Sevyn Streeter confirms details for debut album “Girl Disrupted”

Sevyn Streeter has announced the details for her upcoming debut album.

The singer-songwriter – real name Amber Streeter – christened her first studio collection “Girl Disrupted” and will release it in early 2017 via Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Prolly” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by J-Doe (Usher, Keyshia Cole) and Michah Powell (Cassie, Skylar Grey) with production duties from Charlie Heat (Madonna, Kanye West).

“Girl Disrupted” reportedly delivers additional alliances with Tricky Stewart (Tinashe, Mariah Carey), The-Dream (Kehlani, Celine Dion), Mr. Bangladesh (Kelis, Teyana Taylor), and Cameron Wallace (Beyonce, Christina Milian).

Sevyn Streeter works with Darhyl Camper for debut album

Sevyn Streeter has worked with Darhyl “DJ” Camper for her debut album.

The record producer and songwriter is responsible for Nicki Minaj’s “Favorite” [Cash Money], Stacy Barthe’s “Flawed Beautiful Creatures” [Motown], and Tamar Braxton’s “Love and War” [Epic].

His resume includes further works with Bridget Kelly (“Friends”), Ella Varner (“Refill”), Chrisette Michele (“Let Me Win”), Mary J. Blige (“Self Love”), Keyshia Cole (“Trust and Believe”), and Mack Wilds (“Bonnie & Clyde”).

Meanwhile, Streeter is expected to release her first studio collection later this year through Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The still-untitled LP reportedly delivers further contributions from J-Doe (Usher, Jennifer Lopez), Sam Hook (Omarion, Miley Cyrus), Eric Bellinger (Brandy, Teyana Taylor), and Soundz (Ciara, Justin Bieber).

Sevyn Streeter shares “Love in Competition” acoustic performance

Sevyn Streeter has shared a new live performance video online.

The singer/songwriter posted the acoustic rendition for “Love in Competition” to her YouTube channel on Tuesday (January 05, 2016).

“Love in Competition” was co-written by J-Doe, whose other credits include Jennifer Lopez’s “Acting Like That” [Capitol], Ariana Grande’s “Right There” [Republic], and Kelly Rowland’s “Keep it Between Us” [Motown].

Production duties on the original version were handled by Da Internz, who are also behind Tamar Braxton’s “If I Don’t Have You” [Epic], John Legend’s “Made to Love” [Columbia], and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” [Cash Money].

Streeter’s latest mini-collection “Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

Other EP contributors include Dem Jointz (Dr. Dre), Candice Pillay (Rihanna), Hit-Boy (Beyonce), Micah Powell (Tank), B.A.M. (K. Michelle), Count Justice (Chris Brown), Tiffany Fred (Zendaya), and Mansur Zafr (Ashanti).

Sevyn Streeter has selected her new single.

The singer/songwriter – real name Amber Streeter – christened “Boomerang” as the next promotional cut from her second EP, “Shoulda Been There – Part 1,” now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

“Boomerang” was co-written by James “J-Doe” Smith, who also worked with Usher (“Clueless”), Jennifer Lopez (“Acting Like That”), Danity Kane (“Damaged”), Tank (“You’re My Star”) and Kelly Rowland (“Keep it Between Us”).

Production duties were handled by Chauncey “Hit-Boy” Hollis, who’s other credits include Rihanna’s “Watch ‘N Learn” [Def Jam], Nicki Minaj’s “Feeling Myself” f/ Beyonce [Republic] and Jennifer Hudson’s “Gone” [RCA].

Streeter is currently readying her upcoming debut album under Warner Music Group imprint Atlantic Records entitled “On the Verge.”

As a songwriter, Sevyn has worked with Ariana Grande (“The Way”), Chris Brown (“Fine China”), Tamar Braxton (“Pieces”), Alicia Keys (“New Day”), Jessie J (“Keep Us Together”) and Fantasia Barrino (“Get it Right”).

Meanwhile, fans of Hit-Boy’s production work should look out for the next releases by Brandy [MBK Entertainment], Elle Varner [RCA Records], Frank Ocean [Def Jam Recordings] and Selena Gomez [Interscope Records].

Rita Ora has announced the title for her new single.

The British singer/songwriter christened “Poison” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming sophomore album.

“Poison” serves as the follow-up to the Calvin Harris-produced “I Will Never Let You Down,” which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Rita’s second studio collection will hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly features productions from Dr. Luke (Usher, Britney Spears), Diplo (Madonna, Chris Brown), DJ Mustard (Rihanna, Keyshia Cole) and Dev Hynes (Tinashe, Sky Ferreira).

Songwriters include J-Doe (Jennifer Lopez, Sevyn Streeter), Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Justin Tranter (Fifth Harmony, Kelly Clarkson) and Priscilla Renea (Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys).

