Paloma Faith teases new collaboration with Sia Furler

Paloma Faith has teased a new collaboration with Sia Furler.

“Super happy that you are all loving my collaboration with the amazing @Sia #Warrior. Coming soon on my new album …” the British singer/songwriter posted on Twitter.

Sia’s recent songwriting credits include Zayn Malik’s “Dusk Till Dawn,” Camila Cabello’s “Crying in the Club,” Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm,” Halsey’s “Devil in Me,” and Brooke Candy’s “Living Out Loud.”

The Australian artist’s last album, “This is Acting,” was released in 2016 via Puzzle Monkey Records in partnership with Sony Music’s RCA Records. That collection peaked to number four on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Alive” and “Cheap Thrills.”

Meanwhile, Faith’s current promotional single “Cry Baby” – which was written with Cleo Tighe, Lindy Robbins, and Finlay “Starsmith” Dow-Smith – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her upcoming fourth studio collection, “The Architect,” is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment UK.

The highly-anticipated project reportedly boasts further contributions from Jesse Shatkin (Kelly Clarkson), Francis T. Smith (Maverick Sabre), Jake Gosling (Nina Nesbitt), Cass Lowe (Sam Smith), Fred Ball (Toni Braxton), Greg Kurstin (Liam Gallagher), Knox Brown (Jess Glynne) and TMS (Craig David).

Paloma Faith has released her new single online.

“Crybaby” – which was co-written by Faith alongside Cleo Tighe and Lindy Robbins – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Crybaby” were handled by Starsmith (born Finaly Dow-Smith), who is also responsible for Molly Kate Kestner’s “I Don’t Know,” Joel Compass’ “Vanilla,” Ella Eyre’s “Don’t Follow Me,” Kwabs’ “Fight for Love,” Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand,” and Mika’s “Staring at the Sun.”

Faith’s upcoming fourth studio collection “The Architect,” on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment UK.

Mario hits the studio with Jake Gosling, Carla Marie Williams

American singer/songwriter Mario Dewar Barrett, known mononymously as Mario, has enlisted the songwriting and production services of Carla Marie Williams and Jake Gosling for an upcoming project.

Williams is known for co-writing Girls Aloud’s “The Promise,” Alesha Dixon’s “The Boy Does Nothing,” The Saturdays’ “Never Giving Up,” Naughty Boy’s “Runnin’ (Lose it All),” Beyonce’s “Freedom” (featuring Kendrick Lemar), Britney Spears’ “Private Show,” and Craig David’s “Better with You.”

Meanwhile, Gosling’s production resume boasts works with Ed Sheeran (“Lego House”), Nina Nesbitt (“Stay Out”), Shawn Mendes (“Ruin”), Hilary Duff (“Tattoo”), James Bay (“Incomplete”), Shania Twain (“Poor Me”), One Direction (“Little Things”) and Christina Perri (“Be My Forever”).

Mario, on the other hand, is expected to release his fifth studio collection, tentatively entitled “Cosmo 17,” later this year via his new independent recording label, New Citizen LLC.

The highly-anticipated project follows 2009’s “D.N.A.” (previously known as And Then There Was Me), which peaked to number nine on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles including the Sean Garrett-penned/Bangladesh-produced “Break Up” and “Thinkin’ About You.”

Paloma Faith has announced the details for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Crybaby” as the first promotional cut from her upcoming fourth studio collection, “The Architect,” and will release it on September 1st via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As per ASCAP’s ACE Repertory, “Crybaby” was written Paloma Faith alongside Lindy Robbins (Dua Lipa, Kandace Springs), Cleo Tighe (Imani Williams, Zak Abel) and Starsmith (Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne).

“The Architect” serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “A Beautiful Contradiction,” which peaked to number six on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles including “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” “Trouble with My Baby,” “Ready for the Good Life” and the Pharrell Williams-produced “Can’t Rely on You.”

The highly-anticipated project reportedly boasts further contributions from Jesse Shatkin (Kelly Clarkson), Fraser T. Smith (Dan Caplen), Knox Brown (Mary J. Blige), Cass Lowe (Sam Smith), Fred Ball (Alicia Keys), Greg Kurstin (Liam Gallagher), Jake Gosling (Dido) and TMS (Ed Sheeran).

Niall Horan duets with Marren Morris for new song “Seeing Blind”

Irish singer/songwriter Niall Horan has recorded a new duet with fellowing recording artist Maren Morris entitled “Seeing Blind.”

The track was written by Horan alongside Ruth-Anne Cunningham (Stanaj, Bebe Rexha) and Matthew Radosevich (Keith Urban, Lea Michele).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Horan’s upcoming debut album – featuring singles “This Town” and “Slow Hands” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Universal Music Group / Capitol Records.

Rita Ora connects with Avicii for new single “Lonely Together”

British singer/songwriter Rita Ora has connected with Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer Avicii (born Tim Bergling) for his new promotional single “Lonely Together,” now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Featuring co-production duties by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat; “Lonely Together” was co-written by Ali Tamposi (Lea Michele, Demi Lovato), Brian Lee (Selena Gomez, Fifth Harmony) and Andrew Watt (Charlie Puth, Justin Bieber).

Preceded by the Steve Mac-produced / Ed Sheeran-penned “Your Song;” Ora’s upcoming sophomore album is scheduled arrive in 2018 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records UK.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further productions from Stargate, Jonny Coffer, Digital Farm Animals, Jimmy Napes, Leon Thomas, Jake Gosling, Mike Dean, Jason Evigan, Emile Haynie, and RITUAL.

Leona Lewis teams with Lauren Aquilina, PLESTED, Mac & Phil for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Leona Lewis has teamed up with Lauren Aqulina, PLESTED, and Mac & Phil for a new collaboration.

In addition to releasing her debut album “Isn’t it Strange” in 2016 via Island Records UK, Aqulina has also penned songs on the next releases by Taya, Kara Marni, Ella Henderson, Fleur East, Imani Williams, Liza Owen, Nina Nesbitt, Sarah Close, Tamera Foster, Kylie Minogue, and Etham.

Meanwhile, PLESTED’s current single “Habits” – which was co-written with Kane “KIN” Parfitt and Mac & Phil – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Composed of Matthew Holmes and Philip Leigh, Mac & Phil are also responsible for co-writing and producing Emily Warren’s “Something To Hold On To,” The Chainsmokers’ “Bloodstream,” Emeli Sande’s “Hurts,” Plested’s “Habits,” Carys Selvey’s “Shallow,” and Lost Kings’ “Phone Down.”

On the follow-up to 2015’s “I Am,” which peaked to number twelve on the UK Albums Chart, Lewis has also worked with Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey), Autumn Rowe (Kacy Hill), Jake Gosling (Shawn Mendes), Isley Juber (Jessica Simpson), Chris Leonard (Shania Twain) and Ali Tamposi (Justin Bieber).
