Rachel Platten announces details for new single

Rachel Platten has announced the details for her new single.

The American singer/songwriter christened “Broken Glass” as her next promotional single and will release it on August 18 via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

The track was written by Rachel Platten alongside Jarrad Rogers (Rita Ora, Charli XCX) and Nate Cyphert (Phoebe Ryan, Christina Perri).

As mentioned in earlier posts, Platten’s upcoming fourth studio collection and second major label album is expected to arrive later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further productions from Jon Levine (Kat Dahlia), Ryan Tedder (Hailee Steinfeld), Mick Schultz (Kelly Rowland), Jason Evigan (Nick Jonas), Warren “Oak” Felder (RAYE), Gian Stone (Fifth Harmony) and Jonas Jeberg (Selena Gomez).

Among the songwriters expected to appear on the album are Asia Whiteacre (Liza Owen), Sean Douglas (Demi Lovato), Fransisca Hall (Ella Eyre), Johnny McDaid (Harry Styles), Leland (Troy Sivan), Evan “Kidd” Bogart (Madonna) and Scott Harris (Melanie Martinez).

American singer/songwriter Rachel Platten has enlisted Evan “Kidd” Bogart and Mick Schultz for a new collaboration.

Schultz’s production credits include Jeremih’s “Birthday Sex,” Zendaya’a “Replay,” SoMo’s “Show Off,” Jessie James’ “Psycho Girlfriend,” Jenna Andrews’ “Oil & Water,” Rihanna’s “Desperado,” and Lights’ “Giants.”

Meanwhile, Bogart previously co-wrote “Hey Hey Hallelujah” for Platten alongside Caroline Ailin, Zukhan Bey, and Emanuel Kiriakou. The Andy Grammer-featuring track appears on Platten’s 2016 album “Wildfire,” which peaked to number five on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

His extensive resume boasts additional works with Madonna (“Ghosttown”), Britney Spears (“Love Me Down”), Rihanna (“S.O.S.”), Leona Lewis (“Happy”), Jesse McCartney (“My Baby”), Fleur East (“Love Me or Leave Me Alone”), Jason Derulo (“It Girl”), Demi Lovato (“I Hate You, Don’t Leave Me”), Lizzo (“Phone”), Olivia Holt (“History”) and ZZ Ward (“Domino”).

Platten, on the other hand, is expected to release her fourth album later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / Columbia Records.

The OneRepublic frontman is known for co-writing and producing Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” Hailee Steinfeld’s “Most Girls,” Beyonce’s “Halo,” Natasha Bedingfield’s “Love Like This,” Adele’s “Remedy,” Jordin Sparks’ “Battlefield,” Gwen Stefani “Baby Don’t Lie,” Ed Sheeran’s “Happier,” Ariana Grande’s “Why Try,” MØ’s “Nights With You,” and Taylor Swift’s “I Know Places.”

His extensive resume boasts additional works with fellow musicians including Noel Zancanella, Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello, Troy “Radio” Johnson, Greg Wells, Rico Love, Wayne Wilkins, Oren Yoel, Jeff Bhasker, Fernando Garibay, Richard “Biff” Stannard, Mike Caren, Stargate, Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Samuel “SOPHIE” Long, Jim Beanz, Timbaland, and Greg Kurstin.

Rachel Platten has reunited with Jon Levine for her upcoming album.

The Canadian record producer and songwriter previously teamed up with Platten on 2016’s “Wildfire,” which peaked to number five on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart and spawned singles “Fight Song” and “Stand By You.”

Levine’s other credits include Lea Michele’s “Anything’s Possible,” Samantha Jade’s “Always,” Dua Lipa’s “Blow Your Mind (Mwah),” Drake’s “Weston Road Flows,” Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy,” Little Mix’s “Red Planet,” Nelly Furtado’s “Well, Well,” and Kat Graham’s “I Think I’m in Love.”

Dua Lipa unwraps tracklisting for debut album “DL1”

Dua Lipa has unwrapped the tracklisting for her upcoming debut album.

As mentioned in earlier posts, the British singer-songwriter will release the self-titled collection – featuring singles “Hotter Than Hell,” “Be the One,” “Blow Your Mind (Mwah),” “Room for 2” and “Thinking About You” – on June 2 via Warner Bros. Records.

Current promotional single “Lost in Your Light” – available from April 21 via iTunes and all other digital streaming outlets – was co-written by Rick Nowels, whose credits include Lana Del Rey’s “Lust for Life,” FKA twigs’ “Good to Love,” Adele’s “Why Do You Love Me,” Tom Odell’s “Wrong Crowd,” Foxes’ “Wicked Love,” and Melanie C’s “Unravelling.”

Other songwriters backing Dua Lipa on the highly-anticipated project are Lindy Robbins, Autumn Rowe, Chelcee Grimes, Ilsey Juber, Lucy “Pawws” Taylor, Cara Salimando, Emily Warren, Caroline Ailin, Sarah Hudson, Lauren Christy, Sean Douglas, Talay Riley, Ferras Al-Qaisi, and Clarence Coffee Jr.
