RAYE reunites with Jin Jin for new collaboration

British singer/songwriter Rachel Keen, professionally known as RAYE, has reunited with Jin Jin for a new collaboration.

Jin Jin (real name Janee Bennett) previously co-wrote “You Don’t Know Me” for Jax Jones and RAYE alongside regular collaborator Uzoechi “MNEK” Emenike. The track peaked to number three on the UK Singles Chart.

Other notable songwriting credits by Jin Jin include Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Mind,” Little Mix’s “Grown,” Clean Bandit’s “Real Love,” Bakermat’s “Don’t Want You Back,” Alex Newell’s “Keep it Moving,” Sub Focus’ “Love Divine,” Tinie Tempah’s “Mamacita,” Foxes’ “Scar,” Fleur East’s “Like That,” Aston Merrygold’s “Trudy,” and Krishane’s “Drunk & Incapable.”

Meanwhile, RAYE is expected to release her next project – featuring current promotional single “The Line” – later this year via Polydor Records.

John Newman has teamed up with Alex Salibian for a new collaboration.

The American musician recently co-produced Harry Styles’ debut solo single “Sign of the Times” alongside Jeff Bhasker and Tyler Johnson.

Other notable credits by Salibian – who is signed to Bhasker’s production company – include Cam’s “Want it All,” Mikky Ekko’s “Burning Doves,” Elle King’s “Kokaine Karolina,” and Young the Giant’s “Silvertongue.”

Meanwhile, Newman is expected to release his third studio collection later this year via Universal Music Group / Island Records.

The American record producer, singer, songwriter, rapper and DJ – born Timothy Mosley – is known for his works with Missy Elliot (“Work It”), Aaliyah (“Try Again”), Justin Timberlake (“Cry Me a River”), Nelly Furtado (“Maneater”), Rihanna (“Rehab”) and Beyonce (“Drunk in Love”).

Timbaland’s extensive resume boasts further works with Ginuwine (“Pony”), Adina Howard (“Sexual Needs”), Nicole Wray (“Make it Hot”), Keri Hilson (“Return the Favor”), Demi Lovato (“All Night Long”), Jennifer Hudson (“Pocketbook”), Kelis (“Running Mate”), Brandy (“Drum Life”), Solange (“Get Together”) and Destiny’s Child (“Get on the Bus”).

Meanwhile, Smith is expected to release his sophomore studio collection in late September via Method Records and Capitol Records.

Harry Styles has unleashed his debut solo single online.

“Sign of the Times” is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Sign of the Times” were collectively handled by Jeff Bhasker (Alicia Keys, Kanye West), Alex Salibian (Ellie Goulding, Mikky Ekko) and Tyler Johnson (John Legend, Ed Sheeran).

Styles’ songwriting resume boasts works for artists/acts including Ariana Grande (“Just a Little Bit of Your Heart”), Michael Buble (“Someday”), Gavin DeGraw (“Not Our Fault”) and Alex & Sierra (“I Love You”).

His upcoming solo studio collection is expected to arrive later this year via Erskine Records in partnership with Columbia Records.

Zara Larsson has selected “Don’t Let Me Be Yours” as the next promotional cut from her latest album, “So Good,” now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was co-written by Larsson alongside Johnny McDaid and fellow recording artist Ed Sheeran, who also penned songs for James Blunt (“Time of Our Lives”), Taylor Swift (“Everything Has Changed”), Hillary Duff (“Tattoo”), Justin Bieber (“Love Yourself”), Major Lazer (“Cold Water”), Tori Kelly (“I Was Made for Loving You”) and Jessie Ware (“Say You Love Me”).

Production duties on “Don’t Let Me Be Yours” were handled by Steve Mac, whose other credits include Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Clean Bandit’s “Symphony,” Louisa Johnson’s “So Good,” Birdy’s “Hear You Calling,” Anne-Marie’s “Alarm,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Thumbs,” and Demi Lovato’s “Kingdom Come.”

Rita Ora has signed a new deal with Atlantic Records UK.

“I’m so thankful to my new Atlantic Records family and First Access management for all their support and encouragement! The next chapter is going to be incredible,” the British singer-songwriter posted to her Instagram account.

Atlantic Records UK – which is an imprint of Warner Music Group – also houses artists including Charlie XCX, Jess Glynne, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Wiz Khalifa, Christina Perri, Jason Mraz, Lykke Li, and Kwabs.

As mentioned in an earlier post, Ora recently recorded new material with fellow recording artist Wynter Gordon (Beyonce, Mary J. Blige) and songwriter/producer Leon Thomas (Ariana Grande, Jessica Mauboy).

Her upcoming sophomore album reportedly delivers additional alliances with Diplo (Madonna), Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez), Justin Tranter (Gwen Stefani), Dev Hynes (Sky Ferreira) and Johnny McDaid (Harry Styles).

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “ORA,” which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned singles including “How We Do (Party”), “Shine Ya Light” and “Radioactive.”
