Kelela liberates new promotional single “Blue Light”

American singer/songwriter Kelela Mizanekristos, known mononymously as Kelela, has liberated her new promotional single online.

“Blue Light” – which was co-written by Nia Andrews, Sam Dew, Alex “Bok Bok” Sushon, and Asma Maroof – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Blue Light” were collectively handled by Marc “Dubbel Dutch” Glasser alongside Alex “Bok Bok” Sushon, Ariel Rechtshaid, Terror Danjah, and Asma Maroof of of Nguzunguzu.

Kelela’s debut album “Take Me Apart” – featuring previous singles “LMK,” “Frontline” and “Waitin” – will arrive on October 6th via Warp Records.

The highly-anticipated project boasts additional contributions from Arca (FKA twigs), Talay Riley (Craig David), Kingdom (Dawn Richard), Jeremiah Raisen (Charli XCX), Boots (Deradoorian) and Al Shux (Lianne La Havas).

“Waitin” – which was written by Kelela alongside Dominic “Mocky” Salole and Dean Bein – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Production duties on “Waitin'” were collectively handled by regular collaborators Jack “Jam City” Latham alongside Ariel Rechtshaid (Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue) and Kwes (Solange Knowles, Eliza Doolittle).

Kelela’s debut album “Take Me Apart” – featuring previous singles “LMK” and “Frontline” – will arrive on October 6th via Warp Records.

Kelela unleashes music video for new single “LMK”

Kelela has unleashed the music video for her new single online.

The American singer/songwriter posted the Andrew Thomas Huang-directed clip for “LMK” to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (August 09, 2017).

The track – which was written by Kelela alongside Asma Maroof of Nguzunguzu and Jeremiah “Sad Pony” Raisen – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Kelela’s upcoming debut album “Take Me Apart” – which was executive produced by regular collaborators Ariel Rechtshaid and Jam City – will arrive on October 7th via Warp Records.

The highly-anticipated project boasts further songwriting alliances with fellow recording artists including Mocky (“Enough”), Romy Madley Croft (“Jupiter”), Nia Andrews (“Blue Light”) and Sabina Sciubba (“Altadena”).

Other musicians backing Kelela on “Take Me Apart” are Arca (Frank Ocean), Sam Dew (Taylor Swift), Kingdom (Dawn Richard), Talay Riley (Keri Hilson), Boots (FKA twigs) and Al Shux (Lianne La Havas).

Kesha drafts Ben Abraham, Macklemore’s Ryan Lewis for new single “Praying”

American singer/songwriter Kesha has unleashed her new single online.

“Praying” – which was written with Ben Abraham and Macklemore’s Ryan Lewis – is now available via iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and all other digital streaming platforms.

Kesha’s upcoming third studio collection “Rainbow” – featuring additional songs such as “Woman,” “Hymn,” “Bastards” and “Learn to Let Go” – is scheduled to arrive on August 11 via Kemosabe Records.

The follow-up to 2012’s “Warrior” reportedly delivers further contributions from Ricky Reed (Halsey), Chelcee Grimes (Rita Ora), BOOTS (FKA twigs), Tayla Parx (Ariana Grande), Captain Cuts (Bebe Rexha), Wrabel (Ellie Goulding), Ryan Tedder (Adele) and Justin Tranter (Nick Jonas).

BOOTS hints at new collaboration with Kesha

BOOTS has hinted at a new collaboration with Kesha.

“I have worked with @KeshaRose and she is a wonderful, talented, funny and beautiful human being with a golden heart. I support and love her,” the American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer tweeted.

BOOTS – real name Jordan Asher – first gained recognition for helming co-writing and co-producing “Blue,” “Haunted,” “Jealous,” “Heaven,” “Drunk in Love,” “No Angel” and “Partition” on Beyonce’s 2013 self-titled album, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

His other songwriting and production credits include FKA twigs’ “Figure 8,” Kelela’s “A Message,” Mikky Ekko’s “Pretend You Care,” Young Circles’ “Bones,” Run the Jewels’ “Early,” and Autolux’s “Hamster Suite.”

Meanwhile, Kesha is expected to release her next album later this year via Kemosabe Records in partnership with RCA Records.

The still-untitled project reportedly delivers further productions from Ricky Reed (Christina Aguilera), Stuart Crichton (Ferras), Captain Cuts (Bebe Rexha), Sacha Skarbek (Lana Del Rey) and Ryan Tedder (Ed Sheeran).

On the songwriting front, Kesha has worked with Taylor Parks (Alicia Keys), Chelcee Grimes (Calvin Harris), Stephen Wrabel (Ellie Goulding) and Justin Tranter (Britney Spears).

BOOTS’ sophomore album “Aquaria,” on the other hand, is now available via iTunes and all other digital streaming platforms.

Beyonce has released her sixth album online.

“Lemonade” is now available for download via iTunes in partnership with Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records.

The follow-up to 2013’s “Beyonce” boasts guest appearances from The Weeknd (“6 Inch”), Jack White (“Don’t Hurt Yourself”), Kendrick Lamar (“Freedom”) and James Blake (“Forward”).

Album producers include Diplo (Madonna), Mike Dean (Kanye West), Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend), Hit-Boy (Jennifer Hudson), Jonathan Coffer (Emeli Sande), Boots (FKA twigs), Just Blaze (Mariah Carey), Ben Billions (Travis Scott) and Mike WiLL Made It (Kelly Rowland).

On the songwriting front, Beyonce has teamed up with Wynter Gordon (Jennifer Lopez), The-Dream (Kehlani), Ilsey Juber (Charlie Puth), MNEK (Kylie Minogue), Carla Marie Williams (Britney Spears), Kevin Cossom (Mary J. Blige), Emile Haynie (Bruno Mars) and Rock City (Miley Cyrus).

“Lemonade” is also accompanied by a 60-minute short film of the same name, featuring visuals directed by Khalil Joseph, Malcolm Nichols, Melina Matsoukas, Todd Tourso, Dikayl Rimmasch, Jonas Åkerlund, and Mark Romanek.

Kelela has premiered the music video for her new single online.

The singer/songwriter – birth name Kelela Mizanekristos – posted the visual clip for “Rewind” to her Vevo channel on Wednesday (September 16, 2015).

Production duties on “Rewind” – out now via iTunes – were collectively handled by Kelela along with Kingdom, Nugget, Girl Unit, and Obey City.

As mentioned in earlier posts, Kelela’s upcoming mini-collection “Hallucinogen” will hit online outlets on October 9 through Chery Coffee / Warp Records.

The keenly-waited EP boasts collaborations with Ariel Rechtshaid (Usher, Justin Bieber), Alejandro “Arca” Ghersi (Bjork, Kanye West), Jeremiah Raisen (Sky Ferreira, Charli XCX) and Jordan “Boots” Asher (Beyonce, FKA twigs).