Sevyn Streeter has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “How Bad Do You Want It” to her official YouTube page on Monday (May 04, 2015).

“How Bad” was co-written by Chloe Angelides (Jessie J, Ariana Grande), J-Doe (Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez), Andrew Cedar (Pitbull, Jason Derulo), JHart (Usher, Trey Songz) and DJ Frank E (Madonna, Enrique Iglesias).

The track appears on the original motion picture soundtrack, “Furious 7,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

Video treatment was handled by acclaimed director and photographer Mike Ho, whose other credits include Chris Brown’s “New Flame” f/ Usher & Rick Ross [RCA Records] and Mary J. Blige’s “Right Now” [Capitol Records].

Meanwhile, Streeter’s upcoming debut album “On the Verge” – featuring hit singles “Don’t Kill the Fun” and “4th Street” – is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year under Atlantic Records.

Rita Ora has recorded new material with label mate J-Doe.

It is yet to be known whether their collaborative efforts were intended for Ora’s upcoming studio album or a future J-Doe release.

The rapper and songwriter – born James Smith – previously co-wrote Ariana Grande’s “Right There” [Republic Records], Jennifer Lopez’s “Acting Like That” f/ Iggy Azalea [Capitol Records] and Usher’s “Clueless” [RCA Records].

His resume includes further songwriting works for Tank (“You’re My Star”), Kelly Rowland (“Keep it Between Us”), Keyshia Cole (“No Complications”), Cassie (“Addiction”), Danity Kane (“Damaged”) and Sevyn Streeter (“nEXt”).

Meanwhile, Ora is scheduled to release her sophomore studio album later this year under Roc Nation and Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “ORA,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned hit singles including “R.I.P,” “How We Do (Party),” “Shine Ya Light” and “Radioactive.”

Songwriters backing Ora on the new CD are Priscilla Renea (Beyonce, Alicia Keys), Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Camille Purcell (Little Mix, Ella Henderson) and Justin Tranter (Kelly Clarkson, Nicole Scherzinger).

Lewis Hamilton has teamed with J Doe and Boi-1da on new material.

The British Formula One driver is currently recording his upcoming debut album and may release the still-untitled project later this year.

On the songwriting front, J Doe – real name James Smith – co-penned songs for Jennifer Lopez (“Acting Like That”), Keyshia Cole (“No Complications”), Sevyn Streeter (“nEXt”), Tank (“You’re My Star”) and Danity Kane (“Damaged”).

Meanwhile, Boi-1da recently produced six songs on Drake’s latest album “If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late” [OVO Sound / Young Money Entertainment / Cash Money Records]. Amongst the tracks in question are “Energy,” “Know Yourself,” “6 God,” “You & the 6” and “6 PM in New York.”

The Canadian hitmaker – born Matthew Samuels – also worked with the likes of Kelly Rowland (“Red Wine”), Tinashe (“Cold Sweat”), Nicole Scherzinger (“Casualty”), Nicki Minaj (“All Things Go”) and Chris Brown (“Party Hard”).

Bridget Kelly hits the studio with Da Internz for debut album “All or Nothing”

Bridget Kelly has teamed with Da Internz for her upcoming debut album.

The songwriting and production duo – consisting of members Ernest “Tuo” Clark and Marcos “Kosine” Palacios – recently helmed “Clueless” for Usher along with RoccStar, Dewain Whitmore and J-Doe.

They have also contributed to the next projects by Nicki Minaj [Republic Records], Rihanna [Roc Nation], Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Jazmine Sullivan [RCA Records] and Tamia [Def Jam Recordings].

Meanwhile, Kelly will release her first full-length LP next year. “All or Nothing” serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Cut To…Bridget Kelly,” which spawned the Kendrick Lamar-assisted / Shea Taylor-produced “Street Dreamin.”

Sevyn Streeter has unleashed a new music video online.

“B.A.N.S.” is lifted from the singer/songwriter’s debut mini-album, “Call Me Crazy, But…,” out now via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

The track was co-written by Eric Bellinger, whose resume includes works for Usher (“Lemme See”), Chris Brown (“Love More”), Brandy (“Without You”), Fantasia (“So Much to Prove”) and Jennifer Hudson (“Think Like a Man”).

Production duties were handled by Da Internz, who are also responsible for Candice Glover’s “Could’ve Been Me” [Interscope Records], Tamar Braxton’s “Tip Toe” [Epic Records] and James Arthur’s “Suicide” [Syco Music].

As previously reported, Sevyn – born Amber Streeter – is expected to release her highly-anticipated debut album later this year.

The still-untitled LP is said to yield contributions from Warren “Oak” Felder, Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, James “J-Doe” Smith, The Underdogs, and Dwayne “Dem Jointz” Abernathy.
