Jessie J registers new song title “In Our Hands”

Jessie J has registered a new song title with ASCAP – The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

“In Our Hands” was written by Jessie J – real name Jessica Cornish – along with Dan Wilson (Adele, Taylor Swift) and Sacha Skarbek (Miley Cyrus, Jessie Ware).

The track is slotted for inclusion on Jessie J’s upcoming fourth album under Lava Records and Republic Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2014’s “Sweet Talker,” which peaked to number ten on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Bang Bang,” “Burnin’ Up” and “Masterpiece.”

Little Mix announces new single “Hair”

Little Mix have announced the details for their new single.

The British group – consisting of members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson – christened “Hair” as the second promotional cut from their upcoming third album “Get Weird.”

“Hair” – available for download from August 28 via iTunes – was co-written by Iain James (Dua Lipa, Craig David), Camille Purcell (Ella Henderson, Rita Ora) and Anita “CocknBullKid” Blay (MNEK, Neon Jungle).

Production duties were handled by Edvard Forre Erfjord and Henrik Michelsen of Electric, who previously teamed with Little Mix on hit single “Black Magic.” The Ed Drewett-assisted track debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Get Weird” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets on November 6th through Syco Music and Columbia Records.

Other musicians backing Little Mix on the follow-up to 2013’s “Salute” are Jin Jin (AlunaGeorge, Lion Babe), Maegan Cottone (Britney Spears, Fleur East), Jess Glynne (Rudimental, Clean Bandit) and Jessie J (Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus).

Jessie J premieres music video for new single “Flashlight”

Jessie J has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The British singer/songwriter – real name Jessica Cornish – posted the visual clip for “Flashlight” to her Vevo channel on Thursday (April 23, 2015).

“Flashlight” – now available for download via iTunes – was co-written by Sia Furler (Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani) and Sam Smith (Jimmy Napes, Mary J. Blige) and produced by Greg Kurstin (Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue).

The track is lifted from the upcoming original motion picture soundtrack, “Pitch Perfect 2,” out on May 12 under Universal Music Group / Republic Records.

Video treatment was handled by Hannah Lux Davis, whose other credits include Ariana Grande’s “Love Me Harder” [Republic Records], Lea Michele’s “On My Way” [Columbia Records] and Tinashe’s “2 On” [RCA Records].

Jessie J has shared the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the Tabitha Denholm-directed clip for “Masterpiece” to her official Vevo page on Wednesday (December 10, 2014).

“Masterpiece” was written by Emily Warren and Britt Burton along with Josh Alexander, who’s also responsible for Jojo’s “Too Little Too Late” [Blackground Records] and Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break” [Hollywood Records].

The track is lifted from Jessie J’s latest album, “Sweet Talker,” now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Lava Records and Republic Records.

Other album contributors include Max Martin (Tove Lo, Katy Perry), Diplo (Chris Brown, Britney Spears), Steve Mac (Ella Henderson, The Saturdays) and Jonas Jeberg (Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony).

The British singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Masterpiece” to her official Vevo page on Tuesday (October 7, 2014).

“Masterpiece” was written by Emily Warren and Britt Burton along with Josh Alexander, whose resume includes works for Jojo (“Too Little, Too Late”), Katharine McPhee (“Over It”) and Paris Hilton (“Heartbeat”).

As previously reported, Jessie J’s next studio collection “Sweet Talker” will hit stores and digital outlets on October 13 via Lava / Republic Records.

The highly-anticipated LP serves as the follow-up to 2013’s “Alive,” which peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart.

The British singer/songwriter – born Jessica Cornish – posted the audio clip for “Personal” to her official Vevo page on Tuesday (September 30, 2014).

“Personal” was co-written by Jenna Andrews along with Elle Varner, whose credits include Miguel’s “Use Me” [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records] and Tanika’s “Runaway” [Tim & Danny Music / Capitol Records].

Production duties on “Personal” were handled by Will IDAP, whose best known for helming Nico & Vinz’s “Am I Wrong” and “In Your Arms.”

Jessie J’s current single “Burnin’ Up” – which features 2 Chainz – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

Current single “Burnin’ Up” – featuring 2 Chainz – was written by Jessie J along with Andreas “Axident” Schuller, Eric “Wallpaper” Frederic, Chloe Angelides, Jacob Kasher, Rickard Göransson, and Gamal Lewis.

Other album songwriters include Elle Varner (Miguel, Emeli Sande), Jenna Andrews (Marsha Ambrosius, The Band Perry), Wayne Hector (Ella Eyre, Paloma Faith), and Sevyn Streeter (Ariana Grande, Chris Brown).

On the production front, Jessie J has teamed up with Pop & Oak (Usher, K. Michelle), Jonas Jeberg (Amerie, Kylie Minogue), Tricky Stewart (Ciara, Kelly Rowland) and Steve Mac (Ella Henderson, Leona Lewis).
