Louisa Johnson confirms new promotional single “Yes”

Louisa Johnson has confirmed the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Yes” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming debut album under Simon Cowell’s Sony imprint Syco Music.

The 2 Chainz-featuring track was written by Camille “Kamille” Purcell, Andrew “BullySongs” Bullimore, Matthew Radosevich, Christopher “Chris Loco” Crowhurst and Goldfingers (aka Linus Nordstrom and Frank Nobel).

Louisa’s last single “Best Behaviour” – which was co-written by Shungudzo and Danny Parker and produced by Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn and Thomas “Froe” Barnes – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her debut album reportedly boasts additional productions from Toby Gad, Burns, Steve Mac, Jake Gosling, Dave Bassett, Ian Lovatt, Arnthor Birgisson, Joe Janiak, Digital Farm Animals, Jason Evigan, and Cutfather.

On the songwriting front, Louisa has also worked with Maegan Cottone, Anouck “Nuuxs” Boungnang, Iain James, Priscilla Renea, Jacob Kasher, Caroline Ailin, Marlon Roudette, Ina Wroldsen, Chloe Angelides, Ali Tamposi, Maureen “MoZella” McDonald, Sam Romans, Negin Djafari, and Linnea Sodahl.

Ariana Grande announces new single “Into You”

Ariana Grande has announced the title for her new single.

The singer-songwriter christened “Into You” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming third album, “Dangerous Woman.”

The track was co-written by Savan Kotecha (Tori Kelly, Justin Bieber), Alexander Kronlund (Tinashe, Fifth Harmony), Ilya Salmanzadeh (Jennifer Lopez, Natalie La Rose) and Max Martin (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake).

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Dangerous Woman” is scheduled for release on May 20 via Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

The highly anticipated project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “My Everything,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Break Free” and “Love Me Harder.”

Other musicians backing Grande on the new album are Johan Carlsson, Ross Golan, Tommy Brown, Victoria Monet, Mr. Franks, Peter Svensson, Twice as Nice, Jacob Kasher, Chloe Angelides, Ali Payami, and Billboard.

Meghan Trainor has worked with Ross Golan and Johan Carlsson for her new album.

The songwriting and production duo are responsible for Mika’s “Talk About You” [Casablanca], Jason Derulo’s “Pain Killer” [Warner Bros], One Direction’s “If I Could Fly” [Syco], and The Vamps’ “Held By Me” [Island].

Furthermore, Golan and Carlsson have collectively worked with Colbie Caillat (“Nice Guys”), Maroon 5 (“Unkiss Me”), Ariana Grande (“Just a Little Bit of Your Heart”), and Selena Gomez (“Same Old Love”).

Meanwhile, Trainor is scheduled to release her forthcoming studio collection next year through Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The follow-up to 2015’s “Title” features additional alliances with Ricky Reed (Fifth Harmony), Jacob Kasher (Carly Rae Jepsen), Lunchmoney Lewis (Ciara), Taylor Parks (Chris Brown), and Babyface (Madonna).

Carly Rae Jepsen has dropped the music video for her new single online.

The Canadian singer/songwriter posted the Gia Coppola-directed clip for “Your Type” to her Vevo channel on Monday (November 02, 2015).

“Your Type” was co-written by Tavish Crowe and Wayne Hector, whose recent credits include Jess Glynne’s “Take Me Home” [Atlantic], Rudimental’s “All That Love” f/ Anne-Marie [Asylum] and Mika’s “Staring at the Sun” [Casablanca].

Production duties were handled by Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub, who are also responsible for Demi Lovato’s “Stars” [Hollywood], Madonna’s “Devil Prey” [Interscope] and The Vamps’ “Somebody to You” [Virgin EMI].

Jepsen’s latest studio collection “E.MO.TION” – featuring singles “I Really Like You,” “All That” and “Run Away With Me” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with School Boy Records and Interscope Records.

Other album contributors include Greg Kurstin (Adele), Noonie Bao (Charli XCX), Shellback (Taylor Swift), Dev Hynes (FKA twigs), Ariel Rechtshaid (Sky Ferreira), Jacob Kasher (Charlie Puth) and Greg Wells (Katy Perry).

One Direction debuts “Perfect” music video

One Direction have debuted the music video for their new single online.

The British-Irish quartet posted the visual clip for “Perfect” to their Vevo channel on Tuesday (October 20, 2015).

“Perfect” was written by group members Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson along with Mozella (Rihanna), Jacob Kasher (Zara Larsson), Jesse Shatkin (Foxes), John Henry Ryan (Colbie Caillat) and Julian Bunetta (Ben Haenow).

Video treatment was handled by Sophie Muller, whose other credits include Selena Gomez’s “Good for You” [Interscope], Labrinth’s “Jealous” [Syco Music], Rihanna’s “Stay” [Def Jam] and Birdy’s “Wings” [Atlantic].

One Direction’s upcoming fifth album “Made in the A.M.” – featuring previous singles “Drag Me Down” and “Infinity” – is scheduled to hit stores on November 13 through Syco Music in conjunction with Columbia Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “Four” spawns further contributions from Jamie Scott (Ella Henderson), Ross Golan (Charli XCX), Ed Drewett (Craig David), Wayne Hector (Jess Glynne) and Ammar Malik (Nick Jonas).

Selena Gomez has unwrapped the tracklisting for her upcoming album.

The actress, singer, and songwriter is scheduled to release “Revival” on October 9 through Universal Music Group imprint Interscope Records.

Current single “Same Old Love” – out now via iTunes – was helmed by Charli XCX (Neon Jungle, Ryn Weaver), Ross Golan (Mika, Colbie Caillat), Benny Blanco (Sia, The Weeknd) and Stargate (Rihanna, Kelly Rowland).

Other producers backing Gomez on “Revival” are Max Martin (Tinashe), Rock Mafia (Miley Cyrus), Mattman & Robin (Taylor Swift), Chris Braide (Sia), Hit-Boy (Rihanna), Nolan Lambroza (Justin Bieber) and Steve Mac (Little Mix).

Album songwriters are Julia Michaels (Bea Miller), Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani), Shane Stevens (Little Boots), Chloe Angelides (Jessie J), Jacob Kasher (Ciara), Nick Monson (Lady Gaga) and Felix Snow (Rita Ora).

Gomez’s last studio collection, 2013’s “Stars Dance,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned two international hit singles in the shape of “Come and Get It” and “Slow Down.”

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Party Favors” – featuring Young Thug – to her SoundCloud channel on Wednesday (September 09, 2015).

Production duties on “Party Favors” were collectively handled by Allen Ritter (DJ Khaled, French Montana), Illangelo (The Weeknd, Wiz Khalifa), Boi-1da (Elle Varner, Kelly Rowland) and Vinylz (Drake, Jamie Foxx).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Tinashe’s upcoming sophomore album “Joyride” will hit stores and digital outlets later this year through RCA Records.

The follow-up to 2014’s “Aquarius” boasts further alliances from Dr. Luke (Ciara, Nicki Minaj), Cirkut (Rihanna, The Weeknd), Jacob Kasher (Rita Ora, Maroon 5), Ammo (Sia, Katy Perry) and Max Martin (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato).
