Taya schedules release date for new promotional single “Skin”

British singer/songwriter Taylor Fowlis, known mononymously as Taya, is scheduled to release her new single “Skin” on February 16 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Anita Blay (better known by her stage name CocknBullKid), whose songwriting resume boasts additional works with Little Mix (“Hair”), Neon Jungle (“Future Ex Girl”), Lilly Ahlberg (“Bad Boys”), Arlissa (“Same Road”) and Caitlyn Scarlett (“Lost in Space”).

Production duties on “Skin” were handled by Alan Sampson, who is also responsible co-writing and producing Jay Sean’s “Ride It,” Alesha Dixon’s “Every Little Part of Me,” Parade’s “Louder,” Zayn Malik’s “She,” Rita Ora’s “Kiss Me,” and Craig David’s “Louder Than Words.”

Taya is expected to release her next project – featuring further productions from The Electric, Fred Ball, Two Inch Punch, Lostboy, Sacha Skarbek, Knightstarr, Ollie Green, Grades, Scribz Riley, Ill Blu, Fred Cox, ADP, Carassius Gold, and Tre Jean Marie – later this year via Atlantic Records.

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the highly-anticipated collection are Sophie “Frances” Cooke, Lauren Aquilina, Dayo “Dyo” Olatunji, Chiara Hunter, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Caroline Ailin, Ina Wroldsen, Shae Jacobs, Jacob Attwooll, Evan “Kidd” Bogart, Sebastian Kole, Plested, and James Newman.

Toni Braxton schedules release date for new album

Toni Braxton has scheduled the release date for her upcoming album.

The American singer, songwriter, and actress will drop her eighth studio collection “Sex & Cigarettes” on March 23 via Def Jam Recordings.

Current promotional single “Long As I Live” – which was co-written and produced by Antonio Dixon – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

In addition to Colbie Caillat, who duets on Braxton on “My Heart,” the follow-up to 2010’s “Pulse” and 2014’s “Love, Marriage & Divorce” yields further alliances with Fred Ball (Rihanna, Jessie Ware), James Newman (Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris) and Stuart Crichton (Kesha, Tina Arena).

Toni Braxton reunites with Antonio Dixon for new promotional single “Long As I Live”

American singer/songwriter Toni Braxton has reunited with regular collaborator Antonio Dixon for her new promotional single “Long As I Live,” which is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

The record producer and songwriter previously teamed up with Braxton on the Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds-assisted “I Hate You,” “Roller Coaster,” “Sweat,” “Hurt You,” “Take it Back,” and “Reunited,” taken from the albums “Libra” [2005] and “Love, Marriage & Divorce” [2014].

As mentioned in earlier posts, Braxton’s upcoming studio collection “Sex & Cigarettes” – featuring previous promotional singles “Deadwood” and “Coping” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Def Jam Recordings.

The highly-anticipated project boasts further contributions from Fred Ball (Rihanna, Justine Skye), James Newman (Dua Lipa, Hailee Steinfeld), Stuart Crichton (Kesha, Tina Arena) and London on Da Track (Drake, Keyshia Cole).

Daya reveals new song title from upcoming sophomore album

American singer/songwriter Grace Martin Tandon, known mononymously as Daya, has revealed a new song title from her upcoming sophomore studio collection untitled “Allowed.”

The track was written by Daya alongside Michael Pollack (Kelly Clarkson, Alex Aiono), Ari “Lauv” Leff (Demi Lovato, Charli XCX) and Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike (Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson).

Daya’s current promotional single “New” – which was co-written by Brett “Leland” McLaughlin and James Newman alongside the song’s producers Sir Nolan and Stargate – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Her yet-to-be-titled second album and follow-up to 2016’s “Sit Still, Look Pretty” – featuring further contributions from Sean Douglas, Jesse Saint John, Sasha Sloan, Chloe Angelides, Simon Wilcox, Deputy, Toby Gad, and Lukas “Lulou” Loules – is scheduled to arrive later this year via Interscope Records.

Little Mix reunite with Rachel Furner for new collaboration

Little Mix have reunited with Rachel Furner for a new collaboration.

“Great week writing with @littlemix and the most amazing writers,” the British singer/songwriter posted to Instagram on Friday (December 15, 2017).

Furner previously co-wrote “Secret Love Song” for Little Mix alongside Emma Rohan and Jez Ashurst. The Jayson DeZuzuio-produced/Jason Derulo-featuring cut peaked to number six on the UK Singles Chart.

Furner’s songwriting resume boasts additional works with Craig David (“Love Me Like It’s Yesterday”), Frances (“Under Our Feet”), The Vamps (“Personal”), Earl (“Travelling Heart”), Matt Terry (“Trouble”), Catherine McGrath (“Talk of This Town”), Una Healy (“Staring at the Moon”) and Grey (“Room 101”).

Meanwhile, Little Mix – composed of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – are expected to release their fifth studio collection early next year via Syco Music (UK) and Columbia Records (US).

The follow-up to 2016’s “Glory Days” reportedly delivers additional songwriting contributions and productions from Red Triangle, Sinead Harnett, Jez Ashurst, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Tre Jean-Marie, Chelcee Grimes, Iain James, Fridolin “Freedo” Walcher, Philip Plested, and James Newman.

British singer/songwriter Daniel Sebastian Caplen, professionally known as Dan Caplen, has shared his new promotional single online.

“Two Fingers” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written and produced by Two Inch Punch, who is also responsible for Ella Eyre’s “Deeper,” Sam Smith’s “Money on My Mind,” Moko’s “With You,” Jessie Ware’s “Say You Love Me,” Anne-Marie’s “Boy,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human,” JP Cooper’s “Good Friend,” and Saya’s “Cold Fire.”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Caplen’s upcoming project – featuring the Ray BLK-assisted / Jordan Riley and Mark Ralph-produced “Flat Champagne” – is expected to arrive early next year via Atlantic Records UK.

The track was co-written by James Newman, whose other credits include Little Mix’s “Love Me Like You,” Foxes’ “Amazing,” Hailee Steinfelds’ “Digital Love,” Calvin Harris’ “Blame,” Ashley Roberts’ “Clockwork,” Becky Hill’s “False Alarm,” Jessie Ware’s “First Time,” and Diztortion’s “I’ll Be There.”

Production duties on “Coping” were handled by Stuart Crichton, whose resume boasts additional works with Kesha (“Learn to Let Go”), Ferras (“Closer”), Eden XO (“Say That Again”), Sweet California (“Hum”), Delta Goodrem (“Believe Again”), Tina Arena (“Love You Less”) and Jamelia (“Beware the Dog”).
