Jojo enlists Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox for new collaboration

American singer/songwriter Joanne Levesque, professionally known as Jojo, has enlisted Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox for a new collaboration.

The songwriting and production duo are responsible for Mariah Carey’s “Don’t Forget About Us,” Usher’s “Burn,” Janet Jackson’s “Nothing,” Chante Moore’s “Straight Up,” Monica’s “Love All Over Me,” and Tamar Braxton’s “Get None.”

Dupri and Cox have also worked with Alicia Keys (“Girlfriend”), Faith Evans (“Tru Love”), Tamia (“Still”), Whitney Houston (“Never Give Up”), Christina Milian (“Girl Like Me”), Nivea (“Parking Lot”) and 3LW (“Feeling You”).

Meanwhile, Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection early next year via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

The follow-up to 2016’s “Mad Love” reportedly yields additional alliances with Billy Steinberg, Diana Gordon, Chris Loco, Natalie Dunn, D’Mile, Caroline Ailin, Kyle Shearer, ADP, Iain James, Digital Farm Animals, Patrick “J. Que” Smith, Big Taste, Nick Monson, Alex Hope, and Jussi “Jussifer” Karvinen.

Chris Loco teases new collaboration with Jojo

Chris Loco has teased a new collaboration with Jojo.

“Me today when @iamjojo laid the ‘scratch’ vocals,” the British record producer and songwriter posted to his InstaStory on Wednesday (October 04, 2017).

Born Christopher Crowhurst, Loco’s credits include Raleigh Ritchie’s “Stronger than Ever,” Emeli Sande’s “Garden,” Kevin Garrett’s “Little Bit of You,” Justine Skye’s “U Don’t Know,” Etta Bond’s “Kiss My Girlfriend,” Sinead Harnett’s “Rather Be with You,” and Professor Green’s “Lullaby.”

Fans of his works should also keep an eye on the next releases by Kamille, Diana Gordon, Louisa Johnson, Molly Kate Kestner, Erik Hassle, WENS, Kiana Lede, Raye, Jessie Reyez, Melissa Steel, Kenzie May, Becky Hill, Yebba, Anne-Marie, Tamera Foster, Kara Marni, and Ray BLK.

Meanwhile, Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection in 2018 via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

Jojo drafts Big Taste for fourth album

American singer/songwriter Joanna Noëlle Levesque, known professionally as JoJo, has teamed up with Big Taste for a new collaboration.

Born Leroy Clampitt, the Los Angeles-based record producer’s credits include Bebe Rexha’s “Small Doses,” Jake Miller’s “Overnight,” Maty Noyes’ “Falling Out of Love,” Dua Lipa’s “Genesis,” Adam Lambert’s “Two Fux,” Phoebe Ryan’s “Forgetting All About You,” and Justin Bieber’s “Company.”

In addition to contributing to the next projects by Raye, Jess Kent, Sabina Ddumba, Era Istrefi, Alma, Dagny, and Marina Diamandis; Big Taste has signed a record deal with Universal Music Group imprint Island Records.

Meanwhile, Jojo is expected to release her fourth studio collection in 2018 via her own imprint Clover Music in partnership with Interscope Records.

The still-untitled collection reportedly boasts further productions from Alex Hope (Troye Sivan), Digital Farm Animals (Liam Payne), Jussi “Jussifer” Illmari (Kelly Clarkson) and Nick Monson (Selena Gomez).

Jojo has unveiled the artwork for her upcoming third album.

The singer-songwriter – real name Joanna Levesque – will release “Mad Love” on October 14 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Fuck Apologies” – featuring Wiz Khalifa – was co-written by Taylor Parks and Whiskey Water with production duties from Oscar Holter and Matt Friedman.

Other musicians backing Jojo on “Mad Love” are Justin Tranter (Britney Spears, Justin Bieber), Hayley Warner (Tori Kelly, John Legend), Nikki Flores (Jordin Sparks, Christina Aguilera), and MNEK (Beyonce, Kylie Minogue).

Jojo’s previous studio collection, 2006’s “The High Road,” debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned the Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander-produced single “Too Little, Too Late.”

Jojo has scheduled the release date for her upcoming third album.

The singer-songwriter – born Joanna Levesque – will release “Mad Love” on October 14 via Warner Music Group / Atlantic Records.

Lead single “Mad Love” – featuring Wiz Khalifa – is now available for download via iTunes and all other digital outlets.

Other musicians backing Jojo on “Mad Love” are MNEK (Beyonce), Ina Wroldsen (Demi Lovato), Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani), Hayley Warner (John Legend), Taylor Parks (Alicia Keys), and Becky Hill (Imani Williams).

Her previous studio collection, 2006’s “The High Road,” debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned the Ruth-Anne Cunningham-penned / Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander-produced single “Too Little, Too Late.”

Jojo premieres “Save My Soul” music video

Jojo has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer-songwriter posted the Zelda Williams-directed clip for “Save My Soul” to her YouTube channel on Friday (January 08, 2016).

“Save My Soul” was co-written by Nikki Flores, whose other credits include Christina Aguilera’s “Empty Words” [RCA], Jordin Sparks’ “Silhouette” [Louder Than Life], and Jessica Mauboy’s “Kick Up Your Heels” [Sony Music].

Production duties were handled by The Family, consisting of members Anton Hård af Segerstad, Joy Deb and Linnea Deb.

Jojo’s mini-collection “III (pronounced Tringle)” – featuring previous singles “When Love Hurts” and “Say Love” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.

The EP boasts further contributions from Jason Evigan (Vance Joy), Benny Blanco (Justin Bieber), Harmony Samuels (K. Michelle), Wayne Hector (Birdy), Ammar Malik (Shawn Mendes), and Robopop (Charli XCX).

Jojo premieres “When Love Hurts” music video

JoJo has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter – born Joanna Levesque – posted the visual clip for “When Love Hurts” to her YouTube channel on Monday (September 28, 2015).

“When Love Hurts” was written by fellow recording artist Ryn Weaver along with Benny Blanco (Katy Perry), Jason Evigan (Fifth Harmony), Ammar Malik (Prince Royce) and Daniel “Robopop” Omelio (Lana Del Rey).

Video treatment was handled by Patrick “Embryo” Tapu, whose resume includes further works with Eric Bellinger (“ASAP”), Kaptin (“Ricky Ricardo”), Paypa (“All of My Everything”) and Nylon Pink (“Run Devil Run”).

Jojo’s current EP “Tringle” – featuring “Save My Soul” and “Say Love” – is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Atlantic Records.
