Marsha Ambrosius reveals details for third album “Nyla”

Marsha Ambrosius has revealed the details for her upcoming album.

The British singer/songwriter christened her third studio collection “Nyla” and will release it on September 28 via Human Re Sources / eOne Music.

Current promotional single “Flood” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

On the follow-up to 2014’s “Friends and Lovers,” Ambrosius has teamed up with The Stereotypes, Ivan “Orthodox” Barias, Darhyl “DJ” Camper, Benny Cassette, Harmony “H-Money” Samuels, and Bernard “Focus” Edwards Jr.

As a songwriter, Ambrosius is known co-writing tracks performed by Michael Jackson (“Butterflies”), Alicia Keys (“Go Ahead”), Mario (“Why”), LeToya Luckett (“Matter”), Sterling Simms (“Let Her Go”), Jamie Foxx (“Number One”), Raven Symone (“Go Ahead”) and H.E.R. (“Wait for It”).

Brave Williams premieres “Oooh Luv Ya” music video

Brave Williams has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“Oooh Luv Ya” – written by Williams and Candy Shields – marks the first promotional single from the R&B artist’s upcoming EP, “Fearless.”

Production duties on “Oooh Luv Ya” were handled by Milk & Sizz along with Ivan “Orthodox” Barias, who’s also responsible for Guordan Banks’ “Good at What You Do” and Jazmine Sullivan’s “My Foolish Heart.”

Guordan Banks teams up with Ivan Barias for new single “Good At What You Do”

Guordan Banks has debuted his new single online.

“Good At What You Do” is lifted from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming mini-album, “I Wanna Sing for Oprah,” out soon via Dreamchasers Records.

The track was produced by Ivan “Orthodox” Barias, whose recent credits include Ledisi’s “88 Boxes” [Virgin EMI Records], Chrisette Michele’s “Love Won’t Leave Me Out” [Motown Records] and TGT’s “Burn Out” [Atlantic Records].

Meanwhile, Banks previously co-wrote hit singles “Who Do We Think We Are” by John Legend [Columbia Records], “Trust and Believe” by Keyshia Cole [Geffen Records] and Marcus Canty’s “Used By You” [Epic Records].

Brave Williams has debuted her new single online.

The singer/songwriter – born Christina Williams – posted “Oooh (Luv Ya)” to her Official SoundCloud Page on Monday (May 12, 2014).

The track – written by Brave Williams along with Candy Shields – marks the first promotional single from the artist’s upcoming EP, “Fearless.”

Production duties were handled by Milk & Sizz along with Ivan “Orthodox” Barias, whose resume includes works for Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records], Keyshia Cole [Interscope Records] and Ledisi [Verve Forecast].

In case you didn’t know, Brave used to be a member of R&B quartet RichGirl along with Amber “Sevyn” Streeter, Krystal Lyndriette and Audra Simmons.

Chrisette Michele has unveiled the music video for her new single online.

“Love in the Afternoon” – which features Nello Luchi – marks the fourth promotional single from the R&B singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Better,” out now via Universal Music Group / Motown Records / Def Jam Recordings.

The track was written by Michele – born Chrisette Payne – along with British record producer Isra “Wizzy Wow” Lohata, who previously teamed up with the artist on the 2 Chainz-assisted hit single “Charades.”

“Love in the Afternoon” serves as the follow-up to previous release “Love Won’t Leave Me Out,” produced by Ivan Barias and Carvin Haggins.

“Better” yields additional alliances from Shea Taylor (Daley, Bridget Kelly), Darhyl Camper (Jay Z, Elle Varner), Chuck Harmony (Tamia, Keke Wyatt), Warren Felder (Rihanna, Trey Songz) and Andrew Wansel (Usher, Nicki Minaj).

In related news, Michele recently co-wrote “Can’t Help Who You Love” for Ledisi along with Stacy Barthe, Arden Altino and Jerry Duplessis. The track appears on Ledisi’s latest album, “The Truth,” out now via Verve Music Group.

Ledisi unwraps credits for new album “The Truth”

Ledisi has unwrapped the songwriting credits for her upcoming album, which serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “Pieces of Me.”

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “The Truth” in the United States on March 11 via Universal Music Group / Verve Music Group.

Lead single “I Blame You” was written by Ledisi along with regular collaborators Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony.

Other album songwriters include Johnta Austin (Brandy, Mariah Carey), Stacy Barthe (Rihanna, Melanie Fiona), Ivan Barias (Tamia, Jazmine Sullivan), Carvin Haggins (Estelle, Faith Evans) and John Webb Jr. (Karmin, Jessie J).

On the production front, Ledisi has teamed up with Jerry Duplessis (RaVaughn, Sean Paul), Arden Altino (Jay-Z, Keri Hilson), Akene Dunkley (Anthony Hamilton, Keyshia Cole), Drumma Boy (Goapele, Chris Brown), Darhyl Camper (R. Kelly, Elle Varner) and Rex Rideout (Tank, Angie Stone).

Ledisi unveils official artwork for new album ‘The Truth’

Ledisi has unveiled the official artwork for her new album online.

The singer/songwriter will release “The Truth” in the United States on March 11 via Universal Music Group / Verve Music Group.

The photo was taken by Derek Blanks, who also directed the set’s lead single “I Blame You” (co-written by Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony).

Among the other musicians backing Ledisi on the new collection – which serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “Pieces of Me” – are Jerry Duplessis, Angela Hunte, Darhyl Camper, Stacy Barthe, Carvin Haggins, and Ivan Barias.
