Kandace Springs hits the studio with Dan Wilson

Kandace Springs has recorded new material with Dan Wilson.

“Had an amazing day in the studio with Dan Wilson cutting a dope song, then rehearsed with the band for Kimmel tomorrow!!” the singer, songwriter and pianist tweeted on Wednesday (January 14, 2015).

Wilson is responsible for co-writing and / or producing Adele’s “Someone Like You” [XL Recordings], John Legend’s “You & I (Nobody in the World)” [Columbia Records] and Pink’s “The Great Escape” [RCA Records].

His extensive songwriting and production resume includes further works for Taylor Swift [Big Machine Records], James Blunt [Atlantic Records], Paloma Faith [RCA Records] and James Morrison [Island Records].

Meanwhile, Springs is expected to release her full-length debut album later this year via SRP Records and Blue Note Records.

New York-based songwriting and production duo Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken will serve as the executive producers for the still-untitled project.

Among the musicians backing Springs on the keenly-awaited album are Jack Splash (Solange, Alicia Keys), Stacy Barthe (Rihanna, K. Michelle), Andre Harris (Usher, Melanie Fiona) and Andrea Martin (LeToya Luckett, Ella Eyre).

Her self-titled EP is now available for download via iTunes (US). The mini-collection features singles “Love Got in the Way” and “West Coast,” as well as contributions from Steve Mostyn, Jessyca Wilson, and Brandon Hodge.

K. Michelle has debuted a new song online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Going Under” to her official YouTube page on Monday (November 24, 2014).

“Going Under” is lifted from the artist’s upcoming sophomore album, “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart,” out on December 9 via Atlantic Records,

The follow-up to 2013’s “Rebellious Soul” also includes previous promotional cuts “Love ‘Em All,” “Maybe I Should Call” and “How Do You Know?”

On the songwriting and production front, “AWBAH” is confirmed to boast collaborations with Eric Hudson, Sevyn Streeter, Andrew Clifton, Jessyca Wilson, Robert Shea Taylor, Ne-Yo, Warren Felder and Andrew Wansel.

K. Michelle has debuted a new song online.

The R&B singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “How Do You Know?” to her official YouTube page on Sunday (November 16, 2014).

“How Do You Know?” – which follows previous promotional cuts “Maybe I Should Call” and “Love ‘Em All” – is now available for download via iTunes (US).

The track appears on K. Michelle’s sophomore studio collection, “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?,” out on December 9 via Atlantic Records.

Keyshia Cole premieres music video for ‘I Choose You’

Keyshia Cole has premiered the music video for her new single online.

“I Choose You” marks the third single from the singer/songwriter’s latest album, “Woman to Woman,” out now via Universal Music Group / Geffen Records.

The track was written by Keyshia Cole along Lundon “Da Bridge” Knighten (Usher, Leona Lewis), Sean “Elijah Blake” Fenton (Ciara, Jordin Sparks) and Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Solange Knowles).

“Woman to Woman” – which serves as the follow-up to 2010’s “Calling All Hearts” – boasts further songwriting contributions from Guordan Banks (Mario, John Legend), Jessyca Wilson (Fantasia, K. Michelle), Ester Dean (Bridget Kelly, Mary J. Blige) and Terius “The-Dream” Nash (Celine Dion, Mariah Carey).

John Legend has unwrapped the songwriting credits for his upcoming album.

The singer/songwriter will release “Love in the Future” on September 3 via Sony Music Entertainment / G.O.O.D. Music / Columbia Records.

New single “Made to Love” was written by John Legend along with Justin Baron, Ernest “Tuo” Clark, Andrew Horowitz, Marshall Jefferson, Kimbra Johnson, Nana Kwabena, Lil’ Louis, Marcos “Kosine” Palacios, Dave Tozer, and Kanye West.

The R&B singer/songwriter – real name Kimberly Plate – will release “Rebellious Soul” in the United States on August 13 via Warner Music Group / MBK Entertainment / Atlantic Records.

New single “V.S.O.P.” was helmed by Andrew “Pop” Wansel and Warren “Oak” Felder, who have also worked on the next albums by Sevyn Streeter [Atlantic Records], Jennifer Lopez [Capitol Records] and MPrynt [Motown Records].

“I Don’t Like Me” will be included on the R&B singer/songwriter’s upcoming debut album, “Rebellious Soul,” out in the United States on August 13 via Warner Music Group / MBK Entertainment / Atlantic Records.

The track – written by K. Michelle and Bianca Alterberry along with David Arcelious Harris and James Alonzo Harris – serves as the follow-up to previous single “V.S.O.P.,” which peaked at number seven on the iTunes R&B/Soul Chart.
