Paloma Faith enlists Starsmith for a new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Paloma Faith has enlisted Starsmith for a new collaboration.

The multi-platinum selling songwriter, producer, remixer and DJ (born Finlay Dow-Smith) is known for helming Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed,” Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand,” Kwabs’ “Fight for Love,” Ella Eyre’s “Don’t Follow Me,” Kylie Minogue’s “Put Your Hands Up,” Mika’s “Staring at the Sun,” Clean Bandit’s “Real Love,” Betty Who’s “Better,” and M.O’s “Preach.”

His extensive resume boasts additional works with fellow producers and songwriters including Francis “Eg” White, Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, Talay Riley, Natalia Hajjara, Jonny Coffer, Ina Wroldsen, Jack Patterson, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Justin Parker, Al Shux, Joel Compass, Martin Terefe, Scott “Babydaddy” Hoffman, and Benny Benassi.

Meanwhile, Faith is expected to release her fourth album, tentatively entitled “The Architect,” later this year via Sony Music UK / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “A Perfect Contradiction” reportedly delivers further productions from Jake Gosling (Shania Twain), Greg Kurstin (Liam Gallagher), Fraser T. Smith (Adele), Klas Ahlund (Robyn), Jesse Shatkin (Kelly Clarkson), The Arcade (Rita Ora), Cass Lowe (Nick Jonas), Fred Ball (Rihanna), Knox Brown (Emeli Sande), Jamie Scott (Rag’n’Bone Man) and TMS (Liam Tomlinson).

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the album are Lindy Robbins (Selena Gomez), Wayne Hector (Jason Derulo), Chiara Hunter (David Guetta), John Newman (Olly Murs), Cleo Tighe (Foxes), Linus Wiklund (Noonie Bao), Isley Juber (Lykke Li), Alexander Kronlund (Demi Lovato), Maureen “MoZella” McDonald (Lea Michele) and Clarence Coffee Jr. (Allie X).

Britney Spears bounces back with new single “Make Me”

Britney Spears has unleashed her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the audio clip for “Make Me” – feautring G-Eazy – to her Vevo channel on Thursday (July 14, 2016).

“Make Me” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Joe Janiak (Adam Lambert, Ellie Goulding) and the song’s producer BURNS (Charli XCX, Louisa Johnson).

As mentioned in earlier, Spears is scheduled to release her ninth studio collection later this year through Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Britney Jean” reportedly delivers additional productions from Jason Evigan, DJ Mustard, Ian Kirkpatrick, Nick Monson, Christopher “CJ” Baran, Alex Da Kid, and Robopop.

On the songwriting front, Spears has teamed up with Julia Michaels, Carla Marie Williams, Simon Wilcox, Chantal Kreviazuk, Isley Juber, Phoebe Ryan, Mischke Butler, Justin Tranter, Breyan Isaac, and Matthew Koma.

Charlie Puth enlists Ammar Malik for sophomore album

Charlie Puth has enlisted Ammar Malik for his sophomore album.

The hit songwriter known for co-penning singles performed by Nick Jonas (“Chains”), Olivia Holt (“Phoenix”), Olly Murs (“Seasons”), Maroon 5 (“Moves Like Jagger”), Cashmere Cat (“Adore”) and The Vamps (“Wake Up”).

Malik’s resume boasts further works with Birdy (“Lifted”), One Direction (“I Want to Write You a Song”), Ariana Grande (“Why Try”), James Blunt (“When I Find Love Again”), Jessie J (“Harder We Fall”) and Cher Lloyd (“Oath”).

Meanwhile, Puth’s second studio collection is expected to hit stores and digital outlets in 2017 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to “Nine Track Mind,” which was released earlier this year and spawned singles “Marvin Gaye,” “One Call Away” and the Selena Gomez-assisted “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”

For the new album, Puth has also collaborated with Jacob Kasher Hindlin (Ciara, Meghan Trainor), Isley Juber (Beyonce, Shawn Mendes), Eskeerdo (Rihanna, Fifth Harmony) and Toby Gad (Madonna, John Legend).

Charlie Puth drafts Ilsey Juber, Eskeerdo, Toby Gad for sophomore album

Charlie Puth has started work on his upcoming sophomore album.

“New album with @ilsey @eskeerdo and @tobygadmusic,” the singer-songwriter-record producer posted to his Instagram account.

Eskeerdo is responsible for co-writing Fifth Harmony’s “Work from Home” [Epic], Chris Brown’s “Don’t Be Gone too Long” [RCA], Trey Songz’s “Change Your Mind” [Atlantic] and Rihanna’s “No Love Allowed” [Def Jam].

Meanwhile, Ilsey Juber’s songwriting resume boasts works with Beyonce (“All Night”), K. Michelle (“If It Ain’t Love”), Mariah Carey (“Infinity”), Jennifer Lopez (“Never Satisfied”) and Snoh Aalegra (“Emotional”).

Finally, Toby Gad’s notable songwriting / production credits include John Legend’s “All of Me” [Columbia], Madonna’s “Unapologetic Bitch” [Interscope] and Tori Kelly’s “First Heartbreak” [Capitol].

As for Puth’s forthcoming second studio collection, no release date has been set as of yet. The still-untitled project follows “Nine Track Mind,” which peaked to number six on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart earlier this year.

On the songwriting front, Puth previously co-penned songs for CeeLo Green (“Working Heroes”), Bonnie McKee (“Bombastic”), Jason Derulo (“Broke”), Thomas Rhett (“I Feel Good”) and Pitbull (“Celebrate”).

He also contributed to the next projects by Kehlani [Atlantic], Fergie [Interscope], Zara Larsson [Epic] and Nico & Vinz [Warner Brothers].
