Sabrina Carpenter hits the studio with StarGate for new collaboration

American singer, songwriter, and actress Sabrina Carpenter has drafted Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen of Norwegian songwriting and production duo StarGate for a new collaboration.

StarGate recently co-wrote and produced “Body Talk,” taken from Canadian R&B duo Majid Jordan’s sophomore studio collection under OVO Music and Warner Brothers Records, “The Space Between.”

Other songwriting and production credits by StarGate include Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes,” Daya’s “New,” Camila Cabello’s “OMG,” Rachel Platten’s “Broken Glass,” OneRepublic’s “No Vacancy,” Julia Michaels’ “Issues,” Bebe Rexha’s “I Got Time,” and Charli XCX’s “After the Afterparty.”

Meanwhile, Carpenter is expected to release her third studio collection – featuring the Leland-penned / Jonas Jeberg-produced lead single “Why” – early next year via Universal Music Group / Hollywood Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Evolution” reportedly boasts further productions and songwriting contributions from Jonas Blue (Craig David), Jin Jin (Yebba Smith), Bastian Langebaek (Jess Glynne), Nate Campany (Tori Kelly), JHart (Kelsea Ballerini) and The Monsters & Strangerz (Carly Rae Jepsen).

Raye unleashes new promotional single “Decline”

British singer/songwriter Rachel Keen, known mononymously as Raye, has unleashed her new promotional single online.

“Decline” – which was co-written by regular collaborator Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and produced by Fraser T. Smith – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Raye’s next project and follow-up to 2016’s “Second” is expected to arrive early next year via Polydor Records.

On the songwriting front, Raye recently co-penned “If I Get My Way” for Little Mix alongside Sam “RØMANS” Roman and TMS (aka Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn, and Thomas “Froe” Barnes).

Fans of her songwriting works should also keep an eye on the next projects by Rihanna, Stefflon Don, Jess Glynne, Era Istrefi, Mabel McVey, Rudimental, Anne-Marie, Naughty Boy, Ellie Goulding, Ray BLK, and Louisa Johnson.

Raye enlists Jin Jin, Fraser T. Smith for new promotional single “Decline”

Raye has announced the details for her new promotional single.

The British singer/songwriter (real name Rachel Keen) christened “Decline” as the next promotional cut from her upcoming project under Polydor Records and will release it on November 3rd via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by regular collaborator Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett, whose other credits include Yebba’s “Evergreen,” Jonas Blue’s “We Could Go Back,” Kiesza’s “Don’t Want You Back,” Dom McAllister’s “Only One,” Little Mix’s “Grown,” and Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand.”

Production duties on “Decline” were handled by Fraser T. Smith, who is also responsible for Stormzy’s “Blinded by Your Grace,” Ray BLK’s “Baby Girlz,” Calum Scott’s “Rhythm Inside,” Dakota’s “Long Hot Summer,” Gavin James’ “Bitter Pill,” and Craig David’s “Heartline (Acoustic).”

As mentioned in earlier posts, Raye is expected to release her debut studio collection early next year via Universal Music Group / Polydor Records.

As a songwriter, she recently co-penned Justine Skye’s “Don’t Think About It” alongside fellow recording artist RØMANS and UK production team TMS (aka Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn, and Thomas “Froe” Barnes).

Raye also provided guest vocals on “Glue” by Canadian electronic music duo Somewhere Else, which is composed of record producer Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese and songwriter, fashion stylist, and designer Billy Walsh.

American singer/songwriter Yebba Smith, known mononymously as YEBBA, has released her new promotional single online.

“Evergreen” – which was co-written by Janee “Jin Jin” Bennett and George Moore – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

YEBBA’s upcoming debut project – featuring further productions and songwriting contributions from Diane Warren, Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Tayla Parx, Chris Loco, Two Inch Punch, Patrick “J. Que” Smith, Raphael Saadiq, and Harmony “H-Money” Samuels – is expected to arrive early next year.

She has also provided guest vocals and co-wrote “No Peace” alongside James “Jimmy Napes” Napier, which appears on Sam Smith’s upcoming sophomore album “The Thrill of it All” (PMR Records / Capitol Records).

Australian singer/songwriter Starley Hope, known mononymously as Starley, has unveiled her new promotional single online.

“Been Meaning to Tell You” – which was co-written and produced by Cory Enemy – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Starley’s upcoming debut project – featuring previous promotional singles “Call on Me” and “Touch Me” – is expected to arrive early next year via Universal Music Group / Tinted Records.

Paloma Faith has released her new promotional single online.

“Guilty” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by fellow recording artist Ella Henderson alongside Wayne Hector, whose recent credits include Emeli Sande’s “Highs & Lows,” Little Mix’s “Nothing Else Matters,” Taya’s “When You’re Sober,” Kaiser Chef’s “Sunday Morning,” and Jones’ “Til We Get There.”

Production duties on “Guilty” were handled by regular collaborators TMS (aka Peter “Merf” Kelleher, Benjamin Kohn, and Thomas “Froe” Barnes), who have also contributed to the next projects by Maroon 5, Anne-Marie, Era Istrefi, Noah Cyrus, Louis Tomlinson, Alma, Sabina Ddumba, Calum Scott, Mabel, Jess Glynne, Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas, and Rihanna.

British singer/songwriter Rita Ekwere, professionally known as Ray BLK, has enlisted Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph for a new collaboration.

Joseph is known co-writing and producing Rihanna’s “Man Down,” Alesha Dixon’s “Drummer Boy,” Jennifer Lopez’s “Emotions,” Nicki Minaj’s “Win Again,” Miranda Brooke’s “Hater,” Elle Varner’s “Where Your Man Is,” Kid Ink’s “No Miracles,” Ava Lily’s “Painkiller,” and Betsy’s “Time.”

The Haitian-American musician’s resume boasts additional works with fellow songwriters including Chantal Kreviazuk, Emily Warren, Taylor “Tayla Parx” Parks, Jessica “Harloe” Ashley, Tiwa Savage, Natalie Sims, Carmen Reece, Emanuel Kiriakou, James “JHart” Abrahart, and Rock City.

Meanwhile, BLK’s upcoming project – featuring current promotional single “Doing Me” – is scheduled to arrive later this year via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.
