Ali Tennant hints at new collaboration with Nathan Sykes

Ali Tennant has hinted at a new collaboration with Nathan Sykes.

Tennant is known for co-writing Tulisa’s “Young” [Island Records], JLS’ “Billion Lights” [Epic Records] and Jessie J’s “Hero” [Republic Records].

His resume also includes works for The Saturdays [Polydor Records], Pixie Lott [Mercury Records] and David Guetta [Virgin EMI Records].

Meanwhile, Sykes is currently recording material for his upcoming debut solo project. The as-yet-untitled collection is expected to be released later this year.

Contributors include Harmony Samuels (Jasmine Villegas, Teyana Taylor), Rob Knox (Ciara, Justin Timberlake), Carmen Reece (Jessica Mauboy, Ariana Grande) and Khristopher Tynes-Riddick (RaVaughn, Delta Goodrem).

JLS unleash music video for farewell single ‘Billion Lights’

JLS have premiered the music video for their farewell single online.

“Billion Lights” is taken from the British group’s upcoming collection, “Goodbye – The Greatest Hits,” out in the United Kingdom on November 18 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track was co-written by Camille Purcell and Alistair Tennant, who previously collaborated with JLS on singles “Proud” and “Hottest Girl in the World.”

Production duties were handled by Sandy “Vee” Wilhelm, who is also responsible for “Selfish” by Britney Spears [RCA Records], “Higher” by Taio Cruz [Island Records] and “Wet” by Nicole Scherzinger [Interscope Records].

JLS debut final single ‘Billion Lights’

JLS have debuted their new single online.

“Billion Lights” marks the lead promotional single from the British group’s upcoming compilation, “Goodbye – The Greatest Hits,” out on November 18 via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The track – available for download from November 11 via iTunes and other online outlets – was co-written by Camille Purcell (The Saturdays, Little Mix) and Alistair Tennnant (Pixie Lott, Tulisa Contostavlos).

“Goodbye – The Greatest Hits” will feature previous singles “Beat Again,” “Everybody in Love,” “She Makes Me Wanna” and “Hottest Girl in the World.”

Among the contributors to the collection are Steve Mac (The Saturdays, Cover Drive), Jonathan JR.” Rotem (Skylar Grey, Nicki Minaj), Nadir “RedOne” Khayat (Lionel Richie, Enrique Iglesias) and Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford (RaVaughn, Chris Brown).

JLS to reunite with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for new album

JLS are scheduled to reunite with hitmaker Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for their upcoming fifth album, out soon via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The pair previously teamed up on the track “Hold Me Down,” co-written by Eric Bellinger (Usher, Chris Brown) and Wayne Hector (Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj).

Jerkins also co-wrote and produced songs on the next albums by Britney Spears [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records], Kelly Rowland [Universal Music Group / Republic Records], Jordin Sparks [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records] and Enrique Iglesias [Universal Music Group / Republic Records].

Meanwhile, the new collection by JLS serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Evolution.” That release debuted at number three on the UK Albums Chart and delivered the Bangladesh-produced hit single “Hottest Girl in the World.”

The follow-up to “Hottest Girl in the World” was written by group members Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes and Jonathan Gill along with Jarrad Rogers, Emmanuel Orelaja and Jay Warner.

“Evolution” serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “Jukebox.” That release debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It also delivered hit singles “She Makes Me Wanna,” “Take a Chance on Me” and “Do You Feel What I Feel?”

“Have Your Way” is included on the British group’s fourth album, “Evolution,” available now via Sony Music Entertainment / Epic Records.

The track was written by group members Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan Gill and Oritse Williams along with Kevin “KC” Cossom, Jon Anderson, David Anderson, Andrew “Dru Brett” Harr and Jermaine “Mayne Zayne” Jackson. Production credits were handled by hip hop duo The Runners.

“Evolution” serves as the follow-up to 2011’s “Jukebox,” which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It also spawned 3 hit singles “She Makes Me Wanna,” “Take a Chance on Me” and “Do You Feel What I Feel?”
