up on “Talk That Talk” track “Farewell,” which was co-written by Ester Dean.

Born Alexander Grant, the British songwriter and producer also worked with Nicki Minaj [Island Records], Christina Milian [Young Money Records], Livvi Franc [Warner Bros. Records] and Cheryl Cole [Polydor Records].

Some of his recent credits include “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons [Interscope Records], “Final Warning” by Skylar Grey [KIDinaKORNER Records] and “Witch Doctor” by Tinie Tempah f/ Candice Pillay [Parlophone Records].

Rihanna’s new album is said to boast further productions from Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey), Nicky Romero (David Guetta, Calvin Harris), DJ Mustard (Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus).

Naughty Boy recently hinted at a new collaboration with Rihanna.

The pair previously teamed up on “Half of Me,” taken from the Barbadian beauty’s seventh album, “Unapologetic,” out now via Island Records.

The track was written by Naughty Boy – born Shahid Khan – along with Emeli Sande and Stargate’s Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen.

His debut album, “Hotel Cabana,” features guest appearances from Gabrielle (“Hollywood”), Ed Sheeran (“Top Floor”), Sam Smith (“La La La”), Chasing Grace (“So Strong”) and Bastille (“No One’s Here to Sleep”).

Fans of Naughty Boy’s production work should keep an eye on the next LPs by Mikky Ekko [RCA Records], Kat Dahlia [Epic Records], Tanika Bailey [Virgin Records], Lily Allen [Parlophone Records] and Ella Henderson [Syco Music].

Meanwhile, the new collection by Rihanna is expected to yield further productions from Rodney Jerkins (Leona Lewis, Janet Jackson), Nicky Romero (David Guetta, Calvin Harris) and DJ Mustard (Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez).
