Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are an American R&B songwriting and record production team.

They have enjoyed great success with various artists, most notably Janet Jackson, whereby the duo are responsible for hit singles including “Control,” “When I Think of You,” “Escapade,” “Miss You Much,” “Love Will Never Do (Without You),” “That’s the Way Love Goes,” “Again,” “Together Again,” “I Get Lonely,” “All for You,” and “Doesn’t Really Matter,” amongst others.

Jam and Lewis’ resume boasts further works with George Michael (“Monkey”), New Edition (“Can You Stand the Rain”), Mariah Carey (“Through the Rain”), Usher (“U Remind Me”), Mary J. Blige (“No More Drama”), Chante Moore (“Chante’s Got a Man”), Deborah Cox (“Up and Down”), Mya (“Free”), Heather Headley (“I Wish I Wasn’t), and Karyn White (“Romantic”).

Amongst the fellow producers Jam & Lewis have collaborated with are James Wright, The Avila Brothers, Jellybean Johnson, Dallas Austin, Teddy Riley, Jermaine Dupri, Scott Storch, Arnthor Birgisson, Anders Bagge, Brian Higgins, Telepopmusik, Rockwilder, Kanye West, Dem Jointz, and MNEK.

Janet Jackson debuts new single “Unbreakable”

Janet Jackson has debuted a new song online.

The singer/songwriter posted the audio clip for “Unbreakable” to her official YouTube channel on Thursday (September 03, 2015).

“Unbreakable” – now available for download via iTunes – was written by Jackson along with Jimmy Jam (Usher, Gwen Stefani), Terry Lewis (Mariah Carey, Deborah Cox) and Thomas Lumpkins (Jordin Sparks, Nelly Furtado).

Jackson’s upcoming eleventh album “Unbreakable” – featuring previous promotional cut “No Sleeep” – will hit stores on October 2nd through Rhythm Nation Records in partnership with BMG Rights Management.

The keenly-awaited project – boasting further alliances with Missy Elliot, J. Cole, Dem Jointz, and Mickey Shiloh – serves as the follow-up to 2008’s “Discipline,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Janet Jackson has unwrapped the tracklisting for her eleventh album.

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Unbreakable” on October 2 through her own imprint Rhythm Nation Records.

Lead single “No Sleep” – featuring Columbia recording artist J. Cole – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

As mentioned in earlier posts, the keenly-awaited project is executive produced by regular collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

“Unbreakable” delivers additional alliances with Dem Jointz (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera), Rodney Jerkins (Ciara, Toni Braxton), Thomas Lumpkins (Jordin Sparks, Nelly Furtado) and Avila Brothers (Usher, Anthony Hamilton).

Janet Jackson has unveiled the artwork for her upcoming album online.

The singer/songwriter is scheduled to release “Unbreakable” later this year through BMG Rights Management and Rhythm Nation Records.

In addition to the lead single “No Sleeep” (featuring J. Cole), the highly-anticipated collection will also deliver new cuts such as “The Great Forever” and the Missy Elliot-assisted “Burn it Up.”

On the songwriting and production front, Jackson has reunited with regular collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (Usher, Mariah Carey).

Other musicians expected to appear on the follow-up to 2008’s “Discipline” are Dwayne “Dem Jointz” Abernathy (Rihanna, Sevyn Streeter), Rodney Jerkins (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland), Jean Baptiste Kouame (Fergie, Chris Brown) and Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford (Kelis, Marsha Ambrosius).

Janet Jackson previews new song “The Great Forever”

Janet Jackson has previewed a new song online.

“The Great Forever” is slotted for inclusion on the legendary singer/songwriter’s upcoming eleventh album, tentatively entitled “Unbreakable.”

The track was co-written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who have also worked with Usher [RCA], Mariah Carey [Epic], Mary J. Blige [Capitol], Gwen Stefani [Interscope] and Little Mix [Syco].

Current single “No Sleeep” – which features rapper J. Cole and additional production duties from Dwayne “Dem Jointz” Abernathy – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

As mentioned in earlier posts, “Unbreakable” will hit stores later this year through Rhythm Nation Records in partnership with BMG Rights Management.

The highly-anticipated project serves as the follow-up 2008’s “Discipline,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and delivered three singles in the shape of “Feedback,” “2Nite” and “Luv.”

Janet Jackson’s “No Sleeep” gets a Two Inch Punch remix

Janet Jackson’s new single has been remixed by Two Inch Punch.

The British record producer and songwriter posted the reworking audio clip for “No Sleeep” to his SoundCloud channel on Monday (August 03, 2015).

“No Sleeep” marks the first promotional cut from Jackson’s upcoming album under Rhythm Nation Records and BMG Rights Management.

The track – now available for download via iTunes – was originally helmed by Jackson and regular collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, with additional production duties by Dwayne “Dem Jointz” Abernathy.

Two Inch Punch is known for co-writing and producing Years & Years’ “Desire” [Polydor], Sam Smith’s “Money on My Mind” [Capitol], Ella Eyre’s “Deeper” [Virgin EMI] and Jessie Ware’s “Say You Love Me” [Island].

Other notable works by the hitmaker – real name Benjamin Ash – are with Becky Hill (“Caution to the Wind”), Moko (“With You”), Anne-Marie (“Gemini”), Lulu James (“Sweetest Thing”) and Indiana (“Heart on Fire”).

Furthermore, he has contributed to the next projects by Raye [Polydor Records], Kacy Hill [G.O.O.D. Music], Sinead Harnett [Virgin EMI Records], Ava Lily [Naughty Records] and M.O. [Operator Records].

Janet Jackson has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter posted the visual clip for “No Sleeep” – featuring J. Cole – to her official YouTube channel on Friday (July 24, 2015).

“No Sleeep” was produced by Jackson along with regular collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who also worked with Usher (“Bad Girl”), Mariah Carey (“Through the Rain”) and Celine Dion (“Dance with My Father”).

Co-production duties were handled by Dem Jointz, whose other credits include Jordin Sparks’ “Right Here Right Now” [Louder Than Life], Rihanna’s “Cockiness (Love It)” [Def Jam] and Brandy’s “Put it Down” f/ Chris Brown [RCA].

Jackson’s eleventh studio collection and follow-up to 2008’s “Discipline” is scheduled to hit stores and digital outlets later this year through BMG Rights Management and Rhythm Nation Records.
